“what’s inside this? don’t tell me it’s your cherished seeds?” wang yuan looked at the usb drive in his hand and asked in confusion.

“you’ll know when you open it after you get back,” tang rui replied with a smile.

“alright, have a safe journey, and send me a message when you’re home.”

“sure, take care, senior. i’m heading back now. i’ll come to see you for a drink next time.”

tang rui waved goodbye to wang yuan and got into his car, leaving.

the exhibition had ended.

the order contracts were also signed.

this trip to the capital had ended perfectly.

as for the usb drive tang rui handed over to wang yuan before leaving, it contained a filtering algorithm.

it wasn’t exactly cutting-edge technology.

at most, it was a bit more advanced than the current radar filtering algorithms, improving efficiency slightly, not something useful to him.

selling it wouldn’t fetch much money either. it was better to give it to wang yuan.

when he came this time, they didn’t even need him to ask; they directly helped him find people and made all the arrangements efficiently.

leaving aside other matters, this gesture of goodwill alone was enough.

moreover, with wang yuan having this thing and his family connections, his ascent in the ranks would be faster.

the same resources, in different hands, could produce completely different results.

besides, he didn’t lack this kind of technology.

when drones were further upgraded and strengthened, any random technology would become cutting-edge.

back home, tang rui rested for three days and didn’t even go to the company.

not that he wasn’t doing anything productive, but it was mainly because it was the weekend, and on saturday, he spent the day out with li shuyao.

on sunday, he went to south china university of technology to meet with a professor and had dinner with zhang zhipeng, his senior.

during the meal, zhang senior told him that the orders for the skyweb drones were completed, and he could pick them up at any time.

he had also placed orders for the components tang rui needed.

tang rui raised his glass and expressed his gratitude.

that evening, he really drank a lot. that was how three days passed.

on monday afternoon, tang rui finally drove to the company.

as soon as he entered the courtyard, he saw a pile of wooden crates.

“president tang, you finally came to the company,” lin chao remarked with a touch of irritation when he saw tang rui.

“brother lin, you’ve been working hard. let’s go out and have some fun tonight,” tang rui said with a smile.

“don’t talk about having fun; there’s still heaps of work to be done,” lin chao replied, handing him a stack of documents.

tang rui opened them to find procurement documents for the

vehicle-mounted firefighting drone integrated platform and military inspection documents.

in addition to those, there were also procurement documents for the vehicle platform and simulator he needed. lin chao had already made the arrangements, and once he signed and the payment was made, the items would be delivered.

the last document was for the purchase of an 8×8 field command vehicle, priced at 6.8 million. it retained most of the equipment, such as satellite, communication, and integrated information platform interfaces, but excluded some classified equipment like electronic warfare and secure communication information conversion devices. of course, if he wanted the middle east special edition, he could have all these stripped-down devices, but the price would be considerably higher.

tang rui wasn’t foolish enough to buy the middle east special edition.

with a swift signature, he approved these documents.

“when will these items be delivered?” tang rui asked after signing.

“the military vehicle chassis is readily available, and the manufacturer has them in stock. it should be delivered within a week at most. as for the field command vehicle, it’s about the same. if we send someone to pick it up directly from the factory, we can have it by the end of this week,” lin chao answered.

“by the way, brother lin, when will the funds for the middle east be ready?”

“it should be within this week, but not all in usd. if you need, you can keep 20% in us dollars. if not, we can convert it all to our currency and, after deducting taxes, deposit it directly into the company’s account.”

us dollars? he didn’t need them and had no use for them. after all, he had no plans to travel abroad unless he had enough confidence to take on the entire western world. otherwise, he would stay in china and focus on his development.

“i don’t need us dollars. i won’t need them until the time comes,” tang rui replied.

“alright, i’ll let them know,” lin chao said before leaving his office.

before tang rui could even pour a glass of water, his office door was knocked.

“come in.”

a researcher entered, and for a moment, tang rui couldn’t recall his name.

“is there something you need?” tang rui asked.

“president tang, the equipment for our laboratory has arrived. should we start the installation now?”

“equipment? what equipment?”

“most of the equipment for the materials laboratory has arrived. the stress corrosion machine, x-ray diffractometer, residual stress analyzer, emission spectroscopy analyzer, infrared carbon-sulfur analyzer, high-temperature creep and long-term strength testing machine…”

the researcher listed numerous equipment names.

it was only then that tang rui remembered the person’s name. this individual was gao mo, a materials researcher whom he had hired for the materials laboratory.

“get a few people and move the equipment to the materials laboratory. 1’11 come over to do the assembly later,” tang rui instructed.

“alright, president tang, i’ll take care of it.”

after gao mo left, tang rui went to the materials laboratory.

a group of people had already moved the equipment in, and the outer packaging had been removed.

“get two mechanical engineers over here. we’ll disassemble and reassemble these devices together,” tang rui said with a smile upon seeing the equipment. “disassemble them?” the researchers were puzzled.

“yes, take them apart and put them back together. it’s a good way to become familiar with the equipment.”

“alright.”

several researchers exchanged glances.

familiarize themselves with the equipment this way? well, since tang rui was the boss, he could do as he pleased. they weren’t concerned about whether disassembling and reassembling would affect the equipment’s precision. after all, the equipment was purchased with tang rui’s money. if something went wrong, it wouldn’t be their responsibility.

soon, they gathered around a piece of equipment and began disassembling it.

tang rui had the others stop and began reassembling the equipment on his own.

by now, even a fool could see what was going on.

the boss was just itching to take things apart and put them back together. and so, they played this game of disassembling and reassembling equipment.

as for whether this process would affect the equipment’s accuracy, that was not something they needed to worry about. after all, the boss had purchased the equipment, and the boss had instructed them to do this.

a few minutes later, tang rui had assembled one piece of equipment. with a flash of light, a system panel appeared.

the other researchers couldn’t see the system panel or the upgrade light.

[item: high-temperature high-pressure slow strain rate stress corrosion testing machine]

[experience: 0/1800]

[origin points: 88.28]

tang rui glanced at the system panel and saw that this piece of equipment had given him 8 origin points. not bad at all.

“alright, put it aside, and let’s disassemble the next one.”

“okay, president tang.”

and so, tang rui and his team continued their game of disassembling and reassembling equipment in the laboratory, playing until it was time to go home.

when the last piece of equipment was reassembled, tang rui looked at the system panel and saw that he had accumulated 117.28 origin points. he was quite pleased with this progress.

he now had over 100 origin points, which should be enough to comprehensively enhance the drones..
