Reborn As Super Heiress

Upon seeing the news on Weibo, the director asked in a solemn tone, ”What’s going on with these two celebrities?”

Han Wen explained the whole situation to the director and then mentioned that they had found a solution for the canceled program. Even the supporting role originally played by Ada in the skit would be temporarily filled by Huo Sining, ensuring no mistakes would occur.

The director listened to Han Wen’s explanation and felt relieved. Hearing that the person replacing the small-time celebrity was Huo Sining, he couldn’t help but feel intrigued.

”Since Huo Sining is so popular on Weibo, let’s add some fuel to the fire. Didn’t those netizens question whether this is true? Then we’ll directly respond to them about it and reveal some details of the skit Huo Sining will participate in next.”

These words left everyone in the data monitoring room surprised, but Han Wen, being a sharp person, quickly understood the purpose behind the director’s suggestion.

Given Huo Sining’s considerable attention online, if the netizens learned that she would come back on stage, the viewership ratings might rise again. Although it seems like exploiting Huo Sining’s fame, for the TV station, it’s an excellent opportunity to boost ratings.

If it were another minor celebrity, Han Wen probably wouldn’t have considered seeking Huo Sining’s opinion and would have directly executed the director’s instructions. But everyone had witnessed her close relationship with Chief Lu and the senior leaders. Even several directors understood that the new magician didn’t have a simple background, and no one dared underestimate the young girl. Hence, to use her fame for promotion, it was essential to get her consent first.

Han Wen dared not delay and hurried backstage to find Huo Sining, preparing for the skit makeup, to tell her about the Weibo incident. After receiving Huo Sining’s consent, Han Wen responded to the rumor on Weibo in the name of CCTV Spring Festival Gala.

Huo Sining didn’t mind at all since it caused her no harm. So when Han Wen mentioned it, she readily agreed. Initially, Han Wen was worried that Huo Sining might resent it, but seeing her positive attitude, she felt more grateful and firmly remembered the favor she owed Huo Sining.

Han Wen responded to the inquiring netizens on Weibo, without taking sides, and wrote in a highly official tone:

An Rong and Ada had indeed collaborated with the Spring Festival Gala program team before. After numerous selections, the team confirmed two segments featuring Xinghui’s artists, An Rong and Miss Ada. However, due to special reasons, Xinghui unilaterally breached the agreement. As a result, the Spring Festival Gala had to make emergency adjustments to the program flow and handle the two segments involving An Rong and Miss Ada promptly.

Here, we inform the audience that although it’s a contingency plan, the program will proceed smoothly. Additionally, we disclose that the skit originally involving Miss Ada will still be performed according to plan. The person stepping in for the emergency rescue has already performed one program before with considerable online attention.

Who could this person be?

Following this long Weibo post, Han Wen playfully added an adorable cartoon mermaid illustration. Once this post went out, it immediately caused a stir.

”Han Wen responded, damn, this rumor is actually true! Xinghui’s artists breached their contract, refusing to perform. That’s too much. It’s New Year’s Eve, and the Spring Festival Gala program was all settled. Changing plans last minute, how are they supposed to handle this?”

”Han Wen truly deserves credit as a seasoned director of several Spring Festival Galas. Her ability to adapt to unexpected situations is impressive. No wonder she’s capable of big tasks!”

”Damn, did nobody notice the latter part of the response? The person rescuing from the situation has already performed before, who could it be?”

”Do we even need to guess? Didn’t you see the illustration at the end? It’s obvious; this person is Huo Sining!”

”Ahh, have I discovered something? Our goddess is going on stage again? She actually has another program, that’s amazing!”

”Huo Sining performing in a skit, really? Isn’t she a magician? Can she even act in a skit? Even if it’s an emergency, acting skills are essential, and the preparation time is just a few hours. Can she manage?”

”I also doubt it. I’m genuinely worried for her. How can someone just accept a role so easily? If she forgets her lines halfway, it would be an embarrassment in front of the nation, no, worldwide Chinese audiences!”

”Xinghui’s two artists really know how to mess things up. Of all times to make a blunder, they choose this moment. Aren’t they just being difficult?”

”Somewhat confused, aren’t there many female artists in the entertainment industry? Why must Huo Sining, an outsider, step in? Does she know how to act? Huo Sining is quite bold to accept the role without hesitation, not fearing a potential slip-up.”

”The earlier magic performance was fantastic, so hopefully nothing goes wrong now. You’ve gained a lot of fans on Weibo, and if this skit fails, who knows how many people will criticize you tomorrow!”

”Crying, why do I have a bad feeling? I can’t shake the thought that Huo Sining performing in the skit is a bit risky.”

”Me too, goddess, hang in there!”

Once Han Wen broke the news that Huo Sining was replacing Xinghui’s female artist Ada to perform in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala skit, it quickly caused an uproar on Weibo. A group of Weibo influencers shared the news, and countless bystanders and fans worriedly held their breath over Huo Sining taking on this daunting task, feeling that it seemed unreliable.

A magician performing a skit, especially on a stage like the Spring Festival Gala, is unprecedented. Moreover, this skit wasn’t initially planned, and she received the task in just half a day. Forget honing performance skills; even memorizing lines is a headache. If things go smoothly, it’s fine. However, if there’s a mess-up, Huo Sining, as the root cause, would be vilified by netizens.

Nevertheless, with this news out, those viewers who initially lost interest after watching Huo Sining’s magic performance, changed channels, or focused on other things, returned to their TVs. Everyone awaited Huo Sining’s skit performance.

Of course, these people weren’t all fans of Huo Sining. Some were those embarrassed by her during the magic show. Their purpose in front of the TV was not to support her but eagerly awaited Huo Sining’s potential blunder.

These individuals were ready to revel in her mistakes, eager to seize any opportunity to criticize or mock her online, venting their frustration from the earlier performance embarrassment.

However, these people were destined to be disappointed.
