the next day, lin chao arrived at tang rui’s company.

he didn’t come alone; he brought people from the security department with him.

on one hand, it was to educate the company’s staff about security knowledge and have them sign confidentiality contracts.

on the other hand, it was to install security systems on the company’s computers.

in the past, one could easily download things from the company’s computers using a usb drive.

but after installing the security system, that was no longer possible.

whether you were downloading things from the internet, uploading files from your computer to the network, or saving them to an external hard drive, it all had to go through the security system.

in reality, tang rui didn’t really need these things.

with celia around, employee attempts to steal company data were impossible under real-time artificial intelligence monitoring.

but there was no choice.

it was part of the process and had to be done.

in the office, lin chao placed a box in front of tang rui and entered a password to open it.

“these are your things.”

“my things?”

tang rui looked a bit puzzled and leaned in to take a look.

inside the box were three items: a tactical tablet, a spherical device, and a satellite phone.

“what are these?”

“special items assigned to you. this tactical tablet is connected to the military network. the spherical device is called the longbo lens; you probably understand it better than me. this phone is part of the same set as the tablet, with emergency numbers stored inside. if something happens, you can dial that number, but it’s best not to use it if there’s no emergency.”

lin chao briefly introduced these three items.

after listening, tang rui’s eyes lit up.

two of them were excellent.

the tactical tablet wasn’t extremely high-tech, but being connected to the military network made it special. the satellite phone was similarly useful, allowing him to make direct calls without the need for intermediaries.

as for the longbo lens, it wasn’t particularly interesting; he could make one himself, and it wasn’t high-tech.

“by the way, the commander asked me to remind you to bring the longbo lens next time you fly a drone and to apply for flight routes in advance. inside the tactical tablet, you have your identification code and access to the control tower. don’t fly recklessly.”

lin chao finished and smiled.

how much trouble had he caused to get the commander to specially approve an identification code and send the longbo lens?

“all right, i understand. 1’11 definitely apply next time.”

this time, tang rui was telling the truth.

previously, applying for airspace was troublesome and had restrictions.

now, everything was in place.

all the necessary equipment was ready.

if he wanted to fly a drone again, he could go through the military channels.

as long as there were no special circumstances,

applications would be approved in minutes.

if he still caused trouble with all this, then it would be his problem.

at noon, tang rui treated lin chao to lunch.

they didn’t drink; they just had a simple meal.

it wasn’t that he didn’t want to entertain properly.

the key was that it wasn’t the weekend, and he had things to do in the afternoon. lin chao also didn’t want to make it too complicated.

“president tang, is there anything else 1 need to do next?”

after the meal,

lin chao asked seriously.

his visit was to help tang rui solve some problems and strengthen communication between both sides. therefore, he needed to understand tang rui’s thoughts for future work.

“brother lin, there are actually quite a few things i need your help with in the future.”

“no trouble at all. that’s my job. just tell me what needs to be done.”

“okay, i won’t be polite then.”

after organizing his thoughts,

tang rui explained the issues that lin chao would continue to help him with.

“brother lin, i need you to help me place orders for some sensitive equipment.”

with the military five certifications, he could purchase and manufacture sensitive equipment and devices. even if he used the seamless steel pipe to engrave rifling, it wouldn’t be illegal. parts that used to require professor yu’s assistance for ordering could now be ordered independently.

although he had the qualifications, his relationships were lacking.

it would be troublesome for him to handle it on his own, so he had to trouble lin chao.

“these are all minor issues. just make a list for me,” lin chao casually replied.

these were minor issues and not a problem at all.

“next wednesday, there’s an exhibition in beijing, and you can register for it.” tang rui was a bit excited.

in terms of product performance, he was confident, but when it came to pricing, he was uncertain. how could budget products match the elegance of the camels?

according to the unwritten rules, his firefighting drones should sell for $24,000.

how was this price determined?

the cost was 1,200 yuan, with a zero added at the end. then, the cost with the added zero was multiplied by two, and the units were converted to us dollars.

as for whether this price was reasonable… it was absolutely not.

selling 10,000 firefighting drones would only net him $240 million. for the camel, what was that?

it was nothing.

“brother lin, can i get in just by registering?”

“don’t worry; this is an internal exhibition, so there’s no need to make a big deal out of it. besides, there won’t be many companies attending,” lin chao assured him.

from what he knew, the main organizer of this exhibition was cetc. they wanted to sell the field equipment that the army had previously rejected to tang rui.

other companies might come, but if they could sell a few items, it would be fine. if not, it wouldn’t matter.

“in that case, i’ll apply this afternoon.”

“is there anything else?”

“for now, there isn’t.”

tang rui thought for a moment and realized there wasn’t anything else to discuss at the moment.

many things that seemed difficult to outsiders were actually quite simple once you entered that platform.

back at the company, tang rui followed lin chao’s instructions and applied to attend the internal exhibition.

he had just applied, and when he refreshed the webpage, he found that his application had already been approved.

it was that simple.

but in the past, he would have struggled to get it done.

after applying, tang rui made a procurement list and had the logistics department purchase all the materials and parts needed for 100 firefighting drones. they didn’t need to be delivered to the company; they could be sent directly to his home.

by evening, he would be able to use the equipment in the basement to manufacture these firefighting drones.

the reason he didn’t outsource the manufacturing was that he wanted to upgrade the equipment in the basement.. after painstakingly disassembling and reassembling the equipment, how could he not use it to upgrade it?
