ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「Precisely. When the Behemoth was equipped with Q.E.D. system and it was decided to put the Plan B into a full swing, we managed to come with a solution that would let us raise and nurture new human beings without the obstacle that is a mother’s body and her womb. What was once absolutely necessary to conceive and raise a child has now become completely obsolete. The need for manually teaching the child and providing it with necessary education has also been eradicated. Not only we managed to save time with this, but we also started with producing an already adult body, into which we would simply integrate the copy of everything needed for a healthy life directly into the specimen’s brain. Following that logic, the only thing that essentially differs when it comes to the Next Generation Human Beings and those who are going to come after them, the Third Generation Human Beings…… it would be whether the substances that make up the body is organic or inorganic in nature.」

「I, I see. Certainly, there might be some truth to that.」

I would say that the more horrifying thing here would be if it didn’t make that much of a sense…… Or wait, maybe the fact that it DOES make sense is actually the most horrifying thing?

It is certainly true that the origin of Next Generation Human Beings is already way too unusual for any living thing out there, so even if we take the so-called Meta-Humans out of the equation here, I think it can be a certainty that this Behemoth right here is able to mass-produce human beings with one hundred percent accuracy when it comes to physique and personality like the humans of the past. Or at the very least, it wouldn’t be something that would reach the realm of impossibility.

Even when you take twins who are given exactly the same things and have received the exact same education, there will come a time when their ideologies are going to diverge dramatically. So to be perfectly honest here, we might not even be so different, Conquest Dolls and Next Generation Human Beings. After all, the difference between us two species is going to be purely material at this point in time…… I mean, there is still the matter about our insides and whatnot, but you do understand where I’m coming from with this, right?

「And that basically brings us to Plan C. Creating a group of eternal idols that would be able to pass on the supreme culture represented by Sternbloom to posterity! Idols being able to think and act for themselves, capable of both singing and dancing on the same level as their genuine human counterparts…… A group of Idol saviors who would bring passion and colors into this cold and lonely void of space! That is what my research is all about! This is the work of my entire life!」

「I think that I kind of get it what you’re getting at, but at the same time I kind of don’t……」

It’s just as they say: seeing is believing. And seeing an actual product at work is worth way more than having to look at the blueprints more than hundred times over. Because you are no longer operating on theories and assumptions, but actual facts and raw data. So even if the original plans of this whole Sternbloom were lost long time ago, what is really important here is whether they can reproduce the impression that Sternbloom gave off to their fans.

「And that is basically the basis for Plan C. Plan A and Plan B that were before them…… In other words, this is what’s going to happen once “Baton Pass” goes into effect. As a result, the two Bahamuts went into hiding temporarily, vanishing off the stage called history. But do you even know what that means!? What it implies!?」

「Huh? Ahh, hmm, let’s see here. If we follow the flow of the story up until this point…… Could it be that the basic concept of the Plan C is to perform a Culture Shock? Or maybe a Culture Break would be the better description?」

「Wonderful! That is precisely the correct answer here, Sanraku! Except for Ziz, with which all communication was lost, Behemoth and Leviathan have managed to record all of the history that happened thus far! From the Mother Star that was once abandoned by humankind, to the journey to this star by traveling the vast sea of stars! All of the culture is recorded on those ships!!! As long as they are hidden in the shadows of history and survive, so long the new humanity will have culture to carry on! So it wouldn’t it be possible to make history without knowing what Sternbloom is!!!」

Hearing her Creator’s scorching enthusiasm when it comes to the “history” of Sternbloom that was supposedly flawless and without holes in it, Sigma couldn’t help it but to take a step back. It was certainly that level of passion that no mere hologram should ever be able to exhibit.

In short, this means that every single second constituting of the humanity’s history is going to be recorded and preserved for posterity. Not a single thing is ever going to be forgotten. It is a truly impressive feat, but at the same time I was also getting a feeling that they might have actually went a little bit overboard with it, don’t you think? There is this thing when doing something too much is even worse than actually not doing something enough, you know?

「Let’s be painfully honest and clear about one thing here, even though it hurts me to admit it: Sternbloom is certainly a thing of the past now. Part of the long lost past. Even during my own life, by the time I actually managed to discover and learn about their radiant brilliance, most of the original members had already reached the end of their natural lives and passed on…… If only they weren’t born when they were. If only they were born about eighty years later. Because in their time, no matter how advanced the science and technology of humanity was, they were unable to beat their greatest opponent: the irreversibility of time itself. It was the kind of power that only arrived much later.」

While saying that, Andrew’s hologram clenched its fists really tight. I could feel that whatever it was that was going on inside of his head right now was the main driving force behind his actions, no matter if we are talking about the past or the present moment. It was the kind of motivation that was making you want to scream, but at the same time it would not allow you to draw your voice from your throat.

「Because I was such a late bloomer, I have failed to inherit the wishes of my former comrades. So now, this is the only way for me that I can still go forward……This is the only way in which I can possibly make Sternbloom last forever…… And with that, the Plan C is also going to last forever, because it is based on the very same principle. The flower born in the midst of the sea of stars that keeps on blooming, never withering and never ending……!!」

Okay, so to make a long story short here…… This basically means that we can do whatever we want, and how we want! And that’s just guessing! That’s not helpful in the slightest here!

Yeah, I am really starting to not like the fact that this stupid asshole seems to be needlessly complicating things for us at every single step!
