Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 531: Chapter 305: Special Potato Stew, Leon Is Riding Over (4k)_3

Naoki was observing Giratina, wanting to test the ability of his Golden Right Hand on it.

He contemplated how he could naturally place his hand on Giratina’s forehead.

Perhaps a trip and fall? Then pretend to ”accidentally” put his hand on its forehead?

No, that would be too stupid.

At this moment, Giratina noticed his gaze and gruffly asked, ”Human, what are you doing?”

Naoki couldn’t think of a better plan, so he honestly revealed his ability:

”... To be frank, I’ve just learned a new move that can calm irrational Pokemon, so I wanted to ask you for a favor.”

As an ancient creature existing for a long time in this world, Giratina’s temper wasn’t great, but it was a clever dragon.

It instantly understood the meaning behind Naoki’s words; it initially thought of getting angry about being used as an experiment and teaching him a lesson.

But after thinking it over, the reason it could sleep peacefully in this wonderful place was all thanks to this human.

Even though it knew its temper wasn’t the best, it wasn’t a ungrateful dragon that repays kindness with evil. It despised such people and Pokemon greatly. If it encountered such a situation, it would definitely tear them apart!

Thinking about this, Giratina snorted and said, ”Then I’ll generously let you try it!”

”Thank you!”

Naoki’s eyes lit up, then with Giratina’s cooperation, he placed his right hand on its forehead.

”Giratina, be good. The bad guys have been driven away!” He said with a slightly embarrassed face.

Giratina stared at him with its blood-red eyes, without reacting for a while.

”Huh?” Seeing this, Naoki was a bit puzzled.

Giratina didn’t seem to become foolish... Or is it because it isn’t angry at the moment?

If that’s the case, then the effect of the stewed potato and meat seems to only work on irrational Pokemon?

And it wouldn’t affect emotionally stable, non-angry Pokemon.

Unfortunately, this means the ”Golden Right Hand” doesn’t work on Paradox Pokemon, and he can’t forcibly enlighten them.

Because the aggressive nature of Paradox Pokemon is influenced by the environment; their brains are simple, focused only on hunting and territorial control, not on other complex matters. This state isn’t equivalent to irrationality, nor is it an angry state.

In this case, using this ability won’t make them docile, as it isn’t mind control and can’t implant the modern Pokemon’s survival methods directly into their brains.

But this is still better than nothing. Next time if he encounters wild Pokemon fighting, he can use this ability to calm them down.

Naoki withdrew his hand and said to the expressionless Giratina in front of him, ”Thanks a lot!”

Giratina: ”...”

Though there was no expression on its face, its heart was in turmoil.

This human... This human actually said such things!

Make it behave and say the bad guys have been driven away!

Giratina had a very clear self-awareness — the biggest bad guy here was probably itself, right?

Giratina widened its eyes and internally muttered: what a strange human...

Meanwhile, at the Paldea League Headquarters.

Leon, riding on Charizard, slowly descended in front of the huge building.

”This time, I shouldn’t have gotten lost and ended up in the wrong place, right?” Leon thought.

He looked up at the sign on the building, which clearly read — Paldea League Headquarters.

Leon let out a sigh of relief.

Thankfully... after getting lost for half a month, he finally arrived at this place successfully.

Learning of the arrival of the Galar League Champion, Paldea’s Chief Champion Geeta immediately came to greet him.

Looking at the young purple-haired man opposite, Geeta politely smiled and said, ”Welcome to the Paldea Region, Mr. Leon. What brings you to the Paldea Region this time?”

Leon nodded, his mind recalled the Mysterious Trainer from the Paldea Region he met in a commercial tournament last year.

He hadn’t encountered a trainer with such prowess for a long time, but unfortunately, the trainer was not interested in the competition and dropped out midway.

To spar with him, he embarked for the Paldea Region immediately after the New Year ended.

A trainer with Champion Level strength must be famous in the Paldea League.

Therefore, Leon nodded and said, ”That’s right! I came here to find a trainer to continue an unfinished match!”

Hearing this, Geeta couldn’t help but be surprised and intrigued: ”Oh? What kind of trainer makes Mr. Leon come all the way to the Paldea Region?”

Leon: ”He is a trainer with Champion Level strength. I wonder if he is working for the Paldea League.”

The Paldea League has a trainer so strong it attracts the attention of a neighboring region’s champion? Geeta was quite surprised but still politely asked:

”What is his name? If he works for the Paldea League, maybe I can help.”

Leon grinned: ”Naoki! His name is Naoki, and he has a Pokemon named Calyrex!”
