Not Being a Trainer This Time

”This ranch has really developed! It’s hard to believe that it’s been less than two years, and it looks completely different now!”

Naoki smiled, ”Thanks to the Pokemon’s helping hand.”

Upon hearing this, Koraidon and Cyclizar, who were helping Naoki move things, showed happy smiles on their faces.

”Ar-ghiss~”

”Gao~”

”Haha! Koraidon and Cyclizar are really capable!” Zack laughed heartily and, looking around, continued, ”You’re not young anymore; it’s time to find a wife and get married. Once married, you can manage the ranch together, and life will only get better and better.”

Naoki: ”...” Is Zack urging me to get married?

He reluctantly said, ”It’s still too early.”

”It’s not early anymore!” Zack suddenly started gossiping, ”Hehe, do you have someone you like?”

”No way...” Naoki shook his head. Though people in the Pokemon World are good-looking, it’s all about the feeling.

Since he crossed over, the number of women he chatted with hasn’t even exceeded ten fingers.

Keri counts as one, Mrs. Dante counts as one, Geeta counts as one, Professor Sada counts as one.

But Keri’s not suitable, the Chief’s not suitable, Mrs. Dante and Professor Sada, even more so.

Oh no, almost forgot one person!

A figure of Lono flashed in Naoki’s mind.

That vibrant girl.

The girl he met by chance in Levincia City and enthusiastically took him to a Chinese restaurant to enjoy some delicious food.

But... Lono’s not suitable either.

”Do you want me to introduce you to someone?” Upon hearing Naoki didn’t have anyone he liked, Zack’s eyes lit up instantly, ”A friend of mine has a daughter, she’s also a trainer. If you feel it’s okay, I can introduce you, and you can try a date.”

”...”

Naoki was shocked inside. Oh my, even in this world, there’s such a thing as dating!

Feeling inexplicable fear over this, he waved his hands repeatedly, ”No need, no need, I’m not in a rush, I’m not in a rush.”

”Alright then.” Zack could only drop the idea, ”If you decide in the future, you can tell me. I’m sure your grandfather would love to see you start a family.”

Naoki: ”…Okay.”

Zack smiled, stepped forward to load the goods onto the truck, handed the money to Naoki, and then drove away from the ranch.

Watching the truck go far into the distance, Naoki turned around and went home.

He glanced at the calendar on the wall; today was already June 28, and the summer fireworks festival would be held the day after tomorrow.

While calculating in his mind to take Ogerpon and Umbreon to watch the fireworks then, Naoki began preparing dinner for the Pokemon at home.

The next morning, the sky was bright.

Naoki was milking the Gogoat when he saw his sister, Indeedee, rushing over in a panic.

”In-dee!”

Naoki was slightly taken aback, thought there might be something urgent, promptly stopping his work, and asked, ”What’s going on? What happened?”

His sister, Indeedee, pointed to the entrance of the ranch; Naoki got up and took her over to take a look.

Then, there, he saw a pretty girl with long blue hair and icy blue eyes who had somehow arrived at the ranch.

The ”girl” was initially looking at the Dragonite on the grass, and upon hearing the commotion here, gently turned her head around.

In the next moment, Naoki met those icy blue eyes.

He heard the ”girl” begin to speak:

”Hello, I’m Grusha, the Gym Leader of Glaseado Gym, sent by the Chief for special training at this place.”
