Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 515: Chapter 297: Flutter Mane (Bonus Chapter)

After a few hours, Naoki finally let out a sigh of relief after chopping all the timber.

Putting down the axe, Naoki turned around and went back to his bedroom to take a shower.

At this moment, he felt relaxed and very comfortable.

”Seems like the upgraded sheep milk is indeed not something normal people can handle!”

Its effect was really exaggerated, but admittedly, it indeed was a great supplement for humans.

After calming down, Naoki began to ponder if he had been too reckless just now.

He drank an entire bottle of sheep milk in one go.

If he had only drunk a small part, meeting the needs of the body without excess, perhaps the situation wouldn’t have occurred?

Afterwards, he could digest these nutrients through running and other exercises.

Combining the two methods, drinking sheep milk while training, in the long run, would make the body healthier, stronger, and then live a long life.

While pondering this, a girl’s voice suddenly came from outside.

Naoki stepped out, only to see a short-haired girl wearing a Naranja Academy uniform, carrying a backpack, standing outside the ranch.

Seeing someone come out, the girl’s eyes lit up and she quickly asked: ”Um... Hello! I’m a student from Naranja Academy, could you please tell me which direction I should head towards to reach the Abundant Shrine?”

A Trainer heading to the Abundant Shrine? Looks like the news promotion was really successful! People are already drawn in by Calyrex.

Naoki pointed towards the direction of the back mountain: ”Follow this path forward, keep walking to the end, and you’ll see the mountain path leading to the shrine.”

The girl clasped her hands in gratitude: ”Thank you very much!”

With that, she turned and ran towards that direction.

Naoki watched the girl’s figure thoughtfully.

Clearly, this girl wouldn’t be the first nor the last Trainer to come here to explore the legend of Calyrex.

Then, the Thunder Trial and Storm Trial he had planned before should be officially put on the process.

Thinking of this, Naoki immediately called over Pawmot and Dragonite, asking:

”Do you remember the Thunder Trial and Storm Trial I discussed with you before?”

”Pawmot!”

”Roar!”

The two Pokemon nodded repeatedly. They remembered Naoki saying that these trials could help them become stronger and become more powerful Pokemon!

”Very good, now let’s review the content of the trials.”

As he said this, Naoki looked at Dragonite.

Dragonite blinked with anticipation: ”Roar?”

”Your trial is called the Storm Trial,” Naoki introduced, ”As the name suggests, use your most powerful storm mysteries to create hurricanes to sweep your opponents.”

”Rain Dance + Hurricane, and you can use other moves like Thunder, Thunderbolt, Dragon Rage in between, depending on the situation.”

”However, keep in mind that our ultimate goal is not to defeat the opponent, but to gain experience, treat the Pokemon you battle as sparring partners, test the moves you’ve understood on them, and gain practical experience to achieve special training effects, understood?”

”Roar!” Dragonite understood, nodding its head in excitement.

Ever since eating that steamed bun last time, it felt much stronger, but it hadn’t had the chance to battle yet.

Now, Naoki says there would soon be challengers coming, does that mean it can finally battle?

Dragonite was exhilarated and expectant.

It flapped its wings, and a gust of wind immediately rose up from all around.

Seeing this scene, Naoki was somewhat surprised.

Looks like Dragonite’s compatibility with the Storm Steamed Bun is higher than he expected!

Next, it was Pawmot’s turn.

Naoki looked at Pawmot holding a hammer.

Before he could speak, Pawmot swung the Mjolnir in its hand.

As the small hammer spun quickly, streaks of lightning emerged from it.

”Pawmot!”

It wanted to become stronger, become a powerful Pokemon, and then use this power to uphold justice like the Pokemon named Thor, to become a true superhero!

Naoki: ”...Looks like you don’t need me to say much, you’ve already mastered the technique of using the hammer skillfully.”

”Pawmot!” Pawmot exclaimed happily.

Very good, Naoki thought to himself.

Everything is ready, only lacking the wind. The next step is to wait at the ranch for those challengers to arrive.

The League Year 199, February 6.

This morning, Naoki received a letter from Elif Cherry Garden.

The letter mentioned that the Sakura Blossom Wine Party was about to be held this year, reminding Naoki not to forget to bring his Pokemon to participate.

Sakura Blossom Wine Party...

Naoki immediately recalled the experiences from last year’s Sakura Blossom Wine Party, and it happened that the Indeedee that came later hadn’t been there, so he could take them this time to relax a bit.

However, plans often couldn’t keep up with changes.

That afternoon, Naoki received a phone call from Area Zero Research Institute.

Looking at Professor Sada on the screen, Naoki was slightly stunned and asked: ”Professor, what’s up?”

Professor Sada seemed a bit excited, nodded, and said: ”Naoki, the matter I discussed with you before can be realized now!”

”What?” Naoki didn’t immediately react.

Professor Sada reminded: ”Back then, when you helped me take care of Arven, we promised to find Paradox Pokemon in the Giant Pit that could coexist with humans, and now, we have a new discovery.”

Upon hearing this, Naoki immediately understood: ”Which Paradox Pokemon is it?”

A Pokemon that’s adapted to this era and can coexist normally with humans... Is it the calm Iron Thorns? Or the furry Slither Wing? Or perhaps the one like Santa Claus, Iron Bundle?

Professor Sada answered: ”It’s the Paradox Pokemon called Flutter Mane, recorded in the Book of Scarlet and Violet! Like Koraidon, it comes from the ancient past!”

”Flutter Mane?”

Upon hearing this name, Naoki was dumbfounded.

He never would have thought it would be this Paradox Pokemon.

After all, according to the contents of the sighting report, Pokemon like Flutter Mane are very aggressive and combative!

”That’s right.” Professor Sada nodded and meticulously introduced this special Flutter Mane to Naoki: ”Not long ago, it was summoned to this world from ancient times with the Time Machine.”

”Initially, Turo and I thought it would immediately attack us, but surprisingly, it didn’t do so. Instead, it hid in the shadows and secretly followed us, seemingly observing.”

”Moreover, it also stealthily consumed a large amount of food stored in the cafeteria warehouse, besides, we have a significant discovery.”

Naoki immediately grew interested: ”Oh? What is it?”

Professor Sada responded excitedly: ”It seems to be very interested in the photo you and Koraidon left at the Area Zero Research Institute!”

”Turo and I, therefore, have formed a bold hypothesis.”

”Could that Flutter Mane be from the same time as Koraidon, and have possibly met each other?”

”Therefore, I want to invite you and Koraidon to the Area Zero Research Institute so that Koraidon and that Flutter Mane can meet, to verify our hypothesis.”

”If they do recognize each other, then you can bring Flutter Mane back to the ranch with Koraidon and have Koraidon help capture it.”

”You don’t have to worry about the League side, I’ll submit an application to Geeta for you, you just need to come to the research institute!”
