A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 715: Chapter 715: One Family

Strength, wisdom, luck, the three ways to advance as an Official Sorcerer.

It seems that aside from strength, in the eyes of ordinary people, wisdom and luck are beyond control, but in reality, only wisdom is something a sorcerer can truly grasp because, no matter how strong you are, accidents can always happen.

No one can clearly state the level of wisdom required for a wizard apprentice to advance to Official Sorcerer. In any case, an apprentice who blindly copies the knowledge of senior wizards, no matter how strong they are, will never reach that level.

This so-called level refers to the degree of comprehension and mastery of Elemental Wizard knowledge by the apprentice because everyone’s adaptation to the rules is unique!

However, Green and Cappuccino never seemed to worry about or consider whether they could advance to an Official Sorcerer.

Because Cappuccino is already immersed in the joy of wizard knowledge. From Cappuccino’s daily progress, from her daily accumulation of knowledge, and from her joy, Green knows she is walking on the path of pursuing her wizard knowledge and truth.

If even such an apprentice can’t advance to Official Sorcerer, what do other apprentices rely on to advance, just luck?

If that were true, then in the Wizard World, there would be no such thing as wisdom advancing to Official Sorcerer, only luck.

Metal shell, on the heart of the Six Rings.

”Remember, the strongest aid in advancing to Official Sorcerer is not any potion or external help, but yourself. Perceive the rules of the Endless World, master the Force of Nature, and realize that your apprentice Rune knowledge is nothing more than a rules summary conducted by the Ancient Wizards of the Wizard World according to its unique rules. Once you leave the Wizard World, you are just an ordinary human being, deprived of any Elemental Witchcraft abilities, strive to understand the differences in the rules.”

Under the Green Truth Mask, Green stared into Cappuccino’s eyes, extremely serious, as this concerned her potential to advance to Official Sorcerer. Green did not wish for Cappuccino to walk down the path of Vivian.

Learning from Vivian’s past lessons, Green knew that the only way to aid Cappuccino’s advancement was to use his own privileges to allow Cappuccino to enjoy the treatment of the wizard apprentices who made it to the Sanctum qualification battle, entering the Sanctum World, and to protect her from existential oppression when the Sixth Ring True Spirit Wizard might descend upon the Six-Ring Holy Tower.

Other than that, assistance would equate to harm.

The Sanctum World, ruled by the will of the True Spirit Wizards, cannot be influenced by the Wizard World’s rules, yet each Sanctum World rules are modeled after the Wizard World.

Superficial similarities, different rules.

The abrupt loss of witchcraft abilities due to rule discrepancies will allow the apprentices who enter to experience the Balance Rules of the Endless World to the greatest extent, thus breaking free from their superficial understanding and advancing to Official Sorcerer.

Cappuccino wasn’t nervous, nor excited, just quietly nodded her head.

Buzz!

The Lever of Destiny rule pried open the heart of the Six Rings, leaving the Wizard World, causing slight discomfort, but with Cappuccino’s physique, she could barely endure it.

”Mentor, why were they all looking over here just now?”

Upon arriving in the Six Rings World, under the dim sky filled with an endless expanse of Space Airships, Demon-Hunting Sorcerers, Slave Monsters, and Mechanical Flying Objects, Cappuccino finally voiced her curiosity. Just now, on the heart of the Six Rings, as she entered with her mentor, all the sorcerers inside focused their gaze this way.

Not only that, but even earlier, wherever the mentor walked, he seemed like the focal point of the scenery, with surrounding Demon-Hunting Sorcerers frequently casting glances, some even looking on with reverence and respectfully saluting.

Green just smiled and didn’t speak.

Despite standing shoulder to shoulder in this World Fragment, the image of the Six-Ring Holy Tower is entirely different from the Seven-Ring Holy Tower. The green, mysterious spheres covered the entire surface of the Holy Tower; these are the renowned Six Ring Algae!

Green squeezed into the bubble-like gaps of dormant Six Ring Algae with Cappuccino.

Following that, the scene shifted to sunny skies, with a gentle breeze, and bustling crowds on the white-stone plaza. Great Witch Hunters and elite hunters passed by while large quantities of metal flying objects and synthetic lifeforms streamed overhead, no different than inside the Seven-Ring Holy Tower.

”Ooo...”

However, no sooner did Cappuccino enter the Six-Ring Holy Tower, did she involuntarily crouch down, overwhelmed by extreme discomfort.

Green merely stood beside Cappuccino, watching quietly with no means to offer any help. The massive rule divergence meant that the apprentices, accustomed to the Wizard World rules, commonly experienced such symptoms upon first entering the Sanctum.

Three Hourglass durations later!

After maintaining her posture all that time, Cappuccino suddenly stood up, her eyes bright, as the Force of Nature around her formed into a small vortex, converging toward her.

”Mentor, I have successfully advanced to Official Sorcerer.”

Cappuccino spoke with an air of inevitability because, from a historical perspective, and from the broader scope of the Wizard World, becoming an Official Sorcerer isn’t much, for she remains very small and lacks the capacity to promote the progress of the Wizard World, or even make a ripple.

Yet, in Green’s eyes, there was unveiled elation, surprise, excitement, and satisfaction towards his outstanding and brilliant disciple.

The wizard apprentices emerging from the Sanctum qualification battle typically advance rapidly to Official Sorcerer after entering the Sanctum; Cappuccino, who grasped the Endless World’s Balance Rules within three Hourglass durations, was entirely unexpected.

”Indeed, Cappuccino, from now on, you are an Official Sorcerer and you will walk your own path of wizardry.”

Green then said, ”So... what do you feel now?”

Cappuccino hesitated for a moment, then looked at Green and said, ”Instructor Green, you are watched by the will of the Wizard World. Those Demon-Hunting Sorcerers are not looking at you, they are actually observing the Wizard’s Will surrounding you.”

”It seems you have already mastered your innate abilities, possessing the power to manipulate the World’s Power of the Wizard World, and have become an Innate Guardian of the Wizard World.”

Green took a deep breath and solemnly added, ”I hope you will find your own unique path of wizardry in the future, Cappuccino!”

...

One month later.

On the eightieth floor of the Tower of the Nine Furious Sorcerers, Green brought Cappuccino to Mentor Peranos’s laboratory to trace back to their roots.

After several hundred years apart, Xiao Ba and Gahei still quarreled out of habit. Mother Alice warmly received Cappuccino, along with Master Sister Youquan, Second Senior Brother Varro, and... a male wizard apprentice with round-rimmed black glasses.

”Green, is this really your disciple?”

Upon hearing that Cappuccino was Green’s disciple, Varro looked at his own round-rimmed glasses-wearing student behind him, then thought to himself. His face flushed red ”swish” in an instant.

Varro was still a First-Level Wizard without any change, no wonder he was blushing.

”Come, Cappuccino, this is your Second Uncle Varro, a learned Arcane Wizard, with notable research in the history of the Wizard World and evolution of creatures in Foreign Domains.”

Green introduced with a smile.

”Second Uncle.”

Cappuccino bowed his head in respect. This old wizard was his mentor’s senior, yet he was still a First-Level Wizard, indicating he was likely a knowledgeable Arcane Wizard.

Cappuccino thought that perhaps this was a Arcane Wizard just like his grandfather.

”Hmph, I’ve long told you to work harder, but you never do, look at Green!”

At the opportune moment, Master Sister Youquan coldly scolded Varro on behalf of Mentor Peranos. Varro didn’t dare to say a word and just nodded repeatedly, secretly pursing his lips.

Green changed his expression, becoming serious, and introduced with deep respect, ”This is your Master Aunt, the Destruction Sword Stigmata Sorcerer!”

Cappuccino swallowed secretly, looking at the witch in front of him, wrapped in white bandages, with a black flame greatsword on her back, giving off a world-destroying aura with every move, respectfully said, ”Master Aunt.”

Youquan nodded, seemingly already aware of Cappuccino’s talent, and looked at Green with satisfaction, ”Not bad, it seems you’ve indeed taken in a good disciple.”

Green smiled, feeling very heartened by the affirmation, not only because the other party was a Stigmata Sorcerer but also because she was Green’s long-standing target of pursuit, Master Sister Youquan.

”Cappuccino, this is your Grandmaster, the current head of the Nine-Headed Fury Academy, Mentor Peranos!”

Seeing Peranos with his Soul Fire starting to show signs of weakening, and remembering the departed Second Uncle Dadalon due to the extinguishing of his Soul Fire, Green’s voice turned low. Two thousand years of memories with Mentor Peranos were vivid, and a faint smile barely appeared at the corner of his mouth.

This faint smile seemed to tell his mentor that the legacy of knowledge he once entrusted has now been carried on.

Life and death are also part of the Balance Rules of the Endless World, harsh and unkind.

”Grandmaster Peranos!”

As Cappuccino finished his greeting, Peranos burst into hearty laughter, and a sumptuous family feast began.

Warm and cozy.

Varro also introduced Green to his student, embellishing Green’s past deeds, making not only the little guy’s eyes shine but also leaving Cappuccino, who formerly knew little of Green, with his mouth agape.

So the mentor was quite the ”formidable person” back in the day.

”Meow, stupid bird, it was I who watched Green grow bit by bit, hehe...”

Facing Gahei’s teasing, Xiao Ba sneered ”caw caw caw” nastily, ”You fool, you can only do some caretaking work at the Summoned Beast Daycare for Master Eight, caw caw caw...” (To be continued.
