Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 732: Chapter 381: Geeta: Tell Me Your Wish_3

Rika sighed helplessly.

Their boss is really on a roll...

*

Grusha and Lono left the ranch and returned to their respective Gyms to continue working.

Life went on as if nothing had changed.

But Naoki found that Cyclizar had become more clingy.

After Cyclizar ran over for the thirty-eighth time to lick him, Naoki couldn’t hold back any longer.

”Don’t learn bad habits from Koraidon!”

”Gaa...”, Cyclizar looked pitifully.

Koraidon, on the other hand, looked innocent: ”Ah, gaa!”

It really hadn’t done anything! Well... not completely nothing, since everything Cyclizar was doing, Koraidon had done before.

Thinking of this, Koraidon immediately turned its head guiltily, showed its back to Naoki, closed its eyes, and pretended to nap.

Naoki: ”...”

He saw right through Koraidon’s guilty conscience, thinking Cyclizar must have learned its licking move from Koraidon!

”Cyclizar, get ready to battle!” Naoki said.

Cyclizar looked bewildered, battle what?

It quickly turned its head to look around but didn’t seem to spot any enemies.

Koraidon was also awakened by the sound and raised its head to observe the surroundings.

Naoki gave Cyclizar a command: ”Use Lick on Koraidon!”

”Gaa?!” Cyclizar looked incredulous.

It looked at Koraidon, and Koraidon was looking at it.

The two Pokemon looked at each other, eyes full of disdain.

Cyclizar didn’t want to lick Koraidon, so it cried out and turned to run away.

It ran to a shaded spot and lay there leisurely.

Being close to Naoki was so nice!

Cyclizar felt immensely grateful to the human named Lono.

Naoki watched Cyclizar run away and fell into deep thought.

Koraidon stretched lazily and seeing Naoki staring at Cyclizar, it couldn’t help but ask: ”Ah, gaa?”

Naoki pondered, ”Have you noticed Cyclizar has gotten mischievous recently?”

Could Pokemon have a rebellious phase?

No, Cyclizar doesn’t look like it’s going through a rebellious phase.

Instead, it seems more like a human child growing from an innocent and cute young age into a mischievous adolescence.

Hearing this, Koraidon immediately understood the situation.

”Ah, gaa...”

At this time, it might just be trying to catch Naoki’s attention and play with him?

At that moment, the videophone in the corner of the living room rang.

Naoki turned and walked over for a glance.

It was Geeta calling.

Pressing the answer button, Geeta’s face appeared on the screen.

With a satisfied smile, she started with: ”You did well, Naoki!”

Naoki was a bit puzzled: ”What?”

Geeta: ”I’ve already heard from Lono and Grusha. You had Calyrex help Grusha heal his leg injury, resolved his personal issues, and strengthened the Glaseado Gym.”

”I’m very happy you’re willing to help him. Tell me, what reward do you want? I can offer you a gift on behalf of the Paldea League, as a token for hosting these Gym Leaders.”

Naoki: ”...”

What? He hadn’t even considered a reward for helping Grusha!

However, Geeta encouraged: ”Come on, speak up about the reward you want, Pokemon, training tools, evolution stones, or anything else. If the Paldea League doesn’t have it, I can also give you my personal items.”
