A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 716: Chapter 716: 2nd-Ring Ruins Wizard Currency

Ten days later, Green left the Nine-Headed Fury Wizarding Academy.

Being an Official Sorcerer signifies the starting point of the wizarding path, the beginning of exploring the road of truth and mystery, the commencement of a wizard’s life. After Cappuccino advanced to an Official Sorcerer, she was no longer within Green’s influence; she now had her own independent life journey.

Cappuccino plans to serve as an academy mentor at the Nine-Headed Fury Wizarding Academy for a period, and then decide whether to head to the Holy Towers to become a Demon-Hunting Sorcerer.

However, according to Green’s suggestion, it would be best for Cappuccino to use her advantage as an Innate Wizard World Guardian to travel internally within the Wizard World, consolidate herself, and then embark on the path of a Demon-Hunting Sorcerer for training.

To travel to Sky City and supplement the sixth phase of the Face of Truth project, the Micro-Vision Eye, Green’s chosen route passes through the Second Ring Holy Tower.

As Green knows, the Two Rings True Spirit Sorcerer, in fact, is just like the Six Rings True Spirit Sorcerer and the Seven Rings True Spirit Sorcerer, a True Spirit Sorcerer who ascended after the ancient battle. It was just that because the previous generation of Two Rings True Spirit Sorcerer fell during the war of civilizations, the first to ascend of this generation of Two Rings True Spirit Sorcerers took over.

And the True Spirit Dedication of the two-ring sorcerers is... Wizard Currency!

Wizard Currency is one of the basic rules of the Wizarding Alliance, representing a more advanced and subtle method of plundering by wizard civilization. It uses the deterrence of True Spirit Sorcerers and Space Fortress Demon Hunting Legion armaments to plunder resources through Wizard Currency. This is the rule by which the Wizard World established the Wizarding Alliance to conduct peaceful expansion.

Of course, this so-called peace is only relative to the brutal slave system of the Ancient Wizards.

Even with some understanding of the Wizard Continent, when Green, Xiao Ba, the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab, and the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird took four full years to travel from the Six-Ring Holy Tower to the Two-Ring Holy Tower, the grand scale of Wizard World still profoundly changed Green’s understanding of it as a vast world capable of accommodating the Endless Dominators.

No wonder in ancient times, so many True Spirit Wizards and strong foreign entities summoned by the Wizard World fought against the name of the abyssal world, only creating True Spirit Craters in the Wizard World, without breaking it apart.

This vast and boundless Wizard Continent is only a part of the Wizard World, which hints at the carrying capacity of the Wizard World.

And in such an infinite expanse, Antonio used himself as a fulcrum to lever away from the coordinates of the Endless World with the Lever of Destiny. Such supreme power is truly incredible to Green at present!

Describing Antonio as the closest to the perfect ideal of life contemplated by the ancestor of humans couldn’t be more fitting. Unfortunately, the ultimate carrying capacity of the Endless World is only the Eighth Grade Wizard...

The closer to the perfect ideal of life, the more despair one feels, which is the cruel and ruthless balance rule of the Endless World.

”Caw caw caw, young master, you must try the twin spirit fruits here. The extreme temperature differences and ample sunlight of the Second Ring Holy Tower make this place’s specialty twin spirit fruits indescribably delicious. I remember Master Eight sneaked one three-thousand-year-old twin spirit fruit while that stinky bat wasn’t looking, and oh boy, caw caw caw caw, it was amazing...”

Xiao Ba drooled as he spoke.

Now was summer, the time when the temperatures in the Two-Ring Holy Tower reach extremely high. The heat doesn’t bother sorcerers, but for ordinary human residents, they can only hide indoors or beneath the unique cloud shades of the Two-Ring Holy Tower to cool down.

Summoning the will of the Wizard World, Green did not go through the checkpoint but entered the range of the Two Rings Holy Tower Ruined City through the giant Defense Shield aboard the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab.

This so-called Ruined City was an iron city formed when the original Sky City of the mechanical wizards fell during the governance war between the early mechanical and Dark Sorcerers against the Sea Tribe in the Ancient Period.

Later, the last generation of the Two Rings True Spirit Sorcerers made this place a coordinate to connect Sky City with the Holy Towers within the Wizard World. With the abolition of the Sky City rule after the Second Civilizational War, only the Holy Tower Rules remained, and were inherited by the current generation of Two Rings True Spirit Sorcerers.

Everywhere on the ground were metal buildings, looking gray and dull, somewhat unfamiliar.

Perhaps to keep the same tune as the historical monuments, the later new constructions in the Two Rings Ruined City also adopted the same construction techniques as the Ancient Mechanical Wizards. As a result, the whole city looks gray, lacking both the charm of the small stone paths beneath the Seven-Ring Holy Tower Tree of Life and the unique allure of the Six-Ring Tortoise Shell.

Here, only relics of ancient history remain, reminding the Demon-Hunting Sorcerers living here that humanity was just one step away from becoming history during the ancient struggle for supremacy.

The Mechanical Wizards lost, and it was the Dark Sorcerers who saved ancient humanity, plunging the Sea Tribe into the nightmare abyss, making them taste the despair and fear brought by the sorcerers.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab and the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird landed, and the immense shadow caused a hush among two groups of Chamber of Commerce Sorcerers below, all looking towards the suddenly arriving Great Witch Hunter with a First-Level Honor Medal.

”What’s happening? This isn’t a food store, so why are there Chamber of Commerce people gathered here?”

Green wondered but didn’t bother to pay attention to these First- and Second-Level Sorcerers.

This was a gourmet shop resembling a huge bread tree, where a plump sorcerer, leading a dozen exotic slaves, warmly welcomed Green. Standing on Green’s shoulder, Xiao Ba shouted, ”A salad of the three-thousand-year-old twin spirit fruit, two servings of Ice Flame Caviar, two portions of refreshing silk noodles, and the Boiling Water Great Frog in phosphate water...”

It seemed Xiao Ba had long thought over what ingredients to order here, rattling off a list of names in one go. Not only the plump sorcerer welcoming Green but also the two groups of Chamber of Commerce Sorcerers were stupefied.

”This...”

The plump sorcerer, after Xiao Ba placed the order, couldn’t help but twitch his eyelids, sweating on his forehead, ”To be honest with you two, this...”

”Just call me Master Eight.”

Xiao Ba waved his wing nonchalantly.

”Uh, to be honest with you two, many of the ingredients Master Eight ordered have long been extinct. Now, not to mention three-thousand-year-old twin spirit fruits, even the store’s recently acquired one-thousand-year-old twin spirit fruit is being fought over by these two groups of sorcerers. As you can see...”

Xiao Ba jumped up.

”What? By this age, what’s extinct is extinct! Damn it, if we don’t eat it soon, it’ll be too late. They’re still fighting over it, haven’t they seen my young master here!?”

Xiao Ba clamored, almost like an angry rooster, staring fiercely at the two groups of Chamber of Commerce Sorcerers.

Having heard all along about the twin spirit fruit’s incredible effects, Green was also very interested in this unique ingredient of the two-ring Holy Tower. Upon hearing that these twin spirit fruits were becoming extinct, he pondered for a moment before letting out a cold snort, gazing coldly out of the Face of Truth at the two groups of Chamber of Commerce Sorcerers outside the door.

The overwhelming pressure of a Third-Level Great Sorcerer was released recklessly, even sitting there, most of the Chamber of Commerce’s attendees were only First-Level Sorcerers, with only the leaders being Second-Level Sorcerers. Their faces all changed, and ultimately, no one dared to say anything, quickly dispersing.

It wasn’t that they worried this Great Sorcerer within the Two Rings Holy Tower would dare to take action; it’s just that no Chamber of Commerce would choose to oppose a Great Witch Hunter, especially when he possessed a First-Level Honor Medal.

Half an hourglass later, Green finally got to taste the thousand-year-old twin spirit fruit and many unique foods of the Two Rings Holy Tower.

”Caw caw caw, young master, after tasting the millennial twin spirit fruit for the first time, you surely experienced some effects, right?”

After a satisfying burp, a wisp of black smoke escaped from Green’s mouth, followed by an uncontrollable itchy sensation on his skin, with some grain-like saltiness secreted from his skin.
