God's Imitator

Zheng Jie was stunned, ”Huh? He thought of it too?”

Zhou Guifen didn’t quite understand, ”There’s a method for everyone to survive? But up until now, we still completely don’t know what exactly the criminals’ crimes are, right?”

Clearly, the four words ’full survival’ had tremendous appeal to the players.

Especially in such a cruel ’elimination-type game’ but after a moment of silence, Cao Haichuan shook his head, ”The method you’re thinking of, I’ve considered it too.

”Although from the game mechanism perspective, this method does indeed exist, but it’s too idealistic. I’m afraid it can’t be implemented.

”Of course, we can also go listen to what exactly Zhang Shichao has to say. Perhaps it’s different from what I thought before.”

Players from each community came to the venue, preparing to hear what exactly Zhang Shichao’s so-called ’full survival’ method was but their expressions were all different.

Zhang Shichao also didn’t keep them in suspense. After all, time was limited.

”My method is very simple. We just need to use the game mechanism!

”In this game, there are many death rules. If any player suffers instant death punishment twice, they will surely die.”So what we need to do is coordinate among field players to stagger these death punishment mechanisms, making everyone suffer instant death punishment only once as much as possible, then offset it with shelters.

”Specifically, it’s like this:

”We first select one community to be voted out during the ’final vote.’ Let’s call it the ’truth-telling community.’

”After that, every time a criminal’s crime is announced, this selected ’truth-telling community’ votes normally, while the other four communities all vote ’innocent,’ regardless of what they think inside.

”This way, the criminal will be judged innocent, and there won’t be ’joint implication’ situations.

”Before the game ends, players from the ’truth-telling community’ will by default all become ’perfect judges’ and won’t suffer instant death punishment due to lie detection.

”Other players, although they’ll all suffer instant death punishment once, can offset it through shelters.

”After that, during the ’final vote,’ we vote for the ’truth-telling community’ again.

”All members of the ’truth-telling community’ then use shelters to offset the instant death punishment.

”At the end of the game, all players will have suffered instant death punishment exactly once, all offset by shelters. No one will die, achieving the goal of full survival.”

Hearing this statement, joyful expressions appeared on some players’ faces.

From the game rules perspective, this was indeed feasible but many players were also unmoved.

Wang Weidong smiled indifferently, ”Yes, this is indeed a very perfect strategy. Now we just need to solve the last problem.

”This ’truth-telling community,’ who will be it?

”Since it was your Community 9 who proposed it, how about you be it?”

Zhang Shichao was stunned, then fell into deep thought.

Other communities also said nothing more.

Moments later, Zhang Shichao said somewhat dejectedly, ”Alright, pretend I didn’t say anything.”

Clearly, this strategy was indeed theoretically feasible, but its biggest problem was that it lacked sufficient binding force.

The ’truth-telling community’ voting according to true thoughts could ensure they wouldn’t be punished by the lie detection mechanism, but how could they ensure other communities all voted ’innocent’ for criminals against their conscience?

From other communities’ perspective, voting on criminals was actually a standard prisoner’s dilemma.

If everyone voted ’innocent,’ of course everyone would be happy.

But there would definitely be communities secretly voting ’guilty,’ because this way, they wouldn’t need to worry about being punished by the lie detection mechanism at all.

Although one instant death punishment could be offset by shelters, if they could avoid triggering instant death punishment, it was still better not to trigger it.

Under the current mechanism, players who secretly voted ’guilty’ wouldn’t be exposed.

Once a community secretly voted ’guilty,’ then communities that originally voted ’innocent’ would completely become clowns.

Because their numbers might not reach half, leading to the criminal being judged guilty, and then they might trigger ’joint implication’ due to actions in the game.

Once jointly implicated and suffering instant death once, then at the end of the game suffering instant death again due to the lie detection mechanism, death would be certain.

Any community that thought this through would tend to secretly vote ’guilty.’

In the end, the ’truth-telling community’ would become the community that lost the most.

Because criminal judgment and joint implication would still proceed normally. All communities would bear the same risks, but the ’truth-telling community’ would suffer an additional instant death punishment due to the final vote.

Heavy losses would be inevitable.

Zhang Shichao deflated. Clearly, this strategy fundamentally wouldn’t work.

Even if other communities verbally agreed, during the first vote they would definitely still vote ’guilty.’ They absolutely wouldn’t respond to his proposal.

Players scattered in great disappointment again.

Zhang Shichao was just preparing to return when Li Renshu called out to stop him.

”Wait a moment. I have a cooperation strategy I’d like to discuss with you and Community 7.”

Zhang Shichao nodded, ”Okay.”

The two slightly avoided the crowd and went to the area near the A1 nine-square grid to find Jin Cheng from Community 7.

The reason for choosing these two communities was of course also considered.

From the first phase of the game, Community 12 and Community 15 were both communities with relatively aggressive game strategies. Moreover, there had been conflicts with Community 12, and Wang Weidong from Community 15 didn’t seem like someone who would keep promises and cooperate to the end, so they weren’t suitable as cooperation partners.

Community 9 and Community 17 had a basis for cooperation and could more easily establish mutual trust.

Moreover, although Zhang Shichao’s previous proposal couldn’t be implemented, it could also reveal the entire Community 9’s preference for game strategy.

As for Community 7, although not well understood, from the first phase’s performance, this should be the weakest community in this game.

These five people should be a temporary team, fundamentally without a reliable core player, and without any strategy to speak of.

Jin Cheng as the apparent leader also clearly didn’t possess any special talents. Very likely she was forcibly pushed out.

Moreover, Community 7 had the fewest plots, was in the worst situation, and was more likely to be bought off by some small early favors.

During the final vote, as long as they obtained support from more than half the players, they could decide the voting result.

So Li Renshu finding only Community 9 wasn’t enough. She also needed to bring Community 7 in.

”Time is limited, so I won’t keep you in suspense.

”I hope to reach cooperation with you. In the ’final vote’ segment, vote together for Community 15 or Community 12.

”Which one specifically can be decided by you.”

Jin Cheng and Zhang Shichao looked at each other and each thought for a moment.

Then they nodded in agreement.

Jin Cheng said, ”I want to vote for Community 15.”

Zhang Shichao also agreed, ”Yes, then let’s vote for Community 15.”
