God's Imitator

The next morning.

The players gathered in the hall again for a meeting.

Clearly, after Li Renshu chatted with Lin Sizhi last night, she had also communicated with other people who should be informed, so at this moment she directly presented the proposal.

”Today’s meeting is because there’s still a relatively important issue that needs to be resolved: recruiting new members.

”During this time, I’ve also privately exchanged views with some players, and I’ve tried to consider things as comprehensively as possible, especially Lawyer Lin’s viewpoint.

”So I’ll just give the result directly:

”Currently there are two recruitment methods. One is the traditional method, which is screening from new players through community rules. The other is the recruiting method.

”Both methods have their respective problems. The former has a cooldown time, while the latter can’t ensure we’ll happen to encounter people worth recruiting every time we enter a game.

”And our primary goal is to maintain the community at full capacity as much as possible at all times.

”So we should try to utilize both recruitment methods as much as possible. This time we’ll directly adopt the traditional method to recruit. If the traditional method is on cooldown, then we’ll recruit people from games.”There are two specific issues.

”First is what profession we should recruit.

”Currently, the calls for ’police’ and ’military’ are relatively high.

”Second is the issue of recruiting authority.

”Recruiting requires entering the corresponding game, but Lawyer Lin can’t possibly enter every game. That burden would be too heavy. Moreover, many games directionally screen for the weak and don’t have voluntary participation slots, like ’Shelter Game’.

”So Lawyer Lin believes we should reselect a team-leading core for games, ensuring the game cores within the community still maintain 3 people.

”And have each game core obtain the power to recruit.

”So today we’re mainly voting on these two matters.

”First is determining the new player’s profession.

”Second is determining the preliminary screening list for game cores.

”My thinking is that players who want to become game cores should voluntarily sign up first. We’ll comprehensively consider performance over the ’next three games’ and determine the new game core through voting from among these signed-up players.

”What does everyone think?”

Everyone looked at each other, then nodded one after another, ”That works.”

No one raised objections.

Li Renshu continued, ”Alright, then let’s vote on the first item first, whether it should be ’military’ or ’police’.

”As for the other two factors, gender and age, I don’t think there are other choices. It can only be ’young male’.

”As for whether it’s ’military’ or ’police’, I think the difference isn’t large.

”If it’s a criminal investigator like Officer Cao with rich case-solving experience and strong problem-solving ability in games, that would naturally be the best situation, but I think this possibility is very low.

”We also need to consider crimes that might be judged in ’judgment games’.

”After all, a crime like Officer Cao’s should be an extreme special case, an extremely fortunate situation. If there are worse crimes, it could also bring trouble to our community.

”Should we first have a simple show of hands vote, or vote directly?”

Cai Zhiyuan said, ”Let’s do an anonymous vote within the community directly. If we show hands, some people might be embarrassed to speak their true inner thoughts.”

Li Renshu nodded. She went to the Community Management Office to submit the proposal. Soon, the corresponding information appeared on the large screen.

The others also went to the management office to vote one after another.

Soon, the results came out.

[Proposal 1: New recruit candidate, young male military personnel.]

[In favor: 6 votes]

[Against: 5 votes]

[Proposal 2: New recruit candidate, young male police officer.]

[In favor: 5 votes]

[Against: 6 votes]

[New recruit candidate, young male police officer vote did not pass.]

[New recruit candidate, young male military personnel vote passed. The community will screen within a certain range according to this requirement and bring in a new player relatively meeting the result.]

Clearly, this voting result was closer than any previous vote.

But according to the rules within the community, as long as more than half the players agreed, the proposal could pass, so in a situation where there were only 11 people in the community, 6 votes were already sufficient.

From a voting principles perspective, this vote couldn’t be considered successful.

Because the vote counts were too close.

It would be best to further distinguish the numbers between the two options as much as possible through a second vote or adjusting voting details.

But once a recruitment proposal was submitted, the community was already searching for the corresponding candidate and couldn’t be changed.

Li Renshu consoled them, ”Everyone needn’t dwell too much on this result, because between the military and police options, there’s no absolute right or wrong either.

”I think perhaps some players didn’t want the new member to become Officer Cao’s shadow or replacement, so they chose a different profession.

”The military profession will also have unique advantages.

”In any case, let’s patiently wait for the new member to join!

”Next is the voluntary sign-up phase for ’game core’.

”Currently within our community, the default game cores are Lawyer Lin and Brother Wang, so we still need one more team-leading core.

”Those confident in themselves can sign up.

”But signing up also means trying to sign up and participate in games that will open in the future as much as possible.

”We’ll comprehensively consider performance over the next three games to determine the new team-leading core.

”Of course, if the signed-up players all perform poorly in subsequent games and can’t satisfy other players, then we won’t establish a new game core yet and can only take a long-term view.”

Fu Chen was the first to raise his hand, ”Then I’ll sign up first!”

He realized everyone was looking at him with somewhat strange expressions, and immediately explained, ”You don’t need to think I definitely can’t do it, right? I can work hard! At least I hope to make contributions for everyone.”

Li Renshu nodded, ”Mm, to become a team-leading core, breakthrough ability is naturally indispensable, but the courage to take on responsibility is also a necessary quality.

”Just like Community 12. They chose Chen Guangming as their team-leading core, but Chen Guangming turned around and sold them all out for gold coins.

”People like that, no matter how capable, can’t be trusted.

”I hope everyone can actively and enthusiastically sign up, because team-leading core not only represents rights, but also represents responsibility.”

Yang Yuting also raised her hand, ”I’d also like to try. If possible, I’ll take Lawyer Lin, Brother Wang, and Officer Cao as examples and help everyone earn more visa time in games.”

After thinking for a moment, Cai Zhiyuan also raised his hand, ”I’ll sign up too.”

Wei Yinzhang fell into thought. However, she ultimately didn’t raise her hand, instead saying, ”I won’t sign up for now.

”As I said before, my breakthrough ability in games is very weak, so I don’t think I can shoulder this heavy responsibility.

”However, if the community really can’t find suitable candidates, I can also reluctantly temporarily share this duty.”

Li Renshu nodded, ”Mm, my thinking is similar.

”Alright, then all players who signed up, please prepare well. I hope you can have outstanding performance in the upcoming games!”
