Reborn As Super Heiress

The reason why Liang Ruicheng suddenly suggested that Huo Sining also take out her belongings was quite simple. He wished that what Huo Sining brought would also be a fake. This way, the attention on his Bronze Pot would naturally decrease, or even be directly ignored.

However, Liang Ruicheng’s thinking was evidently unnecessary. Huo Sining had already received instructions from Zhou Shitao, knowing that this exchange meeting had a treasure competition nature, so she was well prepared. Now that Liang Ruicheng made the suggestion, she did not refuse, and straightforwardly brought her item on stage.

Seeing Huo Sining’s calm and composed posture, everyone’s attention was focused on the stage.

Huo Sining took out the wooden box she held, and at this moment, discussions arose from the audience.

”Huh, the box in Miss Huo’s hand looks like it’s made of Huanghuali wood. This wooden box alone is worth at least hundreds of thousands…”

”With such a good wooden box, what’s inside must be extraordinary!”

”That might not be the case, what if it proves disappointing?”

”The box is pretty indeed, and the engraving looks like openwork craftsmanship. If it turns out disappointing, I’ll just buy the box, it’ll be like buying the case and returning the pearl inside!”

Amidst the chatter, Huo Sining carefully opened the wooden box, took out its contents, and placed them on the rotating stand, then immediately moved aside so everyone could see what was on the stand.

Once the audience saw that the item on the stage was a piece of top-quality Tianhuang Stone Paperweight, the place fell into an utter silence.

Even Zhou Shitao involuntarily sat up straight, softly exclaimed ”huh.”

”This is a Golden Rhinoceros Tianhuang Stone Paperweight, made with the best Tianhuang Stone. Of course, the most crucial value of this paperweight is not in the Tianhuang Stone itself, but in the three characters at its base.”

Upon hearing this from Huo Sining, many in the audience became curious: ”Three characters, what three characters?”

Huo Sining smiled and said, ”Which three characters? Let me keep it a secret for now. If everyone is interested later, feel free to come up and see for yourselves. Now, let me tell you about the origin of this Tianhuang Stone.”

”This Tianhuang Stone was accidentally obtained from a giant Chessboard Stone. This Chessboard Stone was something I bought when I went to Hetian to purchase Hetian Jade a couple of years ago, by sheer chance…”

Huo Sining narrates the oddity of the Chessboard Stone and how she discovered the Tianhuang Stone within it, speaking of the strange chess game and mechanism on the Chessboard Stone. The audience became increasingly curious, eyes wide with the desire to see firsthand the giant Chessboard Stone mechanism hiding the Tianhuang Stone Paperweight.

But as Huo Sining finished her story, everyone’s attention naturally returned to the Tianhuang Stone Paperweight. With this story as a setup, their curiosity had been piqued. A Tianhuang Stone Paperweight initially disguised as a fake and then hidden in a finely crafted Chessboard Stone speaks volumes.

If this paperweight were a common item, its owner wouldn’t have gone to such lengths; therefore, the paperweight’s origin must be extraordinary.

Liang Ruicheng, who was waiting to see Huo Sining make a fool of herself, twitched his face hard, but still harbored a glint of hope to find some flaw in the Tianhuang Stone that could overturn Huo Sining’s conclusion, letting her experience the embarrassment of making a mistake before such a crowd. His body unconsciously leaned forward, eagerly wanting to rush to the stage and examine that Tianhuang Stone closely.

However, his speed naturally couldn’t match those closer to the stage, like Zhou Shitao and Shi Qingyun.

Xu Shilong was right next to the stage, so he was the fastest. Meanwhile, Shi Qingyun, Zhuang Xiangyang, and several old experts were not slow this time. After Huo Sining finished speaking and suggested they could come up to view the paperweight, they rushed up, putting on white gloves and scrutinizing the Tianhuang Stone.

Zhou Shitao wasn’t in a hurry this time; since this paperweight belonged to his student, he naturally wasn’t in a rush. He could wait for others to see it first before having a look himself.

The elderly professors formed a circle around the paperweight, nodding and praising as they examined it:

”Rich in color, orderly texture, gentle to the touch, and it even glows with a golden hue. It’s undoubtedly a top-grade Tianhuang Stone!”

”And the craftsmanship is exquisite. The resting beast’s body is very lifelike, definitely a master’s level carving work.”

”It feels smooth and soft like mutton fat, both in color and texture, truly a gem among gems!”

As they praised it, the old men took the paperweight and turned it over. Upon flipping it, they simultaneously saw the three small seal script characters engraved at the bottom of the paperweight, which left them all stunned.

After a few seconds of daze, Xu Shilong was the first to come back to his senses. A single glance at the stone’s base, and he recognized it immediately, his expression turning a bit excited, with a hand clutching the stone slightly trembling: ”Laoxuean! This is… the Tianhuang Stone Carved Beast Book Town Paperweight!”

”What?”

Upon hearing Xu Shilong’s words, even Zhou Shitao, who had been sitting calmly in the audience like a fishing master, couldn’t sit still anymore. He stood up abruptly and briskly made his way to the exhibition stand.

Other experts scrambled to pass it around, examining it thoroughly. Finally, they all confirmed Xu Shilong’s statement, acknowledging that this indeed was the Golden Rhinoceros Paperweight recorded in Lu You’s poem, given to Zhang Zi. Both the shape, texture, and the stamp at the bottom validated this point.

Liang Ruicheng wanted to find some flaw, but this item was a legitimate piece, offering no evidence to refute its authenticity. Feeling a surge of frustration within, yet there was nothing he could do.

Zhou Shitao squeezed into the crowd and, after carefully inspecting the Tianhuang Stone Paperweight himself, also nodded affirmatively: ”This is indeed the Tianhuang Stone Carved Beast Book Town Paperweight. I never expected this thing was hidden inside a Chessboard Stone. No wonder so many have searched in vain for so many years!”

As he said this, Zhou Shitao couldn’t help but look at Huo Sining. Not to mention others, even he, as the master, had to marvel. The luck of his disciple was truly extraordinary, to have acquired such a fine piece!

Huo Sining didn’t know Zhou Shitao’s thoughts. However, she had already made up her mind before coming, so after Shi Qingyun and others finished examining the item, she lifted her head, smiling at the audience, and said boldly:

”Yes, this is indeed the Golden Rhinoceros Paperweight of Lu Fangweng. Since this is Boss Xu’s charity auction today, to express my appreciation, I will donate this Tianhuang Stone Paperweight for live auction at a starting price of six million. All proceeds, like Boss Xu’s charity auction, will be donated in full to charity for aiding impoverished children.”

Upon hearing what Huo Sining said, the audience was left dumbfounded.
