A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 711: Chapter 711: Knowledge Inheritance

Three months later.

”Instructor Green, by traveling with you like this, in the future, will I be considered a Light Wizard or a Dark Wizard? Will I become an Arcane Wizard or go to the Holy Towers to join the Demon-Hunting Wizards?”

Having taken Cappuccino as his first disciple, Green no longer chose to ride the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab and the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird. Instead, they traveled on foot across the diverse and colorful landscapes of the Wizard World, including deserts, thorns, mountains, ice fields, rivers, grasslands, and hills, allowing Cappuccino to constantly accumulate seemingly insignificant yet enormously important natural knowledge.

After the changes in Biselle City, Cappuccino had clearly grown a lot, his mindset shifting almost as dramatically as Green’s after the bloody purification of the sea wheel.

A wizard’s rational and steady aura began to emanate from Cappuccino, and this personal growth in mindset is a unique experience for everyone.

Upon hearing Cappuccino’s question, Green casually brushed aside the weeds in front of him and said nonchalantly, ”Whether it’s Light Wizard, Dark Wizard, Dark Sorcerer, Demon-Hunting Wizard, Arcane Wizard, Mechanical Wizard, Body Refining Sorcerer, Nightmare Wizard, or Stray Sorcerer, regardless of the classification, the essence of a wizard’s pursuit of knowledge and world rules remains unchanged.”

The enormous shadow of the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird passed by in the sky, accompanied by the faint cheerful cries of Xiao Ba.

Green paid no attention to it and continued to say to Cappuccino, ”Although wizards seek the essence of truth in all things, you must remember that the most powerful wizards are those who transcend the rules to achieve their ultimate goals. The pursuit of truth, rules, and knowledge is due to our ignorance; it is the means by which we gain great strength, but it is not the result we desire. The ancestor of humans led mankind from the passive evolution path of the Barbarian Giants’ physique onto the path of wizards to seek the perfect ideal of the Endless World, not because the previous path of evolution wasn’t powerful enough...”

Suddenly, Green stopped.

Absorbing Green’s words, Cappuccino also halted, looking ahead where, beyond the thicket, lay an endless black swamp filled with miasma and poisonous insects.

”Instructor, what’s the matter?”

Cappuccino stared with wide eyes at Green.

Turning around, Green looked at Cappuccino from beneath the Face of Truth and said in a deep voice, ”Among the knowledge I will impart to you—Male Poison Body Refining, Magnetic Field Circulation, and the Three-Sense Inheritance—this poisonous swamp is very suitable for your study of Male Poison Body Refining. You should start with foundational mixed poison knowledge. By the way, this Radiation Stone can be used as an auxiliary tool early on.”

Saying this, the small piece of Radiation Stone previously given to Green by Peranos was handed over to Cappuccino as a gift, wrapped in a seal. Green warned Cappuccino about the dangers of the Radiation Stone.

The three pieces of knowledge that Peranos taught Green were Mixed Poison Body Refining, Repulsion Attraction Dual Force, and Eternal Eye. However, when Green passed them down to Cappuccino, they evolved into more advanced knowledge: Male Poison Body Refining, Magnetic Field Circulation, and the Three-Sense Inheritance.

In fact, when the Stigmata Wizard of Netherheart taught Peranos, these three pieces of knowledge were not passed down to Green just as they were.

For instance, the ”Endless Eyes” initially only comprised the knowledge of the Eye of Unbounded from Netherheart, and it became the Endless Eyes after Peranos added the knowledge of the Boundless Eye.

This is the knowledge inheritance of the Wizard World!

Under Green’s guidance, on the edge of this vast swamp, Green and Cappuccino built a hidden wooden house where Green patiently taught Cappuccino the knowledge of Male Poison Body Refining, fulfilling his important duties as an instructor.

Of course, aside from teaching time, Green had plenty of leisure time; thus, the development of high-end Male Poison Body Refining agents, Laphie’s Wonderful Moments Memory Self-Sealing Spell research, the construction of the ”Book of Truth”, exploration beneath the Biological Crack of Life Codes, and high-end Synthetic Beast research continued.

...

Ten years later.

Ten years isn’t long for Green; in fact, many experiments didn’t even show significant progress. However, for Cappuccino, still a wizard apprentice, it felt incredibly long.

Keep in mind, Green’s time as a wizard apprentice at the Heisota Sorcerer Academy was only twenty years.

At this time, if Cappuccino were compared to Green during his time at the Heisota Academy, it would be like the stage where Green rapidly rose after mastering the Three Hidden Great Witchcraft and the Metamorphosis Technique.

Over the years, although Green mainly taught Cappuccino the knowledge of Male Poison Body Refining, he never limited Cappuccino’s understanding or innovative ideas. Thus, Cappuccino engaged in all sorts of diverse failed experiments, often going down ”wrong paths,” but Green never guided him towards what he deemed the ”correct” path.

Because every wizard is unique, and what Green considers the correct path may not necessarily be correct for Cappuccino.

As a result, it might seem on the surface that Cappuccino delayed much on his research, but Green knew it was invaluable support for Cappuccino’s overall wizard path.

During Green’s time as a wizard apprentice, if he hadn’t given up two years early on everything else to stubbornly pour himself into researching ”Hunter’s Nose and Scent Atlas,” how could he have invented the Love God Venus Potion? How could he have developed the Three Hidden Great Witchcraft and the Metamorphosis Technique?

Thus, Green’s current research into the direction of subconscious biological evolution under the Life Code Crack was similarly an extension of knowledge that once seemed trivial.

The weather was clear.

In the wooden house laboratory, Green watched Cappuccino’s cheerful departing figure, seemingly lost in thought.

”Caw caw caw, young master, you’ve experienced matters of the heart too. Are you really going to intervene?”

Xiao Ba laughed and asked.

Over these years, the small wooden house where Green and Cappuccino lived in seclusion was discovered by a wandering wizard apprentice. This male apprentice was an exceptional Bright Wizard Apprentice who, even compared to Cappuccino, was equally remarkable and was also seen as a promising candidate for a Legendary Sorcerer Apprentice.

After long solitude, this outstanding male apprentice naturally attracted Cappuccino, and likewise, he was drawn to Cappuccino’s beauty, mysterious background, and extraordinary wisdom. Ignoring Green’s warnings, they frequently met in secret, and now the two were on the brink of a romantic relationship.

”Ah...”

With a sigh, Green said in a deep voice, ”Pack up and leave. Matters of the heart she must decide for herself. Who can say accurately what’s right or wrong?”

Three Hourglasses later.

On the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird, Cappuccino’s eyes were moist, and she clenched her teeth, saying, ”Go; I can’t leave my instructor for you. Becoming a great sorcerer is not only my dream but also the hope of my grandfather and instructor. I cannot let them down.”

On the ground, the male apprentice stood with his head held high, wanting to say something but finding himself unable to utter a word. He clenched his teeth as his eyes welled up, and his white wizard robe fluttered in the wind.

The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab and the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird gradually faded into the distance. Just as the male apprentice was overwhelmed with indescribable sorrow, Green’s voice suddenly reached his ears.

”Work hard, little one. If you both become Official Sorcerers and still remember this moment, everything will turn out beautifully.”

The male apprentice stood there dumbfounded, staring at the massive shadows completely disappearing over the swamp. (To be continued.
