Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 502: Chapter 291: Abundant Shrine, Mysterious Visitor from Afar

Leon? Coming to Paldea? Naoki was quite surprised, could he have gotten lost?

”Why are you suddenly asking about these things?” Geeta asked.

Naoki gave the excuse he had prepared in advance: ”Because I heard from a Trainer passing by the ranch that the Champions from other regions are all very strong.”

Hearing this, Geeta became interested: ”You want to battle them?”

Naoki: ”...No, I’m just a rancher, I don’t have their kind of strength.”

Geeta thought to herself, not believing it for a second, ”You’re the Trainer who even managed to capture the legendary The King of Bountiful Harvests!”

At this moment, Geeta suddenly remembered something and said, ”It might be possible with other Champions, but not with Alder.”

”Hmm?” Naoki was puzzled and asked, ”What’s going on with Mr. Alder?”

Geeta: ”Alder’s main Pokemon, Volcarona, got injured in an accident and is beyond even the Pokemon Center’s ability to heal. Alder currently has no heart for battling and rarely deals with Pokemon League matters. I’ve heard that the affairs of the Pokemon League there are now handled by the Elite Four.”

Speaking up to this point, Geeta sighed with regret: ”It’s a pity for such talent to disappear just like that.”

”I see...” Naoki nodded thoughtfully, but he was a bit curious about why Geeta knew so much about the Unova League.

Geeta seemed to notice his thoughts and smiled as she explained:

”Because of the academy’s establishment, in recent years, the Paldea League has established connections with the Unova League.”

”Not long ago, they established the sister school Blueberry Academy of Orange Academy and Naranja Academy over the ocean. Every year, the two schools send exchange students to each other’s academies for study!”

Naoki was stunned upon hearing this.

Is there such a thing? Why hadn’t he heard about it?

At this moment, other voices came through from Geeta’s side.

Geeta responded and then said to Naoki: ”Alright, there are some matters in the business department that I need to handle. I’ll contact you if I have time later!”

Having obtained the information he needed, Naoki thanked Geeta: ”Thank you very much for telling me all this.”

Geeta smiled slightly, she was about to hang up the call when she suddenly remembered something:

”Oh, by the way, regarding Calyrex using its great power to restore the ecology around Porto Marinada Town, the Paldea League is fully aware.”

”To express gratitude and commemorate the deeds of Calyrex, the Paldea League has decided to build an Abundant Shrine in its honor. The person responsible for this task should arrive at your location soon, and she will handle it.”

An Abundant Shrine?

Naoki was taken aback, watching as Geeta hung up the phone, feeling completely bewildered.

At the same time, deep within the Paldea Giant Pit, inside the Area Zero Research Institute.

The Time Machine was still operating, continuously transmitting Pokemon from distant ancient times and the future to the present.

However, not every moment would a Paradox Pokemon be transported here.

Only those Paradox Pokemon that meet the conditions and satisfy the transfer requirements are transported over.

For example, those who are at the same location as the Time Machine and exhibit curiosity about its activities, responding to its call.

At this moment, within the large structure housing the Time Machine, a dense white light flashed, and a Pokemon with long hair, resembling a large Misdreavus, was leisurely flying in mid-air inside the Time Machine.

Below, Professor Sada and Professor Turo looked at the Pokemon, its name immediately coming to their minds.

It’s the Paradox Pokemon known as Flutter Mane documented in the ”Book of Scarlet and Violet”!

”Be careful, Flutter Mane is highly aggressive and combative!” Professor Turo first warned.

Professor Sada nodded calmly, having plenty of experience dealing with such situations.

——If a Paradox Pokemon shows an intention to attack, they would forcibly use a Poke Ball to capture it, then seal the Poke Ball, trapping the Pokemon inside.

However, that Flutter Mane seemed to have no intention of attacking.

It just floated calmly in mid-air, watching the two below with its calm, blood-red eyes.

Seeing this, Professor Sada hesitated slightly in her action to throw the Poke Ball.

The next second, Flutter Mane’s figure gradually faded into the shadows and vanished from its original spot.

”It’s gone?!” Professor Sada felt a sudden tightness in her heart.

Professor Turo also took out a Poke Ball, preparing for a contingency, should Flutter Mane launch a surprise attack from the shadows.

But they waited a long time without any sign of Flutter Mane taking action.

Seeing this, Professor Turo instantly made a judgment: ”It escaped!”

”Is there such a thing...” Professor Sada was a bit surprised, as they had never encountered such a situation before.

Fortunately, there were no researchers in the large building housing the Time Machine, so even if Flutter Mane ran out, it wouldn’t harm anyone.

And for the fleeing Flutter Mane, there’s only one destination—to go to the upper layers of the Paldea Giant Pit and integrate into the ecosystem there.

”What a shame to lose such a rare, calm-natured ancient Paradox Species Pokemon.” Professor Sada felt a deep sense of regret.
