God's Imitator

The latest transaction price for shelters displayed on the big screen was 16 gold coins. This meant that at this time, there fundamentally weren’t any listed shelters below 16 gold coins.

If there were, the lower-priced shelters would inevitably sell first.

Clearly, most field players had already reached a consensus. It was impossible to sell these shelters cheap.

Of course, the situation was still unclear at this time. The possibility of some communities engaging in vicious competition and dumping couldn’t be completely ruled out.

If they dumped against each other, shelter transaction prices might also decrease.

It would depend on which side, the audience or field players, could hold their composure better.

...

At the same time, Li Renshu once again found Zhang Shichao from Community 9.

Community 17 internally had already made corresponding divisions of labor and arrangements. Cao Haichuan was most likely the criminal in the game, so he would do as little as possible and only be responsible for formulating strategies and assigning them to other players.

As for other players, each person was also only responsible for one thing. The matter of communicating with other communities naturally all fell on Li Renshu’s shoulders.

This was safer.

On one hand, it could reduce the number of people committing similar crimes. As long as it didn’t reach 5 people, only players from the criminal’s community would be jointly implicated. On the other hand, even if jointly implicated, only Li Renshu alone would be implicated. Others wouldn’t be affected.

Other behaviors followed the same principle.

Seeing Li Renshu walk over, Zhang Shichao asked, ”Shelters have already sold at a price of 16 gold coins. What are your plans?”

Li Renshu answered truthfully, ”We’ll still sell normal shelters at normal prices, but we might wait until close to the end of the game.”

Zhang Shichao was stunned, ”Why? Doing this has no benefits for you.”

Li Renshu sighed, ”But it also doesn’t have too many downsides.

”Even if selling shelters at high prices, the only difference is just earning some more gold coins.

”For most people in our community, maintaining their values is more important than earning some more gold coins.

”Of course, this only represents our community’s situation. How you want to sell is your community’s freedom.”

Zhang Shichao nodded and said nothing more.

Li Renshu continued, ”I came for serious business.

”You said before that your community’s crime might be ’spreading statements’ or ’inciting and instigating,’ right?”

Zhang Shichao nodded, ”Yes, what about it?”

Li Renshu asked, ”Then are you still waiting here, doing nothing?”

Zhang Shichao was stunned, ”What do you mean? Why?

”Actively committing such behavior, won’t we be jointly implicated? Isn’t that seeking death?”

Clearly, among the five field communities at this time, the worst level was Jin Cheng’s Community 7, and the second worst was Zhang Shichao’s Community 9.

Even though Li Renshu had already said this much, they still didn’t quite understand.

Li Renshu sighed silently. This point was actually first thought of by Cao Haichuan. However, after Cao Haichuan briefly mentioned it, she also immediately realized it.

As a result, Zhang Shichao, as the person involved, still didn’t quite understand even now.

Li Renshu lowered her voice and said, ”Right now, you should select 3 players and try to commit similar crimes.”

...

The two players from Community 15 had already returned.

Feng Bo went to Community 7, while another player went to Community 12.

Wang Weidong originally planned to only send Feng Bo alone. This way could reduce risks.

But there was no choice, because this round’s time was limited and the venue was quite large. Wang Weidong couldn’t be certain how long Feng Bo would need to persuade Community 7, so time might very likely not be enough.

He could only send an additional player to Community 12.

The purpose was simple: to secure as many communities as possible in order to sell shelters at relatively high prices, maximizing the interests of all field players.

Because any community selling shelters at lower prices might affect the profits of all field players.

Wang Weidong looked at them, ”How was it? What are these communities’ attitudes?”

Feng Bo first said, ”Community 7 should be no problem. They’ll definitely sell at high prices as much as possible.”

Another player also said, ”Community 12 also agreed. They should also sell at high prices.”

Wang Weidong was indifferent, ”Hmm, got it.”

Feng Bo asked somewhat puzzled, ”Why didn’t you also ask Community 9 and Community 17?”

Wang Weidong chuckled, ”Of course there’s a reason.

”Community 17 seems to have made up their mind not to adopt any strategies, avoiding all behaviors that might be jointly implicated as much as possible.

”So no need to ask. They definitely won’t cooperate with us to drive up prices.

”But this also doesn’t matter, because if they don’t drive up prices, they won’t have many gold coins. Afterward, they also can’t bid on many plots. It won’t be enough to disrupt the market.

”As for Community 9... the reason is more complicated.

”Simply put, I suspect their crime is very likely related to language strategies.”

Feng Bo was even more puzzled, ”What? If this really counts as a crime, haven’t I also committed a similar crime?

”Why would we actively do this kind of thing? Even if we had to do it, Community 12 should be the ones doing it.

”Moreover, Community 9, Community 12, and Community 17 haven’t had any actions. Even if this crime really exists, what makes you certain it must be in Community 9?”

Wang Weidong shook his head and explained, ”Having everyone drive up prices together, this matter can only be done by us.

”Because Community 12 has the most plots and shelters, so they also hold the greatest initiative. Raising or lowering prices, they’re freer than us.

”Chen Guangming should be a smart person. It’s impossible he wouldn’t think of this.

”If Community 7 sold shelters at low prices, we’d suffer the greatest loss, so we can only persuade them ourselves.

”The reason I suspect this crime belongs to Community 9 is because compared to Community 12 and Community 17, they’re clearly more passive in language strategies.

”But you also don’t need to worry. Since I had you do this, it’s very likely safe.

”Because of the numbers issue.”

Wang Weidong paused slightly and continued explaining, ”Whether you’ll be jointly implicated after committing similar crimes depends on the number of people who committed similar crimes.

”Right now, only you 2 people in the entire field have committed this behavior, far from reaching 5 people. So even if the crime triggers, it’s the criminal’s community that gets jointly implicated. You’re safe.”

Feng Bo nodded in realization, ”I see.”

Wang Weidong added, ”Moreover, this is the only risky behavior we need to do.

”As long as we confirm everyone will sell shelters at high prices, we’ll sell all our shelters and stop competing with Community 12 for bids.

”Ensure maximum profits, then take the money and leave.”

Feng Bo asked again, ”But what about the ’final vote’?”

Wang Weidong smiled and didn’t answer directly, ”Heh, don’t worry. There are always more despicable people than noble people. Despicable alliances are also always more stable than noble alliances.”
