A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 727: Chapter 727: Face of Truth Phase 6 Project

After two years, Green finally flew from the edge of Sky City to its center, the Sky Mechanical Holy Tower!

Green’s understanding of mechanical knowledge is basically at the surface level of a wizard apprentice, with very little exposure. Therefore, coming to Sky City for a complete acquisition of wizard knowledge is simply impossible.

Green’s journey across the Wizard Continent had one purpose, which was to obtain the Micro-Vision Eye for the sixth phase of the Face of Truth project.

In this area, which belongs to mechanical wizard knowledge, Green simply couldn’t start learning from scratch himself. He had to come personally to the Sky Mechanical Holy Tower to commission a professional mechanical wizard to create a Micro-Vision Eye that meets Green’s standards.

Of course, with such an abundance of Witch Essence at hand, Green’s Shadowspy Falling Star would also undergo refurbishing and upgrading here. Green had already solidly grasped the fundamental knowledge of time-space traversing the Endless Void.

When it comes to microscopes known in the Wizard Continent, they are generally optical microscopes.

The magnification of an optical microscope has a limit, because the Element of Light in the Endless World has a light wave wavelength.

The so-called light wave wavelength exists because light itself appears fragmented and intermittent to the human eye. Thus, optical microscopes have magnification limits, which Green knows to be a maximum of one thousand seven hundred and fifty times.

So, what factors affect the light wave wavelength of microscopes?

Three factors influence light wave wavelength, with the least impact coming from gravity magnetic fields and refraction losses.

Often, wizards observe the microscopic world with microscopes through close-up observations. Thus, such close-up light is less affected by gravity magnetic fields and refraction losses, and can almost be ignored. On the contrary, the all-pervading rainbow spectrum across the Endless Void is completely different.

Next, the most significant influence is Chronos Perception.

One second is divided into eighteen parts, of which ordinary humans can only perceive one part. The remaining seventeen parts are supplemented by humans’ own imagination to form a coherent picture.

However, once trapped in the microscopic world, the closer one approaches the wavelength limit of the Force of Chronos, the more one discovers the ”dark parts,” which are the areas of the light spectrum that ordinary creatures cannot perceive, forming gaps between each segment of the Element of Light wavelength.

Do you think the blind spot is the eighteen parts minus seventeen parts of darkness in the light wave human perception limited by Chronos Perception?

That’s gravely mistaken!

The rainbow light spectrum consists of seven parts: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, with red light having the longest spectrum, which is visible to the human eye.

In truth, aside from the red light and within the violet light, there exists a vast spectrum invisible to the human eye, occupying ninety-nine percent of the total spectrum!

The greatest achievement in the microscope field within the Sky Mechanical Holy Tower is the bio-mechanical microscope. It doesn’t enable low-grade wizards to supplement the light waves apart from Chronos Perception, but it can achieve light spectrum compensation, presenting that ninety-nine percent invisible spectrum in visible light form.

The professional knowledge involved in this field is something Green, as a Slaughter Dark Sorcerer, could never touch, and it’s enough to exhaust a wizard’s lifelong energy in dedicated research.

Just consider...

After such layers of reduction, the light waves perceived by ordinary humans, even when amplified to one thousand seven hundred and fifty times by optical microscopes, still result in perceiving less than one eighteen-hundredths of the real world of light waves.

Even such optical microscopes are available for purchase by Official Sorcerers visiting each Elemental Holy Tower, such as the one in Peranos.

Ordinary people, including First-Level and Second-Level Wizards without Half-step Chronos Perception, make no essential difference in their perception of light waves. Each person’s naked eye can only perceive three-million-one-hundred-fifty-thousandths of the Element of Light that truly manifests.

This speaks to the relationship between truth and illusion.

Having filtered through such deep truth into this world, looking at those ordinary lives on the surface level of perception, don’t you feel a sense of sorrow?

It is no wonder that wizards who pursue the path of Truth Mystery grow ever more cautious and fearful of the truth the stronger they become.

...

”Damn it, these old guys are really something, making such a giant pyramid with Mithsilver!”

Xiao Ba looked ahead at the enormous pyramid, dumbfounded.

Mithsilver, a high-grade synthetic alchemy material composed of over seventy distinctive materials like Mithril, Gold Essence, Titanium Smart Steel No.2, Black Ink, celebrated in Ancient Wizard synthetic materials, embodies self-repair capabilities, near zero-loss energy superconductivity, and the ability to reorganize by spiritual power attachment.

It is even said to be an eternally non-degradable material.

A precious metal that Green once bought on a ”per gram” basis while seeking Annihilation Force-bearing materials now fully covers the surface of the Sky Mechanical Holy Tower of Eternal Sky City!

Green gazed longingly at the pyramid standing tall against the swirling torrents beneath the Sky of Water Curtain, extending tens of thousands of meters across its base, just as incredulous as Xiao Ba.

Here, complex and exquisite mechanical items, bionic mechanical entities, enormous mechanical hulks as large as Space Fortresses, and highly anthropomorphic Mechanical Puppets abound.

However, inside the Sky Mechanical Holy Tower, everything is similar to other Holy Towers.

With white plazas, blue sky vistas, laboratories lining the grounds, numerous Third-Level Great Sorcerers spotted everywhere, Green roughly estimated that the number of Mechanical Wizards in Eternal Sky City likely exceeds those in the Seventh-Ring Holy Tower by over five times and surpasses the Second Ring Holy Tower!

What follows is the expenditure of a vast amount of Witch Essence or other resources by Green to identify a mechanical wizard capable of crafting a Micro-Vision Eye that satisfies Green.

...

One hundred and twenty years later!

Endured with oppressive exhaustion, facing the Sixth-Level Stigmata Wizard, subordinate to the Mechanical True Spirit guarding the Eternal Heart, Green felt the same pressure once brought on by the Black Tower Stigma Sorcerer.

Each True Spirit Subordinate Stigmata Wizard has painful memories of Wizard Tower’s Source of Magic Power being destroyed, or of territories unable to breed sufficient humans to support the Source of Magic Power during the construction of a Wizard Tower.

Facing Green now, this Stigmata Wizard extended a metallic arm.

This mechanical arm material possessed terrifying stretchability akin to Extreme Cold Ice Crystal, and in its palm was a Micro-Vision Eye meeting Green’s perfect condition requirement, ready for installation into the highest-specification Micro-Vision Eye of Wizard World, fused with the Face of Truth.

Additionally, there was a Destiny Contract!

Without hesitation, Green signed the Destiny Contract and integrated the Micro-Vision Eye into the Face of Truth on the spot.

”I hope my prized disciple won’t follow my path. Remember, until you ascend to Stigmata Wizard, if he faces malicious attacks from other Stigmata Wizards trying to destroy the Wizard Tower’s Source of Magic Power, you must ensure its absolute safety. Otherwise, you’ll face the Destiny Contract penalty, losing this mask!”

This Micro-Vision Eye in the sixth phase of the Face of Truth project connects to the Source of Magic Power of the Superconductive Light Sorcerer Tower, namely the disciple of this True Spirit Subordinate Sixth-Level Stigmata Wizard.

One aspect is the critical moment at the Source of Magic Power in the Superconductive Light Sorcerer Tower, where Green can be summoned at any time through the Sorcerer Tower, and on the other hand, the penalty measures, where the destruction of the Source of Magic Power results in the removal of the Face of Truth.

And even if Green exploits some loophole and truly resists the removal of the Face of Truth from the Source of Magic Power, he will suffer the penalties of violating the Destiny Contract.

No one knows the means of the destiny penalty.

But everyone knows anyone facing those penalties will apparently and naturally lose more, and no one dares genuinely attempt to test it.

”I will do my utmost to adhere to the Destiny Contract, mighty Fortress Heart Stigmata Wizard.”

Green lowered his head, speaking with utmost respect and dignity.

According to Green’s investigations, the Superconductive Light Sorcerer Academy has indeed been quite turbulent these past years, but there seem no large-scale academy wars forthcoming. Hopefully, such a situation lasts without sparking a true academy war. (To be continued. If you like this work, you’re welcome to cast your recommendation votes, monthly votes at Qidian ().
