Not Being a Trainer This Time

As Grusha gazed at the special Pawmot before him, his mouth fell open in surprise.

A flying Pawmot? What’s going on here?

And what’s that hammer it’s holding? Is it Pawmot’s weapon?

But is a normal Pawmot supposed to look like this? No, right?

At this moment, countless questions arose in Grusha’s mind.

He could no longer hold back and asked, ”How does this Pawmot do it?”

”Of course, it’s like the electromagnetic levitation of Magnemite.” Naoki spouted nonsense seriously, ”It’s the interaction between electromagnetic fields generated by electromagnetic induction, enabling the object to levitate. Electric Type Pokemon can naturally control electricity, and Pawmot has been receiving specialized training.”

Grusha: ”???”

”I lost to Pawmot last time!” Lono, who had already witnessed Pawmot’s prowess, shifted her tone and said with determination, ”But this time, I’ve professionally trained my Pokemon, and we’ll definitely pass!”

Naoki: ”...”

He didn’t reveal the fact that Pawmot had gained the King’s Power, but instead introduced the next trial.

”Next is the Storm Trial led by Dragonite, where challengers must face special weather conditions during a storm and defeat Dragonite within it.”

Upon hearing this, Grusha nodded, indicating he understood.

Naoki smiled and then turned his gaze to Koraidon and Flutter Mane.

”Next, I’ll introduce the ultimate hidden trial on the ranch! The ancient double battle!”

”Challengers need to face attacks from those two Pokemon simultaneously. This is the most challenging trial on the ranch, and only trainers who have reached Champion Level can have the qualifications to challenge it!”

Upon hearing this, Grusha and Lono both froze slightly.

Only trainers who have reached Champion Level can challenge? Sounds impressive! Lono’s eyes lit up.

While Grusha looked at the two unfamiliar Pokemon, he was equally astonished.

No wonder the chief sent them to this small ranch for the trial...

What surprised Grusha even more was that such a powerful Champion Level trainer was hidden away in this place.

”Have you decided? Which trial do you want to challenge?” Naoki asked.

Grusha fell into thought.

Meanwhile, Lono raised her hand first: ”Thunder Trial, hehe, this time we’ll definitely pass!”

”That’s not necessarily guaranteed!” Naoki took Pawmot to the battle ground.

Grusha hadn’t made his decision yet, so he watched the match from the sidelines.

For this match, Naoki didn’t participate in directing, leaving Pawmot to utilize its abilities on its own.

Lono stood at the other end of the battle ground, pulling out a red-and-white ball. As a white light flashed, a Kilowattrel appeared on the battlefield.

Her brother Indeedee blew the whistle he held, officially starting the match.

Lono opened with Tailwind, establishing a favorable advantage for her side.

Pawmot swung its small hammer, charging at Kilowattrel, who flapped its wings and unleashed a Hurricane.

The fierce wind surged wildly, blade-like air currents slashing toward Pawmot.

Pawmot’s forward steps were thwarted. Seeing this, Lono directly ordered Kilowattrel to pursue.

”Discharge!”

With the command, Kilowattrel erupted with a powerful current.

Its ability ”Wind Power” was activated with the aid of Tailwind, putting Kilowattrel in a Charge mode.

From its center, it unleashed a vast spread of yellow lightning.

Pawmot’s figure was instantly engulfed.

All the while, Lono took a quick glance at Naoki, ”Hehehe, see the real skills of Lono!”

”Being distracted during a battle isn’t a good habit!” Naoki reminded her helplessly.

At this point, Grusha, watching the match, realized something was wrong.

No, something’s off! That Pawmot is absorbing Kilowattrel’s electricity!

On the battlefield, the intense currents began to frantically pour into Pawmot’s hammer and body.

Amid the spark, Pawmot’s eyes emitted a blue glow.

Bright glimmers coursed over its body, and suddenly a golden helmet and armor appeared out of thin air!

Seeing this, Lono panicked, ”Huh? What’s that?”

Grusha was visibly shocked.

The Pawmot, in the form of King of Hammers, raised its hammer high.

The originally tiny hammer suddenly expanded at a visible rate.

Pawmot swung the giant hammer, charging forward, to strike Kilowattrel.

The hammer’s coverage was too large for Kilowattrel to evade, ultimately smashing to the ground, it lost its ability to battle with its eyes rolled back.

”Ah... lost again...”

Lono’s face was filled with despair, and sensing the trainer’s mood, the two little Magnemite above her head began to spin in circles abnormally.

The light around Pawmot flickered, returning to its normal form.

Naoki went forward and fed Life Sheep Milk to Kilowattrel, and it soon revived.

A sheepish Pawmot flew forward. The Electric Type Energy had been too overwhelming, stimulating it beyond control, instinctively using the King’s Power to defend.
