God's Imitator

This was an expected result.

Because at this time the first batch of shelters had just been completed, even if there were ’inferior shelters’ among them, they hadn’t been sold yet, so naturally there wouldn’t be so many players committing similar crimes.

In the end, only players from Community 7 could be ’jointly implicated.’

That player who wasn’t allocated a shelter fell straight down in despair, motionless.

Before long, his body disappeared, leaving only a shattered bracelet and some gold coins originally carried on him, falling to the ground.

At the same time, in the A4 nine-square grid, the 4 plots with completed shelters belonging to Community 7 emitted dazzling light.

With a ”crack,” the signs on these 4 plots all shattered. The LED strips that had turned green after shelters were built also went out.

This meant that the shelters on these 4 plots were destroyed, completely abandoned.

The other 4 players from Community 7 survived the disaster. Only now did they react, immediately running to where that player’s body had disappeared to pick up his dropped bracelet and gold coins.

According to game rules, before players from a certain community were completely dead, players from other communities snatching gold coins counted as a violation, so players from Community 15 wouldn’t take them either.Jin Cheng collapsed powerlessly to the side, her mind completely blank.

She had thought of some strategies before, but all strategies were built on the premise ’won’t be the first criminal to be judged.’

And now, this premise didn’t hold.

So all of Jin Cheng’s thoughts, all strategies were completely overturned. This despair and suffocation directly defeated her.

But Jin Cheng couldn’t figure out no matter what, why she was the first criminal to be judged.

Could the order of announcing these files be completely random?

...

No one came to care about Community 7. This was an elimination-type game. All communities had to prioritize considering themselves.

On the big screen, a new round of plot auction began.

[The developable plot in this round is: A1 nine-square grid.]

[Community 7 has already selected this nine-square grid as their ’priority development area,’ therefore they will automatically obtain the ’1st Developer’ status.]

[Community 12 and Community 15 can obtain the ’2nd Developer’ status through bidding.]

[Bidding starts now. Time limit: 3 minutes.]

The opening of this plot was full of irony.

If this plot had opened even one round earlier, Community 7 would inevitably have obtained 5 plots and built enough shelters, avoiding such serious consequences of deaths.

And at this time, even for the 4 surviving players, their only chance to avoid death had already been consumed. Obtaining more plots and shelters no longer had any meaning.

Of course, they could also choose to sell shelters in exchange for gold coins.

Jin Cheng watched Community 12 and Community 15 bid in a daze.

This bidding result was quite simple and brutal. Community 12 directly opened with a high price of 30 gold coins from the start.

Although from the previous situation, each community’s expected price for plots was 30 to 40 gold coins, directly throwing out so many gold coins right from the start was still extremely rare.

What if the opponent directly forfeited?

But Fan Zehui didn’t seem to have considered this question. He had a gloomy face, seemingly determined to win.

Wang Weidong carefully observed Fan Zehui’s expression, then he looked past Fan Zehui to see Chen Guangming, who hadn’t come to participate in bidding.

After thinking, Wang Weidong chose to raise it to 36 gold coins.

Other players were also watching from a distance the bidding changes displayed on the big screen.

Zheng Jie said to others from Community 17, ”Hm? Is Wang Weidong trying to directly dissuade the opponent? Community 12 should only have 35 gold coins left now.

”When the last round ended, Community 12 should have only had 60 gold coins left. To ensure their own safety, they still need to build 5 normal shelters, which would cost another 25 gold coins.

”So they should only have 35 gold coins left.”

However, just as Zheng Jie finished speaking, Fan Zehui raised it to 40 gold coins again.

Wang Weidong looked at Fan Zehui thoughtfully, ultimately choosing to raise it to 41 gold coins.

Fan Zehui chose to forfeit. After paying the 5 gold coin handling fee, he took away the remaining 35 gold coins.

However, he wasn’t too disappointed, seeming to have already anticipated such a result.

Although Wang Weidong successfully bid on the plot, he didn’t have much of a happy expression. While frowning in thought, he divided the plots of the A1 nine-square grid with Jin Cheng from Community 7.

In the end, Community 7 obtained 5 plots, and Community 15 obtained 4 plots.

Zheng Jie was somewhat surprised, ”Huh? That’s not right. How does Fan Zehui have 5 extra gold coins? Where did they come from? Was there a private transaction? But we haven’t reached the free trading segment yet?”

Cao Haichuan shook his head, ”This indicates what they built weren’t normal shelters, but inferior shelters.

”And they built a total of 10.

”For communities with more plots, this strategy can be adopted. It’s actually more cost-effective than regular shelters.

”Fan Zehui’s thinking should be like this:

”First offer 30 gold coins. If Wang Weidong doesn’t follow, then take the ’2nd Developer’ of this plot with 30 gold coins.

”If Wang Weidong follows, then drive up the price as much as possible, making Community 15 obtain the plot at higher cost.”

Only now did Zheng Jie have a sudden realization.

Clearly, because Community 12 had many plots, they actually had two different choices:

Either build 5 normal shelters with 90% probability, or build 10 inferior shelters with 50% probability.

Although inferior shelters had low probability, if each person was allocated two, it was also relatively safe.

Most critically, the former required spending 25 gold coins, while the latter only required 20 gold coins, saving 5 gold coins.

Fu Chen sighed, ”To save 5 gold coins, they really are calculating carefully.”

Zhou Guifen reminded, ”5 gold coins isn’t little. That’s 25% of a player’s total visa time.”

Cao Haichuan shook his head, ”No, it’s not just to save 5 gold coins.

”Doing this also has another benefit: they can sell large quantities of shelters at the fastest speed to recoup funds.”

Zheng Jie didn’t quite understand, ”Why?

”Our community’s 5 normal shelters can’t be sold. Their 10 inferior shelters also can’t be sold, right? Isn’t this the same?”

Cao Haichuan didn’t immediately answer, only saying, ”Currently it can’t be confirmed, but what Community 12 is adopting is very likely a more risky and aggressive strategy.”

Li Renshu said thoughtfully, ”I originally thought Community 12 and Community 15 should naturally form an alliance, but from this round’s price driving situation, it seems such a situation hasn’t occurred.

”Why? Don’t they worry about the ’final vote’ at all?

”Or are they considering other strategies?”

Just then, Zhang Shichao from Community 9 walked over here, probably to purchase shelters according to the previous agreement.

Everyone temporarily stopped their discussion.
