Chapter 549: Chapter 313: Coffee and Flutter Mane (4000)_2

Naoki let out a cry of surprise, quickly maintaining his strange posture as he dashed out with the flower pot, and then placed the coffee tree in a corner of the Glass Greenhouse.

Naoki glanced at these coffee fruits.

[Coffee Fruit: The fruit inside can be used to make coffee.]

Next step is to extract the coffee beans from these fruits, and then engage in fermentation, shelling, washing, drying, roasting, and finally grinding them into powder to make coffee!

This whole process took Naoki nearly a week, and only after everything was completed did he start on the last step—brewing.

Reaching out to take the cup handed over by his sister Indeedee, he added coffee powder and hot water to the cup and began brewing.

”I wonder if the coffee I made will have the effect of refreshing the mind...” Naoki murmured to himself while waiting.

Soon, a cup of coffee was brewed.

Naoki immediately checked the effects of this coffee with impatience.

[Coffee (B-): Brewed with freshly ground coffee powder.

Beverage Effect: Sleeplessness lv2, after drinking, the consumer will not be able to fall asleep, duration: 6 hours.

Review: A magical drink that allows people to focus on something; if you feel sleepy, drink a cup! It can keep you fully focused at work.]

It’s useful for Flutter Mane!

Naoki felt delighted inside; now he finally had a way to help Flutter Mane adjust its schedule!

Thinking this, Naoki happily turned his head to look at Flutter Mane, who was sleeping soundly on a cushion.

He walked over with the coffee, woke Flutter Mane up, and asked, ”Flutter Mane, do you want to play with everyone?”

Flutter Mane was still groggy from sleep, and upon seeing Naoki, it relaxed and let out a yawn.

Play with everyone? Although it wanted to, by the time it woke up, everyone was already asleep!

Flutter Mane zoned out, not understanding Naoki’s point, and nodded confusedly.

”Then let’s have a drink of this!” Naoki supported Flutter Mane, feeding it the cup of coffee.

Feeling the bitterness in its mouth, Flutter Mane immediately widened its eyes, dispelling its sleepiness, and began retching on the side.

Naoki: ”...”

Koraidon, witnessing the scene: ”...”

Only after expelling all the bitter taste from its mouth did Flutter Mane breathe a sigh of relief, levitating in mid-air, panting heavily.

At this moment, Flutter Mane finally awoke completely, looking around in bewilderment, unsure of what had happened.

Naoki asked, ”Do you still want to sleep?”

Flutter Mane carefully sensed its state and realized it didn’t feel a bit sleepy!

Seeing this, Naoki knew the answer.

Seems like the coffee’s effect is quite significant!

”Alright, now you can go play with everyone! Koraidon, take Flutter Mane out to play!”

Playing with other Pokemon will surely help Flutter Mane adapt to this era more quickly, getting used to life on the ranch.

Always wandering alone at night without interacting with other Pokemon, it would only grow lonelier.

Receiving the instruction, Koraidon happily took the sleepless Flutter Mane outside to play.

Meanwhile, Naoki began cleaning up the spot where Flutter Mane had vomited the coffee.

”Maybe I should add some milk and sugar to it,” Naoki thought, ”this way, it shouldn’t be so bitter.”

After cleaning the floor, he went outside, watching Flutter Mane levitate in mid-air as it observed Alcremie and the others playing below, Naoki nodded in satisfaction.

The first step for Flutter Mane to adapt to modern times had finally been taken!

The coffee lasted only six hours; to help Flutter Mane adjust its schedule, Naoki stayed by its side all day without going anywhere.

The six hours passed, and he immediately brought over the next cup of coffee with milk and sugar.

Flutter Mane tried it again and still vomited it out.

It was evident that it really disliked that taste.

Naoki could only helplessly plead: ”Please, Flutter Mane, just endure this for one day; once today is over, it’ll be better!”

Flutter Mane watched him for a while, and only when Naoki added a hefty spoonful of sugar did it reluctantly drink it.

After a chaotic day, the day finally ended.

At seven in the evening, after dinner, the coffee’s effect finally dissipated, and the energetic Flutter Mane immediately fell into a deep sleep.

Naoki breathed a sigh of relief; this way, there shouldn’t be any problem, right?

In the deep of night, Naoki woke up to check and found Flutter Mane was still asleep, which allowed him to breathe a long sigh of relief inside, turning back to the room to sleep peacefully.

Flutter Mane slept for a long time; when it opened its eyes again, it saw Naoki sitting not far away, looking at it.

Seeing Flutter Mane wake up, Naoki greeted it with a smile, ”Good morning, Flutter Mane!”

Flutter Mane looked around, appearing somewhat puzzled but didn’t say much.

Just then, Glaceon chased Alcremie past its eyes.

The reason was that while Glaceon was sleeping, Alcremie used Decorate on it, spreading cream to make its face look like a calico cat.
