ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「Similarity, silhouettes, and then finally the Sternbloom itself, even though it might not already exist…… that is the basis for the Plan C, that is the original mission of the Conquest Dolls.」

「Oh, ooohhh…… IIs that so……?」

If it wasn’t for the fact that it was being explained to us in detail, I would have probably never even guessed that.

For example…… Yes, despairing over humanity’s malice and pointless cruelty, and therefore deciding that humanity needs to be destroyed. That would have been something that would have fit the setting here even better, and it was something that most of the players would have anticipated. Mourning the destructive nature of humanity and arriving at a conclusion that destruction is the only solution to the problem at hand…… It would have been a really nice dualism to exhibit, as well as a simple desire for control and resolution…… Those are things that characters such as this Doctor here would have surely done in some other settings, but talking about a distant future while staying in the past at the same time? That’s actually a first for me. Yeah.

「Question: The basic protocols for the Conquest Dolls to follow that are currently in progress are: “Reconquista Plan” and “Collector Plan”. Not to mention that the information about the Plan C is something that does not exist in our database. Please explain this.」

「Well, I mean…… The reason as to why the Plan C was not put into a database was simply because that the plan itself has been frozen. Indefinitely so.」

「And can we ask for the reason as to why that happened?」

「It was pointed out that it is really strange that the proposed “Model Gene Pool” pattern for the Next Generation Human Beings would be amounting to about a hundred or so and not more. They said that the Third Generation would need much more than that. Also, at the time I really had no arguments that I could have swung their way to deny their accusations and defend my own standing point. So there you have it, the project was axed and that was pretty much it. God damn you, Sieg Lindwurm, you absolute asshole……」

There was something that I really wanted to say here, but I ultimately decided not to do that, in case this would have caused my affection gauge to drop even further down. I mean, there is no reason that I could think of why I should bother myself to keep it at a high value, but still…… What kind of a creator does not allow some much needed words of criticism from their fanbase?

However, we were able to work out some much needed compromises to make it possible for the Sternbloom Plan to become unfrozen in the future. The “Reconquista Plan” is a slightly improved version of the frozen Plan C…… And that is the beginning of the Conquest Dolls and the reason why you are so similar to real people.」

「So? What exactly did you change after that?」

「Nothing? Why do you ask?」

「Huh?」

「You know what I did? I just picked up the original, slightly unfinished plan exactly in place where it was dropped off, and then I just fabricated the evidence that there were some major improvements to it, and I even went as far as to fabricate the reports and summaries that would make that claim look even more plausible than it was.」

「Huh……? Say what now……?」

「In short, all I had to do was to convince everyone that Sternbloom was going to be entirely human, even though I knew all too well that this wouldn’t actually be the case here. I mean, do you even realize just how easy is to fabricate such a thing? You just change a few words around and you are all set!」

「I don’t know what to say to this…… This is no longer just tampering with official documentation. This is a downright forgery!」

I mean, no matter what we want to talk about, there will always be three group of people involved: “fans”, “antis” and believers”. It is a rule from which there is no exception. Even such things as major projects intended to save the world. But this…… This is truly a little bit too much to handle…… All this just so that you could bypass the usual three-way?

「Question: What was the original “unfinished “concept for the Conquest Dolls?」

Whoa there! I was trying to avoid that subject, but it would seem that this particular word was something that Sigma was not going to just let by so easily. Sigma took a step closer towards the hologram while uttering the word “unfinished” and asked her Creator that question.

「Of course I will tell you, we were just getting to that part. That was some certain “unfinishness” that you would be born with, and it would be something that not your fans, but me, you figurative Father would help you to fill in…… And it would all be done once you would arrive at this very lab for the first time. And there we go, it is now completed!」

If it is said that the geniuses of the Era of the Gods would bestow their gifts and help to the humanity that arrived at the doorsteps of those Bahamut ships, then no matter how you would try to look at it, the same kind of principle would basically apply to Conquest Dolls as well, since they were also pretty much “human” here.

That’s why Andrew Jitter Doll answers the question: that there is a piece here that is missing from the Conquest Dolls and that he would help them find that missing piece.

「I do believe that congratulations are in order here, Elma=317 Sigma. As of right now, you are going to be the first “Perfect Humanoid Puppet” in the history of the entire Conquest Doll race. You should feel honored.」

–––––– “N” PATCH, BEGINNING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS.

……………

……………

「……………」

「……………」

「……………」

「……… So!? Is that all!? Isn’t there anything else!?」

Will there be some sort of extra event effect or something like that!? Something!? Anything at all!? Because if there won’t be anything like that, then what the hell was all that build-up even supposed to be!? You can’t just hype something up only to resolve it in a half-assed way like that!

「The installation of the patch has already been completed successfully. What else can I say? And with that, the introduction of this patch has lifted the upper limiter that was applied to your emotions from the moment you were manufactured……」

「My emotions…… Upper limiter? What does that even mean?」

「Yes, that’s right. When it comes to you guys, you have always been limited in your reactions and sensory responses to only be able to receive the small portion of perceptual information, all so that you could always make intelligent and rational decisions at all times and under any circumstances. However, those exact shackles are now going to come undone, all thanks to the application of the “N” Patch.」
