ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「Sigma!? How are you doing, buddy!? Are we there yet!?」

「Report: Two minutes left.」

That tingling tension-like sensation that’s been bugging me all this time, I could only start to understand it right about now…… When it comes to the best route possible to your goal, it is something that constantly shifts and morphs. It never stays the same, not even for a moment. So, the real power is actually the ability to identify those shifts and be able to tell where the best possible route is at all times. And there is also the ability to know when to give it your very best and when to conserve your strength since you might actually need it for later.

If you think about it carefully now, isn’t that the case that the actual power of the ice cream should be more than enough of a match for the Golden Age……? Even though its so terrifying? To be honest, this current opponent we are facing right now have more than every right to call itself a last boss, and there is no way in hell that you would be able to make me think otherwise. Especially since it was generally superior to the player in every possible aspect, but without going into the territory of a cheap game design that some shitty game developers tend to do on their part. It was perfectly balance, almost in a way that would make it impossible to complain about anything about it. Shame that this one particular developer never managed to grasp that concept.

According to the information from the indie shitty games hunters online, it seems that head hunting has not been done yet for their next title….. That person was only making a face-up video so far, but the indie maker who expects that once he starts head-hunting that everything will go according to his wishes and expectations is in for a very rude awakening. Such is the fate of everyone who started small and jumped into deep water without fully realizing what they were getting themselves into. So let’s not make the same type of mistake here, shall we?

「Well, I mean…… If you are going to fight continuously for an hour or even a few hours, it should be small wonder that your thoughts are gradually going to become more and more scattered.」

Now, even though for now it was Sigma who was actually earning the most aggro out there, she had way more free time than I would have initially expected. No, what I mean here, she is still really busy, so in a sense she does not have to think two or three steps ahead like I can for the time being. So while she is running around desperately, I can strategize about setting a few things up in advance here.

「Alright, Sigma! Let’s go!!」

「Roger that, Master: Super Voltage Fusing Sword “Plasmite Slasher”, going into effect now!」

Now, even if you were to correctly guess that you would be able to come this far, it would take actual time and effort to be able to dodge the incoming attacks and counter them with your own. However, the majority of responsibility for that would rest entirely on Sigma’s shoulders…… No, strictly speaking, it should be called “Sigma trying her best to fight off a natural huge mass of adversity.

But it’s not only about aiming your shots carefully. If you are spending a prolonged amount of time carefully aiming your attacks at one and particular part of the enemy’s body, sooner or later it is bound to understand what you are trying to do. In other words, Golden Age was beginning to understand that we were trying to get rid of its “Holy Sword”. But even so, I was still ordering Sigma to move right in front of the tail with every intention to strike it down. Not to mention that we already managed to deal three powerful attacks in a row to it…… I feel like we should not be letting our guards down anytime soon, but I would also like to have a little breather. I am genuinely starting to feel as though I am running out of breath in here.

「Now then, whatever should I do here……」

I have learned that Jet Pile skill some time ago, and in this situation dropping the Black Tortoise right in the middle of the field and stop moving was kind of out of the question…… No, but isn’t this whole battle basically nearing its climax right about now? I was originally planning to save it for some more dire occasion, but…… Before, it took me almost an entire night to defeat a normal Golden Crystal Scorpion, but at this rate we might be able to defeat this “Golden Age” under an hour or so. And I was considerably weaker at that time, too. Now, I understand that comparing the Rare Monster to Extraordinary Monster is something as if you were trying to compare the Heaven to the Earth. However, I guess that it wouldn’t be an understatement to think that this particular monster does not fall all that far off from the Raid Monsters or Unique Monsters in terms of raw strength and power.

When it comes to Raid Monsters in this game, I get the feeling that “number of players participating” is way more important setting-wise than the damage race that a single individual can do, but the Extraordinary Monsters should be more akin to Rare Monsters, wouldn’t you agree? So in a sense, there is always a possibility that you can corner them with enough firepower and clever tactics, right? Which kind of does not make that much of a sense, but hey, such things are always welcome.

「…… Hey, Sigma! It’s time for us to switch things around and play some much needed turbo game!」

「However, Master. The longer we take with this fight, the harder it is going for us to become able to land our attacks accurately and with enough firepower.」

「Hey, as long as the possibility of us actually landing an attack is not zero percent, then it is not impossible! As long as it’s not impossible, everything is possible! I know that probability is important and all, but don’t let that fact intimidate you, Sigma! Because for as long as you think something is impossible, the probability of you actually succeeding will always sit at zero!」

So hold your fists high! So raise your sword in the air! Hold on to your spear tight and do not let it go under any circumstances……!! You cannot win without making some necessary sacrifices, some blood will always need to be shed! So let’s spill us some blood and grasp that win for ourselves!

Now then, leave all the heavy lifting to me, Sigma! When it comes to the damage sponge Tank and Avoidance Tank, I’ve got you covered! Now, since we have that matter all taken care off, respond to my will, Aradval Rebuild! It’s been a while since that battle started, but…… Now it’s the right time to star warming up. Or better yet, to blaze into a passionate heat! This thing might not be nearly as majestic of an opponent as a dragon, but it is still a prey worthy of hunting down!

「Normally this spear would be pretty much impossible to manifest! However, it is precisely because of its non-existence that its brilliance burns even brighter! Now, spin around and knit together all those scattered fragments! Let the heat rise up!」
