ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「Long. Way too long. Can’t you make it shorter? Oh, but let it be short, but in such a way that I can still understand what’s going on.」

「The INVENTORY’S main body is about to be rebuilt. To be precise, the process started the moment the responding system was activated. However, during that time, the INVENTORY’s main body actually ceases to exist for a short duration of time. Noting can be transferred into the storage area and nothing can be taken out of it. Because, Master, at the current moment that space is actually non-existent.」

「Fumuh……」

Slowly, very slowly the behavior of the surrounding Crystal Scorpions began to change. They were drawing closer and closer on us, making the previously wide ring smaller and smaller with every passing moment. I knew it, so it was supposed to be a Death Trap, and a pretty clever one at that, huh? At this rate getting out of it might actually turn out to be pretty gosh darn difficult…… Or maybe there is a way for us to break through? Hmm, but even if there was one, I surely can’t see it at the current moment……

However, even if I was able to escape from here, then what about Sigma? I might wake up at that Mobile Save Point that I crafted or back at the inn, but Sigma surely cannot use such a convenient mechanic since she is the NPC. So she would just be torn to shreds and that would be it.

Oh well, it doesn’t really matter all that much, because the answer to that question is already in the palm of my hand. After that, the rest is just knowing what needs to be done what and what you must absolutely avoid…… Yes, that’s basically it here.

「The only thing that we can do right now is to believe that its value going to be high enough that it actually validates the effort we had to put in order to obtain it.」

「–––––– Master, this is……」

「Hey, don’t worry about it. It’s actually impossible to overdo it here, since this frame was Extraordinary to begin with.」

Does that mean that I won’t be able to do INVENTORY transfers from my left arm once the INVENTORY disappears? But I guess that as long as I am going to be able to put my items in there and take them out, there is not going to be any problem with that. So I just remove that thing from the accessory slot and leave the frame opened, and then I placed the new accessory in that exact free slot.

…… Yes, if I were to put my thoughts on it, I would definitely call it the second INVENTORY or something like that……

「Wearing those things at both of my arms…… Seriously now. It’s during times like those that I do not know if I should be laughing or crying?」

It’s like holding two infinities in your hands. But doesn’t that mean that I actually managed to surpass the Infinity itself? While I was taking a closer look at my wrist just like that, I could finally feel that there was some sort of a change starting to happen in my immediate surroundings.

I’m sorry, My Brothers. I’m afraid that there is nothing left of His Majesty right now, but don’t worry! I’ll make sure that his core and remains are going to serve a just and might purpose while making me even more powerful than I am now! But it was at that exact moment that I have seen some sort of a shadow in the sky, and for some weird reason that shadow was starting to descend towards my location at a rapid pace.

「Hey, what’s wrong, Sigma? Please don’t tell me that you actually cannot evacuate to the INVENTORY? That would be really bad, you know……?」

「…… No, it’s not that. It’s just that, I wanted to see what would happen if I equipped this thing right here…..」

「Shut up, you piece of scrap! If you don’t want to regret you own stupidity later, you’d better evacuate inside of the INVENTORY right this instant! You should really learn what’s good for you!」

「…… Understood: I am really grateful for everything that you did today for me, Master. I really am.」

Yeah, it’s really great that she is feeling that way, but there is actually no need to thank me for anything here…… I mean, it would be bad to see an NPC being all depressed and in the dumps all the time like that, so I guess that improving the mood of one’s subjects is the duty of a good Contractor as well. At least that’s what I’m thinking, and those are my honest thoughts right here.

「Alright then, I’m sorry for making you all wait like that, my Brothers.」

Ohh, ooh, no, no no no no no! Am I going to get flattened here? I really am going to get flattened here, aren’t I? Could it be that this is going to be what getting pressed flat against the ground by a sumo wrestler feels like? Now, what kind of a feeling is that going to be, exactly? Am I going to suffer? Or maybe it will be quick and painless? But whatever the case in here, it sure is scary beyond all doubt!

However, if I try to make even the slightest of moves around here, I can already hear the Crystal Scorpion Flock becoming all restless and agitated, ready to crawl my way…… So in the end, whatever should I do here? How am I going to go home? I get a feeling that last time I was around these parts it was not even a matter of asking myself a question like that. But how I managed to do it the last time I was here?

The answer to that question was actually pretty simple and straightforward.

「But let me actually warn you here…… It is the cornered beast that turns out to be the most dangerous of them all out there……!!」

Fuahahaha!!! Let me show you how it’s done!!! The power of this Extraordinary Skill “Golden Age”, the one that I happened to receive after defeating the King of all you sorry Crystal Scorpion lot!!! Now brace yourselves for the beat-down of your lives!!!

And seeing just how the monster that was this skill’s namesake happened to use that Holy Sword and fire off those laser attacks, you can bet your sweet ass that this is going to be some sick Extra Special Attack Skill for sure! Now, off to see what it actually does!!

· Golden Age

The effect of this skill is triggered upon activation and corresponds to the number of units participating in battle. Upon activation, the battle status of every unit taking part in the battle is going to be increased, and this effect is going to be stronger the more Players, monsters and NPCs are present on the field.

Ah, so…… It’s a skill that actually works like a party-wide buff, huh? Whoa there, wait just a minute, Brother. Could it be that this skill is actually going to be way more useful than it may initially seem? The ones that are really difficult to use but the payoff is so great and sweet? …… Huh? No? Oh well……
