Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 542: Chapter 311: Zapdos’s Plan (Double Episode)

Although they hadn’t eaten the Translation Nuts Cake, based on Naoki’s understanding of Teddiursa, this little Bear-type Pokemon must be introducing the good friends it made outside.

Good friends...

Such as the nearly two-meter-tall Zapdos behind it, the legendary Thunder God, said to build its nest in the depths of dark thunderclouds and control thunder and lightning at will.

Although this might not be the Thunder God, its rarity far surpasses those ordinary Pokemon by the roadside!

And such a Pokemon was actually invited over by Mew and Teddiursa! Naoki was shocked inside.

He initially thought it would take Teddiursa and Mew a long time to invite the Pokemon friends they made, but didn’t expect them to take action so soon!

But now there’s another problem, the World Tree hasn’t fully grown yet!

Seeing Naoki standing there in a daze, Teddiursa’s little face showed a puzzled expression: ”Hmm?”

Naoki snapped out of it, looked at this Zapdos, and greeted it:

”Hello, Zapdos, welcome to the ranch, I am Teddiursa’s trainer, Naoki.”

Zapdos stared sharply at the human in front of it.

Just like the humans it had seen in the power plant, a head and four legs.

However, unlike those humans who immediately wanted to battle it.

This human seemed in no rush to trap it in a Poke Ball.

In fact, on the way here, Mew and Teddiursa had introduced the ranch to it in detail.

The content included the Pokemon living in the ranch, the delicious foods everyone liked to eat, and playing games together in the ranch.

Besides that, they talked the most about this human named Naoki.

Teddiursa said Naoki would make various Poffins and sweets for them and bring back toys and gifts from town during festivals.

What’s more, Naoki would kindly prepare beds, arrange nests, and wouldn’t always capture Pokemon in Poke Balls. He was the best human in the world.

At first, Zapdos was skeptical, thinking, how could such a person exist in the world?

Don’t all humans want to capture it and then send it to battle other humans?

However, now, Zapdos somewhat believed it.

Because it found that many Pokemon indeed lived here.

They weren’t trapped in Poke Balls, nor were they fighting others, but happily chasing and playing on the grassland or flying amid the flowers.

Seeing its arrival, those Pokemon also cast cheerful glances over and approached, curiously watching.

Naoki felt a bit embarrassed being stared at by Zapdos.

He coughed lightly, turned his head to Mew and Teddiursa, and helplessly said to them, ”The World Tree can’t accommodate Pokemon yet!”

Today is February 11th, 199 in League calendar, and till now, Calyrex has only helped grow the World Tree three times.

Although the current World Tree has grown much compared to the beginning, it’s barely more than three meters tall, close to four meters, and can’t accommodate Pokemon yet.

”Miu?” Mew tilted its head, somewhat puzzled.

Thus, Naoki took everyone to the World Tree.

The green canopy covered the sky, blocking out the sunlight overhead, casting dappled shadows on the grass.

A gentle breeze brushed by, and the leaves on the tree swayed lightly. Under the golden warm sunlight, each leaf emitted a shimmering green glow, vibrant with life force.

Seeing the World Tree, Mew and Teddiursa immediately happily introduced to Zapdos: ”Hmm!” (This is the World Tree!)

Gazing at this ”little tree”, Zapdos showed a look of astonishment on its face.

In this state, can it really live on it?

That trunk, not even as thick as its leg, would surely break if it stepped on it, right?

Zapdos was full of doubt.

Seeing this, Mew appeared a bit embarrassed: ”Miu!” (Although it can’t be lived in now, the World Tree will grow one day!)

Teddiursa: ”Hmm!” (That’s right! Naoki knows how long it will take to grow!)

Saying that, the two Pokemon turned their heads simultaneously, looking at Naoki.

Right?

Naoki: ”...”

He calculated the time in his heart and found that today just happened to be Calyrex’s Tree Nurturing Day.

Therefore, Naoki planned to let Zapdos witness the growth of the World Tree firsthand.

In the afternoon, after lunch, when everything was ready.

All the Pokemon on the ranch gathered by the World Tree, surrounding it in the middle.

Calyrex floated in mid-air, faced with the World Tree before it, energy surging from its body, and it raised its arms to activate its power.

In the next second, an unprecedentedly strong energy surged out like a tide, all infusing into the trunk of the World Tree.

A blinding light instantly enveloped the entire World Tree.

Within this light, the trunk of the World Tree immediately began to grow taller at a speed visible to the naked eye.

”Boom boom boom!”

At this moment, the ground seemed to tremble slightly, and a strange humming sound came from all directions.

Naoki’s eyes were fixed on the World Tree, observing its changes.

[World Tree (infant stage): The sprout that has absorbed a large amount of the Power of Grass, because of Gogoat, has undergone a mutation during growth, with abundant life force brewing within, eventually breaking ground, it is said to support a world, nurturing all things with Natural Energy, it still needs 91,220 years to mature.]
