God's Imitator

After the plot auction ended, shelters could be freely traded.

Zhang Shichao, according to the previous agreement, bought a shelter with 12 gold coins.

This way, each of the five players from Community 9 could be allocated one shelter with 90% probability. They were temporarily safe.

Even if their players were ’jointly implicated’ in the next round, they wouldn’t face immediate death like Community 7.

After Zhang Shichao left, everyone from Community 17 gathered together again to discuss future strategies.

Zheng Jie sighed somewhat, ”Community 7 was really too unlucky.

”Jin Cheng clearly didn’t expect she’d be the first criminal to be announced.

”If she had thought of this in advance, she definitely would have competed with us for the D1 nine-square grid at any cost.”

Li Renshu shook her head, ”We absolutely wouldn’t have yielded. The first phase bidding, to put it bluntly, was a game of ’seeing who can’t bear to spend gold coins first.’

”Community 7 yielding had two reasons.”First, in the first 5 rounds, everyone was uncertain about the order plots would open. Jin Cheng mistakenly thought that after giving up the D1 nine-square grid, there would still be other opportunities to bid on land, so her bidding wasn’t decisive enough.

”Second, she believed her crime wouldn’t be announced as early as the sixth round.

”You could also say that both ’the order plots opened’ and ’the order crimes were announced’ completely deviated from her expectations, which led to this result.”

Fu Chen said thoughtfully, ”Does this mean we can confirm that ’the order criminals are announced’ is decided by audience voting?

”Because the behavior of ’selling inferior shelters to the audience’ would directly harm the audience’s interests.

”So they decided to first vote to push Jin Cheng out to face punishment, killing the chicken to warn the monkeys, warning field players not to play tricks.

”After all, the audience only needs to slightly adjust the order files are announced to punish a specific community or specific group of players.

”It’s still quite deterrent.”

Cao Haichuan shook his head, ”I’m afraid it’s not like that.

”If Jin Cheng’s crime hadn’t been judged, then when field players sold shelters, they might still hesitate.

”But since Jin Cheng’s crime has already been judged, from now on, everyone will only sell ’inferior shelters’ to the audience.”

Everyone was stunned, then suddenly realized.

Zheng Jie’s eyes widened, ”Because all crimes will only be punished once!

”Since Jin Cheng’s crime has already been announced, that also means that subsequent players, even if they sell inferior shelters to the audience, won’t receive any more punishment!”

Zhou Guifen still didn’t quite understand, ”But the shelter probabilities are different, right? A 90% probability shelter can protect 90% of the audience’s visa time, while a 50% shelter can only protect 50%.

”Setting normal shelter prices a bit higher, there will still be audience members who buy, right?”

Zheng Jie explained, ”It’s useless, because the audience fundamentally can’t distinguish which are normal shelters and which are inferior shelters!

”Normal shelters can be listed at high prices, and inferior shelters can also be listed at high prices.

”So for us field players, selling normal shelters has no meaning except to benefit the very few lucky individuals among the audience.”

Fu Chen thought for a moment, ”But there are only 30 audience members. If we sell normal shelters at normal prices, for every one we sell, we can ensure one audience member leaves safely. You can’t say it’s meaningless.

”This behavior surely can’t have any downsides, right?”

After a moment of silence, Cao Haichuan shook his head, ”Hard to say.”

Fu Chen was somewhat surprised, ”Surely selling shelters normally can’t also count as a crime? That would make absolutely no sense.”

Cao Haichuan didn’t give a clear explanation, only saying, ”The downsides might not only come from crimes.”

Li Renshu looked toward Community 7’s direction, ”Jin Cheng didn’t come to trade shelters with us. Their community has probably completely collapsed.

”I’ll go talk to her briefly, see if I can stabilize the cooperation.”

Cao Haichuan reminded, ”But be careful with your wording. If they’ve really completely given up hope, don’t force it. Avoid saying too much and making mistakes.”

Li Renshu nodded, ”Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.”

...

At the same time, Community 12.

Fan Zehui looked at the completed shelters, falling into thought.

He looked at Chen Guangming, ”Really going to list them all for sale to the audience? Not keeping any for ourselves?

”But what if in the next round, the announced criminal belongs to our community? Won’t we be dead for sure?”

Chen Guangming said decisively, ”After this round’s situation, I’ve completely confirmed that my ’winning strategy’ from the beginning was absolutely correct.

”So the criminal announced in the next round will absolutely not be from our community.

”We only need to do two things now.

”First, build all current plots into inferior shelters as much as possible, then sell them all.

”Second, use gold coins to bid on all remaining plots as much as possible, at any cost.”

Fan Zehui hesitated somewhat, ”But you don’t even know what the other crimes are. If we do this and get jointly implicated due to certain behaviors...”

Chen Guangming interrupted him, ”Fan Zehui, listen to me carefully.

”Why have you been losing since coming to the New World? Are you really much dumber than others? No, your biggest problem is underestimating others’ malice, and not having enough malice toward others!

”Why were you deceived in ’Conglomerate Nation’?

”Because from the start, you didn’t think of others in the worst possible way, so you lost half the game from the opening!

”You only know how to cling to the most superficial game rules, but have never thought about what the deeper meanings of these rules are!

”When you get a disadvantaged status, you can only leave things to fate. When you get an advantaged status, you look ahead and behind.

”Then when exactly can you win?

”Tell me, when exactly can you win?

”We already agreed before to listen to me completely, and now we’ve successfully obtained ’privileged community.’

”I can tell you very clearly, now we have absolutely no way back. This is our only choice!

”This game has already become a game of ’extracting more gold coins from the audience.’ Any community must follow this game rule, especially us as the ’privileged community’!

”If we don’t do this, we’ll die without a burial place!

”Moreover, didn’t I also not keep any shelters for myself? I’m not afraid of death, so what are you afraid of?”

Fan Zehui’s expression gradually became resolute, ”...You’re right. Then we’ll sell them all.

”For how much?”

Chen Guangming already had an answer, ”16 gold coins.”

Fan Zehui was stunned, ”That much? But we’re selling all inferior shelters.

”When announcing criminals, the rules mentioned that if selling inferior shelters at 15 gold coins, it would be considered a crime. This indicates this price is on the high side!”

Chen Guangming shook his head, ”Not high, not high at all.

”This round, we’re eager to recoup funds, so we’re selling at 16 gold coins. Next round won’t be this price.

”Before the game ends, even inferior shelters will definitely reach 20 gold coins, or even more.

”Still don’t understand? Jin Cheng’s crime being announced first means a clear signal: selling inferior shelters at high prices will become an absolutely safe behavior!”
