Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 727: Chapter 380: Koraidon, Cyclizar, and Lono

Looking at the mysterious glow emanating from the grassy terrain in front of him, Grusha slowly took out a Poke Ball from his waist.

Pressing the button, the red and white ball, originally shrunk to the size of a marble, began to enlarge immediately.

A beam of white light shot out from it, and a large-sized Pokemon with a massive body, filled with strong muscles, appeared opposite Gogoat.

This was Cetitan, an Ice Type Pokemon that dwells atop snowy mountains.

The battle officially began.

”Cetitan, use Ice Spinner!”

At Grusha’s command, Cetitan’s snow-white body started to spin rapidly, covered in a layer of thin ice, and charged towards Gogoat.

Where Ice Spinner passed, the grassy terrain on the ground was destroyed by the cold hard ice.

Trying to use Ice Spinner to destroy the grassy terrain?

Naoki saw through Grusha’s plan, but it’s not that easy!

”Gogoat, use Vine Whip!” Naoki calmly issued the command.

”Baaah!”

With a sheep-like cry, two thick Vine Whips flew out from Gogoat’s body, resembling giant pythons, and went straight towards the spinning Cetitan, aiming to strike.

Before the Vine Whip, Cetitan’s body resembled a spinning top, starting to turn on the spot when struck.

Witnessing this, Grusha couldn’t help but look shocked.

That move... is it Vine Whip?

No! How can there be such thick Vine Whips!

But suddenly, Grusha noticed something terrifying.

The half of the grassy terrain originally destroyed by Ice Spinner astonishingly gathered again!

”What on earth is happening?” Grusha exclaimed in disbelief, everything before him exceeded his comprehension.

Meanwhile, Cetitan, treated like a spinning top, stopped dizzying, eyes spinning like mosquito coils, and eventually couldn’t handle the dizziness, falling to the ground.

”Hold on!” Grusha shouted, trying to suppress the strange feeling in his heart.

As soon as the words fell, Grusha sensed something amiss.

Because the grassy terrain didn’t restore Cetitan’s stamina!

Before he could figure it out, he heard Naoki give another command:

”Gogoat, use your best move!”

”Baaah!”

Gogoat responded with full combat spirit.

Grusha was slightly stunned.

In the next moment, he saw Gogoat slightly bent over, green light swirling in its mouth, ultimately morphing into a giant grass blade.

Grusha’s pupils contracted.

With the grass blade clenched between its teeth, Gogoat charged like an arrow released from a bowstring.

In a flash of white light, the still-dizzy Cetitan was hit in a critical spot and collapsed to the ground with a thud.

And Gogoat stopped not far behind Cetitan.

Its posture and expression looked incredibly suave and confident.

Cetitan lost the ability to battle...

Grusha stood frozen in disbelief.

Watching Lono, shocked, eyes wide and mouth agape: ”Wow!”

”Unfortunately, you didn’t pass the Grass Trial,” Naoki said.

Grusha remained silent, completely stunned by what had just occurred.

Indeedee brought Life Sheep Milk, treating Cetitan’s injuries.

Grusha was unable to snap out of it for a long time.

He had too many questions lingering.

Wondering about the move used by Gogoat, why the grassy terrain didn’t affect Cetitan, why the destroyed grassy terrain swiftly restored.

In the end, unable to contain his curiosity, Grusha asked.

Naoki answered each question.

”That move is Leaf Blade, just a special version of it, inspired by a Pokemon named Zacian.”

”As for the other two questions, it’s because Gogoat’s mastery over Grass Energy has reached a level that ordinary Pokemon cannot achieve.”

”It can precisely control the surrounding Grass Type Energy, making it effective only for itself, and similarly, Gogoat can release endless Grass Energy to restore the grassy terrain destroyed by Ice Spinner.”

After all, the three Gogoats in his home grew up eating leaves from the World Tree! Achieving all this is hardly surprising.

Hearing these words, Grusha gazed at the three Gogoats with fascination.

At this moment, he finally understood why the chief wanted Gym Leaders like them to come to this ranch for special training...

Those three Gogoats are true Champion Level Pokemon.

Battling and exchanging skills with Champion Level Pokemon would indeed be greatly beneficial for Gym Leaders like them.

”How amazing!” Lono’s eyes glimmered with admiration. ”Naoki, how do you usually train these Pokemon?”

”Hmm? How do I train them...” Naoki looked at Lono and chuckled: ”Just integrate training into everyday life, since living itself is a form of practice.”

”Living itself is a form of practice...” Grusha mumbled.

Naoki nodded and explained: ”Integrate special training into daily life, such as letting Dragonite use Rain Dance to water the plants every day.”

”One time or two may not show results, but after a thousand times, ten thousand times, its proficiency in the move will reach a perfect level, capable of instantly using Rain Dance to change the weather, gaining an advantage in battles.”
