A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 726: Chapter 726: Body of Freedom

Dong!

Opening his eyes again, the mechanical clock of the Eternal Sky City in front of Green just happened to strike the moment in a day when the human biological clock resets, a crisp chime sounding.

Ka-cha, ka-cha, ka-cha, ka-cha...

The sound of the mechanical clock’s gears turning seemed eternal. At the moment Green woke up, he felt as if a moment of absent-mindedness had passed, trying to recall the time just before he fell into the daze, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t remember.

What surprised Green even more was the previously clear sensation of the Ancestor’s Blood in his body, which now seemed to have completely integrated into every part of him, thoroughly becoming a part of his body, no longer producing effects like Bloodline Sorcery.

”Has the Ancestor’s Blood completely integrated into my body, breaking the previous human wizard bloodline specifications, becoming a Body of Freedom allowing evolution!?”

Incredibly excited!

Green hadn’t expected to gain such rewards so soon after arriving in the Sky City. According to some fragmented historical records, many wizards who were lucky enough to gain the Ancestor’s Blood typically took two thousand, even three thousand years to completely merge with it, thereby embarking on the path of secondary bloodline fusion.

Gaining the fusion of bloodline sorcery with the Ancestor’s Blood, the greatest benefit was the ability to modify the evolutionary direction of human specifications, forgetting the ancestral rigid evolution specifications for human cells, becoming a Body of Freedom, thus achieving perfect fusion of any bloodline sorcery!

In the Endless Worlds, the number of powerful Different World lifeforms is incalculable, with clan abilities that are endlessly bizarre and stunning, and many are gifted beyond compare. Bloodline Sorcery is akin to a symbiotic insect and a wizard’s innate talent, without the strongest, only the one that can be utilized to the highest degree according to the wizard’s needs.

Now Green’s human specification bloodline has been autonomously modified by the Ancestor’s Blood, becoming a Body of Freedom, and no longer the wizard path of human evolution rigidly set by the ancestors.

So, Green can achieve a bloodline assimilation, reaching a perfect bloodline sorcery without any side effects!

”Waga Gaga, young master, you finally woke up. Fortunately, you didn’t end up like those others. I’ve heard some of them have been in dormancy for over a thousand years and haven’t awakened yet.”

A voice came by his ear, the cry of Xiao Ba, Green instinctively asked, ”How long have I been in dormancy?”

”Just one day short of six years!”

Upon hearing Xiao Ba say this, Green was dumbfounded.

Even though he already realized that a considerable amount of time had passed in that daze, he had secretly estimated that it should be about two or three months at most, but he hadn’t expected Xiao Ba to give such an answer.

At the same time, Green turned to look around, seeing tens of thousands of wizards in various postures entering a state of deep dormancy, seemingly forgetting the passage of time, just like when the wizard apprentice Green advanced to an Official Sorcerer at the World’s Heart.

Comparing with the vague memories before falling into the daze, indeed, some of these wizards seemed to have changed.

”Young master, look, it’s that wizard, still in that state after one thousand three hundred and fifty-four years.”

Green looked over, and saw at the center of the mechanical clock in mid-air, a large transparent rhombic ice crystal over ten meters in size was floating, a stunning woman with skin as snow, black long hair like a waterfall, was quietly in deep dormancy with closed eyes, serene beyond measure.

This was a Third-Level Great Sorcerer, and judging from the rhombic ice crystal enveloping her, she had already completed energy transformation with a First-Level Honor Medal and the attention of the Wizard World’s Will apparent in the ripples emanating from her.

”One thousand three hundred and fifty-four years?”

Green murmured to himself, then suddenly shook his head with a faint smile.

Are people envious of her?

Perhaps indeed, some wizards do envy her. Any wizard falling into dormancy in front of the mechanical clock has gained something to some extent, including Green himself. But compared to those wizards in dormancy, the vast majority of wizards gained nothing, becoming transient passersby before the mechanical clock.

However!

If people knew this witch had been before the mechanical clock for one thousand three hundred and fifty-four years, how many would still envy her?

This... is a kind of silent, quiet death.

Any wizard who approached would notice that the witch’s Soul Fire was gradually falling into a low state, something only Peranos would be in, having entered the elder years of an Official Sorcerer’s life.

If she hadn’t entered such a dormancy state, the witch might still have some opportunity to try advancing to Stigma Sorcerer, but now there’s no telling when she might wake up.

If she never wakes up, then for her, the moment of dormancy signified her death...

”Let’s go, it’s just the ancestor’s luck, it’s not the normal evolutionary path of a wizard.”

After Green sighed, he called Xiao Ba on his shoulder and the distant Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab and Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird, becoming another of the transient passersby before the mechanical clock, flying towards the interior of the Eternal Sky City Continent.

...

The ancient Sky City of the Wizard World was entirely metal-structured, serving as a docking port for space fortresses during the expedition conquests, bearing the power of the True Spirit Wizard, allowing the endless Slave Monster Corps to traverse the endless void faster on their long journey.

And now the Eternal Sky City, merging with all the Ancient Sky Cities, has become part of the Wizard World, forming a part of its rule, with the surface of the floating ”continent” nurturing mountains and rivers, flora, and fauna.

Inside the Eternal Sky City.

Apart from various mechanical factories for streamlined production by Mechanical Wizards, producing mechanical works such as space fortresses, space airships, Ant Queen-Level Mechanical Puppets, General Ant Level Mechanical Puppets, high-mobility mechanical bees, microscopes, detectors, etc., it also carries the burden of the Wizard World’s reserves!

This reserve represents the war-prep storage of the Wizard World, the last strength to confront any unknown challenge faced by the Wizard World, and apart from those supreme, great Eternal True Spirit Wizards, no one knows exactly what it holds.

The Eternal Sky City doesn’t have the extremely dense metal buildings of the Two Rings Holy Tower Ruined City, except for the occasional large city and Mechanical Sorcerer Academy, it is no different from the Wizard Continent.

In fact, many of the metal buildings in Ruined Wall City were gradually added later to provide enough residence for the increasing number of Demon-Hunting Sorcerers at the Second Ring Holy Tower. Even so, large empty spaces were still reserved as sufficient transit zones for materials from the Different World.

In ancient times on the Sky City, it was desolate.

The vast space above was just to provide a docking place for hundreds or thousands of space fortresses and for the shivering, endless, seemingly vast Milky Way-like flood of Slave Monsters under the Wizard’s Will.

It was the ”True Spirit Space Fortress” personally led by the Ancient True Spirit Wizard on an expedition to Different World clusters. (To be continued.
