God's Imitator

Fu Chen explained, ”Distribution-type games are considered the safest type of game we’ve encountered so far.

”There are generally no direct death rules in them. At most, players only have visa time deducted.

”Moreover, distribution-type games also have a larger number of players. As long as you can find acquaintances in the game, you can execute team strategies, which greatly increases safety.

”The overall strength of our community is still quite strong. In the previous two distribution-type games, many players earned over a hundred thousand in visa time. The gains were quite considerable.”

Dai Yifan was somewhat surprised, ”Over a hundred thousand in visa time? That’s indeed a lot.”

Fu Chen coughed twice and added, ”But the premise is that newcomers must follow instructions and absolutely not try to be too clever. Otherwise, Luo Wei serves as a cautionary tale.”

The information Wei Yinzhang revealed actually didn’t serve much practical purpose. After all, he had only revealed the type of game, and even knowing it a day or two early didn’t allow the players to make any corresponding preparations.

But it still gave everyone a sense of security.

Especially considering the results from the previous two distribution-type games, it made them even more confident.

Wang Yongxin was also very much looking forward to it, ”If this distribution-type game can still yield a large amount of visa time, perhaps we can all make another donation and contribute the money to purchase the next immunity token.”If we donate enough, we might even activate new items.”

The players each went to make their respective preparations, such as reviewing the rules from the previous two distribution-type games, or trying to guess the possible direction of this game.

Of course, everyone also understood in their hearts that such preparations might not be very useful, but at least it provided some psychological comfort.

...

...

Three days later.

In the hall of Community 17, a broadcast notification about the game opening appeared on the large screen.

[Good morning, players!]

[The ’Gallery’ will open in 1 hour.]

[The name of this game is ’Simple Q&A’, and the game type is ’Distribution-type’.]

[The three players who participated least in proposal discussions within the community will be forced to participate in the game.]

[The mandatory participants from this community are: Dai Yifan, Zhou Guifen, Zheng Jie]

[In addition, this game has 2 voluntary participation slots, which will be randomly selected from willing players in this community.]

[Please prepare yourselves, players.]

Although they already knew in advance that this game would be a distribution-type game, after seeing the broadcast, everyone still let out a chorus of surprised exclamations.

”What? Really only five players can participate?”

”They can use this kind of condition to filter players?”

”Only 2 voluntary participation slots, this...”

Many people’s expectations fell through.

Although they had learned from Wei Yinzhang that this distribution game might not have full participation, seeing that there were only 5 slots still felt quite disappointing.

Li Renshu was also somewhat surprised, ”They can actually use this method to filter the mandatory participants?”

The players who participated least in proposal discussions within the community were most likely also players with weaker abilities and little presence.

This filtering method was more accurate than filtering by visa time.

After all, the amount of visa time couldn’t completely represent personal ability. Just like Wang Yongxin, who had donated his money down to only about 80,000, he was basically almost in the lowest tier of the entire community.

If they filtered purely by ’low visa time’, then after he entered the game, he would very likely end up being cannon fodder.

And even if stronger players didn’t like to speak much or had no particular opinions about proposals, the players hosting discussions would most likely take the initiative to ask their attitudes.

So, they absolutely couldn’t fall into the bottom three.

From the filtering results, Dai Yifan, Zhou Guifen, and Zheng Jie were indeed relatively marginalized figures in all of Community 17, and were the weaker ones who needed more care in games.

Li Renshu hurriedly said, ”The most urgent matter now is to determine the two voluntary participants.”

She looked at Fu Chen, who was eager to try, ”Don’t raise your hand to sign up yet.

”Although it’s a distribution-type game, there definitely won’t be another good situation like ’Blood Poker’ where we made pure profit in visa time. The state between players from different communities is most likely zero-sum.

”Just like ’Conglomerate Nation’, if you don’t play well, there’s still the risk of ’visa time being cleared to zero’.

”The reason we gained so much in ’Conglomerate Nation’ last time was mainly because the division of labor among the three teams was relatively scientific.

”This game is the same.

”Since three weaker players have already been forced to participate, then the remaining two players should be chosen from those with leadership ability as much as possible.

”Two leading three would be more secure.”

Zheng Jie subconsciously looked toward Lin Sizhi.

Obviously, when it came to leading a team, Lin Sizhi gave people the strongest sense of security.

Of course, considering Wang Yongxin’s excellent performance in the previous two distribution-type games, he was also a good choice.

And Wang Yongxin himself really wanted to participate. He urgently needed to earn a large amount of visa time now, whether for his own use or for donation, it was very necessary.

But before he could volunteer himself, Cai Zhiyuan spoke up first.

”My suggestion is that Yang Yuting and I participate as the voluntary players.”

Li Renshu didn’t give a direct response. After thinking for a moment, she said, ”Your reasoning?”

Cai Zhiyuan explained, ”We’ve already discussed this before. The community needs a new in-game leadership core.

”Yang Yuting, Fu Chen, and I all volunteered.

”As for whether we actually have the ability to lead a team, this depends on our performance in future games.

”There’s no more suitable game type than distribution-type games, since there are no death rules. Even if all visa time is deducted, we can still remedy the situation after returning to the community.

”We can’t be expected to lead teams directly in more dangerous filtering-type, elimination-type, or judgment-type games, right?

”Now is the best opportunity.”

Wang Yongxin frowned slightly. After considering for a moment, he said, ”But wouldn’t this be taking too much of a risk?

”One of you two could enter, and the other slot could be filled by me or Lawyer Lin.

”That would be more secure.”

After considering, Li Renshu shook her head, ”I agree with Cai Zhiyuan’s view.

”If you and Lawyer Lin enter the game, you’ll naturally take control. Could you really just watch them make mistakes without doing anything?

”Everyone has different problem-solving approaches. Once you intervene, how can Cai Zhiyuan’s or Yang Yuting’s leadership ability be demonstrated? It wouldn’t achieve the testing effect at all.

”Distribution-type games already have the lowest risk. In order to select a new game core, this is a risk we must take.”

Wang Yongxin couldn’t insist further and could only nod, ”Alright then, you two do your best. We’ll be waiting for news of your triumphant return.”

Fu Chen felt somewhat disappointed, ”Why was I excluded from the three by default?”

Li Renshu patted his shoulder, ”Next time.”

If Fu Chen also signed up, there might be a random selection of two from three, and in that case the result might be uncontrollable.

So they simply didn’t let him sign up.

[Voluntary participants: Cai Zhiyuan, Yang Yuting.]

The countdown ended, and the five selected people disappeared from the hall.
