ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

Now let’s use some reverse rotation thanks to the multiple Orbital Movements! It’s overall radius should be about six meters now, and a large circumference that leaned at forty five degrees obliquely from the ground right in front of Sigma……!!

At the current moment I feel just like Pluto orbiting on the verge of the known solar system. At the current moment I used my skills to make me into a kind of a humanoid Pile Bunker and then I pulled right in front of Sigma, so that the “Golden Age” would be positioned just in the way I wanted it to be. Then, I watch as the “Golden Age” gets ready to attack, swinging its Holy Sword and sending it right towards Sigma just like I predicted it would do……

「Master!!」

「Pay that no mind! Just focus on the tail! Make sure to make it count!」

Let’s use the Collateral Damage cut and see how this thing is going to turn out! This damage cut effect should be enough to make me able to survive this incoming attack and make sure that Sigma will emerge from it largely unscathed as well. That is, assuming that the current “holy Sword” is not something that essentially can ignore all my defenses.

However, at that time I also happened to underestimate the way in which Maxwell’s skills detect incoming attacks. I was supposed to defend against the incoming attack head on, but my body was forced into an evasive movement, which ultimately resulted in my left arm taking the slash attack head on and breaking to pieces. Therefore, my left arm was now no more from the elbow and below that, and the only thing I had to defend myself was my right arm which was totally fine.

But you can be sure that this was not the end of that attack. The tail of the Golden Age was not satisfied with a mere destruction of one part of my body. In a sense, it was just like a gamer: it sensed that there was an opening, and it wanted to use that opening to its fullest!

「…… Understood: Injection!!」

THWACK!!! The impact of the shock wave roars all over the place, and the shockwave was so strong that it managed to push the tip of the “Holy Sword” from its intended trajectory, causing it to miss its mark entirely. The golden sword was then stuck in the ground, driving into it and creating a long and deep crevice, and at the same time Sigma managed to smash a giant Pile Bunker right in the middle of the Golden Age’s belly.

But it was still intact. The Holy Sword was not destroyed, but at the same time there were cracks that started to form alongside its surface, so it was certainly not something Invincible ––––––it was not destroyed with a blow, but it is certainly in the “Sacred Sword” that seemed to be invincible-

「We managed to make a crack in it! So keep it up! What else can you do with those powerful arms of yours?」

「Apologies: Class Eight Armaments are the type of rental weapons that operate under the assumption that their use is going to be one-time only. And once you made that use, you need to pass forward another application…… But it will take about fifteen minutes for one user to be able to re-apply for usage again.」

「So what, this weapon is extremely powerful but you can only fire it four times within the hour!? We don’t really have the luxury of being able to wait for so long! But seeing that we have no other choice, we’ll just have to grit our teeth and do it!」

「Word of caution: however, the Master’s left arm is now put out of commission. Prolonging any form of combat activities is highly ill-advised.」

「Sigma, don’t be stupid! Do you even hear what you are saying here!?When it comes to fighting, sure, it’s nice to have more swords in your arms! It makes you stronger! But you don’t really need that if you get down to it! There are still other ways in which you can act! Like kicking! Or biting! So what I lost one arm!? It’s not going to weaken me in the slightest here!!」

「…… Understood: I get it now that this sort of behavior is so like Master. So as long as you are able to stand in the end, even if your body if broken down all over you are still going to consider this a win. If I’m aiming for a victory, I try to aim for a victory with best possible results out there!」

Okay, it’s time to change the equipment. At this rate the Sunny Weather cannot be used much more, and since my left arm is busted like that, two-handed weapons are out of the question. So what should I do now? Sigma can easily hold out on her own, being able to release a super-powerful attack every fifteen minutes. So I need something equally as powerful, but what can be used with one hand.

There is always Aradval Rebuild that is available to use. I have been using it mainly with my right hand so far, and I even used it once or twice to deflect those pesky “Holy Sword” attacks and it proved to be quite good at doing just that. Now, I have no idea if it is a calm judgement on my part or maybe something that is completely emotional, but will I really be able to get a read on its attacks and react accordingly in a split of a second if need be? Oho? Why is this tail starting to shake and tremble so much all of a sudden…… Is that light accumulating at the very tip of the Holy Sword!? Flashback! From that place! A remote attack!

「Kuh!!」

I open my right hand holding onto Aradval Rebuild and let it go from my hand, freeing it and making it possible for the system to perceive myself as weaponless at the current moment. I then equip the Voban Gargantua Tower Shield in a hurry to protect myself against the incoming slash attack!

The huge shield is deployed at the last possible moment and it manages to block the attack that was coming at it from the front at full speed and force…… It’s really good that I thought I might need it and stored in my inventory just to be on the safe side! At the same time, the ground around Aradval is slowly getting melted because of the heat waves it emits, so I can’t really keep this up no matter how long!

「Sigma! WE are going to return to the original tactics now! Focus on support fire from the distance!」

「Suggestion: shouldn’t I be in the avant-garde for the time being? Give Master time to recover and heal?」

「Oh, you don’t need to worry about that too much! I was always planning to die during this battle, so that’s that!」

「………….」

Now then, whatever am I going to do here? Can I still earn aggro as effectively as before, but with one hand?
