ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

It was then that Emul jumped up and escaped onto my back with incredible speed and climbed all the way up on top of my head, but to his usual spot. Needless to say, I did not try to stop him from doing that, and even welcomed the familiar heaviness on top of my head with a soft smile. I then turned towards Doctor Andrew with visible pity in my eyes. Honestly, I don’t think that this guy is stupid or anything like that, but he certainly seems to be lacking some social skills that are much needed in pushing certain ideas through in face of opposition. And without that social skills, I am afraid that his idea of all of humanity worshipping idols is never actually going to come true. But that’s not really my problem, so I’ll just leave this guy to be overcome by despair once the time comes.

「…… HMPH, INCIDENTALLY, SANRAKU. YOU KEEP SAYING ORCHESTRA THIS, ORCHESTRA THAT, BUT AS FAR AS I CAN UNDERSTAND FROM ALL THE INFORMATION THAT I WAS ABLE TO GATHER, IT WOULD SEEM THAT FOR SOME REASON THE MUSIC PLAYER THAT WAS ONCE IN MY POSSESSION HAS TURNED INTO SOME SORT OF A SUPER DIFFICULT ENEMY FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE…… AM I CORRECT IN WHAT I JUST SAID?」

「Hmm? Well, yeah, that’s about right. Oh, and by the way, your aunt appears as a ghost in this fight for some reason or whatever.」

「WELL, YOU SEE, THAT IS ACTUALLY THE PART THAT I DO NOT QUITE UNDERSTAND. I MEAN, BECAUSE SUCH A THING IS BASICALLY……」

「Ahh, that’s right. I think that I understand what you are trying to get at in here…… I’m actually going to verify it soon enough, so I’ll come to tell you the answer when I understand everything. If I manage to understand anything, that is.」

「I WONDER…… WHY DO I FIND THE CONCEPT OF GETTING EDUCATED BY THE MEMBER OF A CIVILIZATION THAT IS YET TO EVEN VENTURE TOWARDS THE STARS SO AMUSING IN THE FIRST PLACE?」

「Oh yeah. There is one other thing I think that I need to know.」

「WHAT? THERE IS STILL MORE?」

「Yeah, there is. In particular, I have no idea just how you managed to lose that music player in the first place, Doc.」

「………???」

「Doctor Andrew, how about we try asking “Ivory” about that, huh?」

Yes, if we are not going to do that, we are probably going to regret it much later on. So let’s just do it.

…

………

……………

「Hey there and good evening! Can you imagine that!? I was just about to hit the sack for the day, but then I was suddenly bombarded by messages and calls saying that I should log into ShanFro pronto!」

What was waiting for me at the doorstep of the Conquest Dolls HQ was none other than Mirei-san, the player who cleared the Orchestra battle before I managed to do it. And the members of the “Library” also happened to be there, all ready for action. On a side note, even though it was 3 am at the current moment, the number of “Library” players was surprisingly big here. I think that most of the guys here is present just because something is happening and are unrelated to the thing we are about to do, but whatever, I guess. No use in being overly touchy or sentimental here. If the Orchestra wants to change the facial expressions that each individual shows, it doesn’t matter what the other person is, as long as I am going to be the one who is going to have the last laugh here.

「Well, a Full Dive is just like a regular sleep, or something really close to it, so you should be fine, really.」

「Even though my brain is going to be working at its full capacity all the time?」

Well, I can’t say anything for sure here, but I guess that every gamer should be ready for a night of sleep depravation every now and then, don’t you think? It’s something that should be in our blood. But even if you were to overload your brain, for a cause as just as this one, I guess it would be something worth sacrificing.

「By the way, do you perhaps want advice from the one who cleared the Orchestra first? You see, I’ve collected a lot of information, but I am willing to part with it for some other information? How about a bargain?? Come on, it’s practically a steal at this point!」

「……………」

「Hm? What’s wrong?」

「If you are willing to share, then I would gracefully accept, but let me warn you here: I would like you to tell me what you know, but only main points, without any sugarcoating or roundabout ways. When it comes to information sharing, honesty is pretty much a rudimentary thing, Mirei-san.」

「Ugh.」

Could it be that you managed to obtain some information from Bansai—san? Mirei-san……You seem to be an enthusiastic Sherlock Holmes when it comes to information gathering, so it would only make sense to speak in a roundabout way. There is no use for moldy sentimentalism, but that is why regrettable feelings are carefully stored as fuel for the heart to act upon in times of crisis.

「How about teaching me some Baritsu in your spare time, Baritsu…… How about that, Miss Great Detective?」

「Fuguh!」

「Well, I mean, we can always do this some other time, don’t you think? Also, I am pretty sure that she doesn’t actually know Baritsu. She recklessly tried it once on Luukan and it went just as well as you might have expected it…… It didn’t.」

「Hoo? Now I’m actually curious about that particular story.」

I don’t feel like I can see the punch line with someone actually trying to use a martial arts like that on a Unique Monster such as Nightprowler Luukan, but it seems to be good as a seed for talking.

「Not you too, Professor…… Could you please cut me some slack here? That’s actually a huge Black History for me I would rather forget if I could help it……」

Well, putting such pointless chatter aside. There seems to be a good reason why a large amount of “Llibrary” players gathered here now…… And while I am busy looking around the gathering, the magical girl with a low voice points to me and tells me:

「Well then, I was able to get the cooperation of Sanraku-kun here, whose Orchestra canonical route has been confirmed. Now, how can we possibly record the battle with the Orchestra…… It’s time, let’s hear everyone’s opinions quickly!」
