A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 737: Chapter 737: Prehistoric Speculation

The matter of the King of the Abyss, Agrimond, at the Tristar Holy Tower, has come to a close.

It is unknown how many years it will be until another King of the Abyss, after being acknowledged by the world’s will, dares to challenge again, especially after Agrimond showed such strength when forced by the Mechanical Burst Fighter, Holmzi.

For Agrimond, such a passive waiting is simply a torment.

Seven days later, Green personally witnessed an Abyssal Fortress without mechanical airships, mechanical bees, or slave monsters—only a group of Abyss Refining Body Sorcerers grinning like marauders, led by three advanced Abyssal Wizards, leaving the Wizard World.

Inside the Tristar Holy Tower Library.

Because the evolutionary method of Wild Body-Refining Wizards is completely different from that of Elemental Wizards, focusing more on breakthroughs between life and death, Wild Body-Refining Wizards do not require extensive knowledge. This evolutionary method leads to a lesser collection of book knowledge even in the Holy Tower Library.

He only held a try-and-see attitude, hoping to find some breakthrough techniques for Wild Body-Refining Wizards in the library, to see if it could aid in his research into the life code fracture and the field of biological genetic evolution.

Without a doubt, Green was disappointed.

In the Tristar Holy Tower Library, the records of breakthroughs in the wild layers in any books contained only one thing: the continuous tempering of the body using the abyssal breath, the trials between life and death, and self-breakthrough through struggle, to open the ”ancient seal” within the body.

Therefore, Green found no knowledge or techniques regarding the breakthrough of the Wild Instinct layers.

Just when Green was about to leave in disappointment, a series of stone tablet murals in the library corridor caught his attention. As Green examined them closely, he was dumbfounded with amazement.

These stone tablet murals were actually based on the oral latent memories of all who had opened the fourth layer of Wild Instinct at the Abyss Colosseum, researched and deduced by a Stigma Sorcerer into an ancient Barbarian Giant social system!

Prehistoric conjectures?

Perhaps there were some errors and personal imagination of the Stigma Sorcerer, but they also had considerable reference value.

Overall, not all sorcerers who unlocked higher layers of Wild Instinct transformed into various Barbarian Giant forms. Those who transformed into different forms of Barbarian Wizards upon unlocking the third and fourth layers of Wild Instinct accounted for only about half, while the other half were various strange biological forms.

According to the Stigma Sorcerer’s bold conjecture, these monsters were the deities of the ancient mainland of the Wizard World, that is, the Supreme Sorcerers of the prehistoric Wizard World!

The prehistoric Wizard World was filled with a wild atmosphere, with creatures living brutishly, naturally evolving amidst mutual slaughter in this great world.

At that time, the Wizard World was divided into land and sea, each part having its own ecological system with sparse interaction.

In the land’s ecological system, a gradually expanding biological group emerged, known as the Barbarian Giants. Led by the ancestor of humans, they worshipped all powerful creatures feared by the Barbarian Giant tribes as deities using the most primitive instincts, conducting the most primitive sacrifices with their best prey offered as sacrifices to each deity.

However...

Gradually, the Barbarian tribes grew stronger, and fewer creatures made them feel fear.

Creatures not feared by the Barbarian Giants were no longer considered deities, nor were they worshipped or sacrificed to; they became just like any other prey the Barbarian Giants once hunted, subjected to the slaughter of these wild, energetic creatures.

Until one day, there wasn’t a single creature left on that land that the Barbarian Giants feared—they became the sole rulers of that land, the true dominators!

From the scorching south to the endless ice sea in the north, from the easternmost shallow sea where the sun first rises to the westernmost end where the sun last sets, the footprint of the Barbarian Giants covered the entire continent. With their relatively primitive wisdom, they could no longer find any ancient deities outside the Barbarian Giants.

Unknowingly, they had become the only deities of the land.

As time passed.

After carefree reproduction, the land became full of Barbarian Giants, who began to split into tribes led by powerful Barbarian deities.

Barbarian Giants began fighting each other, merely for that so-called tribal power.

After losing anything to revere on this land, the Barbarian Giants seemingly lost the drive to evolve, slowly decaying. Over time, of those ancient Barbarian deities, except for the ancestor of humans, all others gradually died out. Sadly, future Barbarians lost the ability to give birth to Barbarian deities.

The fall of the Barbarians’ dark history, during which unknown changes occurred on the continent, led to the gradual extinction of Barbarians!

The ancestor of humans, during the last stage of his life, fused the blood of all the ancient deities he had defeated into his own body, creating a brand new biological species—humankind!

Thus, when half of the Body-Cultivating Wizards open a deep Wild Transformation, they surprisingly don’t transform into various Barbarian Giants, but rather into one strange creature after another.

Compared to the Barbarian Giants, humans, though innately far weaker, could control their emotions more easily, possessing grander ambitions, bearing the Soul Fire capable of harboring greater spiritual power, and intellectual potential. Gradually, they opened up the most primitive Dark Sorcerer Evolution System and Mechanical Sorcerer Evolution System on this deity-less land.

After reading the last stone tablet mural, Green fell into contemplation, using his wisdom to estimate the reliability of these stone tablet murals and to discern where the personal will of the Stigma Sorcerer might have been mixed in.

”Gahaha, quite interesting, using the ancient cellular memories unlocked by the Wild Transformation of Body-Cultivating Wizards to conjecture the prehistoric history of Wizard civilization. Could it be that this wizard intends to use this as the foundation for True Spirit Dedication?”

Xiao Ba laughed with interest.

Such a matter as speculating on the prehistoric Barbarian Giant social system had not been done by the Ancient Wizards before the birth of Abyss Refinement Wild Wizards, making it a bold pioneering move.

The orthodox history of the Wizard World originates from the ancestor of humans.

”From this, it can be seen that to say these Abyssal Wizards did not replace the Elemental Wizards as the leading will of the Wizard World is something no one would believe.”

Green began to patiently record his exploratory research findings here.

Although the credibility of these prehistoric conjectures remains debatable, they certainly hold reference value; nothing here was fabricated without foundation.

Moreover, when Green opened the Third Layer of Wild Instinct, indeed, some fragmented ancient Barbarian Giant information had emerged, and through it, Green learned the history of the Barbarian Giants before the ancestor of humans.

However, Green’s Barbarian Giant transformation after opening the Third Layer of Wild Instinct was just the most basic hereditary information of Barbarian Giants. Though the physical abilities were strong compared to modern humans, they were but ordinary members of the prehistoric Barbarian Giant biological group.

If he could open another layer of Wild Instinct, it would become a unique Barbarian Giant with special abilities.

Green looked at the stone tablet mural ahead, introducing the Ancient Dragon Giants. It seems the Wild Body-Refining Sorcerers had opened the Ancient Dragon Giant transformation even before Agrimond.

Freely manipulating the endlessly versatile Ancient Dragon Crystal Armor, divided into the speed-focused flying form and the strength-focused ground form, with the innate ability to super-densely compress the atmosphere, effectively aiding offense and defense.

Hmm?

Two forms, he even retains them!? (To be continued. If you like this work, please feel free to go to Qidian () to vote for recommendations and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. For mobile users, please visit m. to read.)
