Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 437: Chapter 433: Celestial Eye

The phone rang while Huo Sining was still deep in a dream, and in a dazed state, she answered the call.

”Hello?”

”How is it?” Yan Feng’s voice came from the other side.

”How is what?” Huo Sining was somewhat puzzled.

”I’m asking how it feels to open your Celestial Eye,” Yan Feng was curious about this matter.

”What are you talking about? What Celestial Eye?” Huo Sining couldn’t understand at all what Yan Feng was saying. She had gone to bed late the previous night and now her mind was befuddled. Hearing Yan Feng’s question, her thoughts became even more muddled.

”Forget it, as if I never asked.” Hearing Huo Sining’s confused state, Yan Feng knew she hadn’t woken up yet and simply hung up the phone.

”Hello? Hello? Why hang up?” Huo Sining clutched the phone, feeling baffled, and threw it aside to continue sleeping.

However, at that moment, a strange scene suddenly appeared before her eyes. Huo Sining was startled, her eyes snapped open, and she abruptly sat up in bed.

She instinctively looked down at the Nokia phone on her bed.

What just happened? How had she seemed to see the components inside the phone and even the circuit board?

Surely she wasn’t seeing ghosts in broad daylight?!

Huo Sining’s mind immediately snapped into clarity, her heart deeming it absurd; how could she see the inside of a phone? She wasn’t a member of the X-Men, to have X-ray vision, could she?

Huo Sining thought it must’ve been an illusion caused by her grogginess. Gritting her teeth, she picked up the Nokia phone once again.

There was nothing unusual about holding the phone in her hand.

She couldn’t help but scoff, telling herself that it was indeed a hallucination brought on by lack of sleep.

Huo Sining was about to toss the phone away again, but just then, it was as if something like mist dispersed in front of her eyes.

The phone in her hand, as if its shell had been removed, had its internal structure completely revealed, distinctly imprinted in her mind!

Now, Huo Sining was completely dumbfounded!

She felt as if her mind had exploded with a bang, and her heart rate accelerated drastically.

What was going on? Why could she see through the phone’s case to the things inside?

Huo Sining felt sure she must be dreaming. She hurriedly rushed to the washroom, wanting to splash some cold water on herself to calm down.

But when her hand touched the faucet of the washbasin, she once again saw the components inside the faucet, even the small springs were crystal clear.

Huo Sining was agape, recoiling her hands as if she had touched a hot potato.

What was this? X-ray vision? A supernatural power? What on earth was going on?!

She was greatly alarmed in her heart and remembered the call from Yan Feng a few minutes ago. She quickly realized something and hurriedly took out her phone to call Yan Feng back.

”What did you mean by ’opening the Celestial Eye’ just now? Is it--”

Before Huo Sining could finish speaking, Yan Feng had already begun to speak:

”The so-called Heavenly Eye is the Eye of Heaven. Within the primordial chaos, the light and clear ascend as Yang to form the heavens; the heavy and turbid descend as Yin to form the earth...”

What the hell? Hearing Yan Feng recite a long segment of incomprehensible classical Chinese, Huo Sining was instantly confused and quickly interrupted him, ”Can you explain that in plain language?”

Yan Feng’s voice carried a hint of coolness, ”To put it simply, the root of the ’eye’ of the Celestial Eye surpasses that of the Emperor in terms of distance, the past and future of time, and all phenomena can be clearly seen.”

”The Heavenly Eye is located at the spot above the bridge of the nose, two inches into the forehead, and has the ability to form images. Once the Heavenly Eye is opened, one can see objects between the eyebrows, even if your eyes are closed.”

Huo Sining semi-understood the explanation, ”So you’re saying the Heavenly Eye is like X-ray vision?”

Yan Feng nodded, ”You could say that, but your concept of X-ray vision is a broad one.”

”The distance and range visible to the naked eye are quite limited; too big, too small, too far, or too near cannot be discerned by the naked eye.”

”But the Heavenly Eye is different. It is not limited by distance, size, or luminosity and can observe freely in the material world.”

”The Heavenly Eye has levels, and the higher the level, the more functionalities it possesses. In addition to being unrestricted by size, distance, and light, it is also not limited by obstructions, concealment, or revealing, and it doesn’t even need the reflection of light and shadow. Instead, it operates on the reflection or refraction of spiritual power.”

Huo Sining finally understood, ”It’s like playing chess; the higher your rank, the more positions you can see, and the lower your rank, the less you see?”

”Exactly. However, ordinary people can’t open the Celestial Eye on their own, and because you have the Ice Spirit Bead, you can use Spiritual Energy to force open the Heavenly Eye.”

Yan Feng couldn’t help but marvel at Huo Sining’s luck. Opening the Celestial Eye was not just about having a Spiritual Pearl; without full confidence, even he and Su Lan wouldn’t dare to attempt it lightly. Unexpectedly, Huo Sining had managed to open the Heavenly Eye by fluke.

”Your Heavenly Eye has only just opened, and you probably can’t see much. If you want to advance to higher levels, I’m afraid you will have to explore on your own, as none of us possess such abilities and, therefore, can’t impart any experience to you.”

After finishing these words, Yan Feng hung up, leaving Huo Sining somewhat dazed, unable to snap out of it for a long while.

To verify whether Yan Feng’s words were true, Huo Sining tentatively began to experiment in her room.

First, she focused on the desktop computer’s tower in her bedroom. After placing her hand on it, just like before with the Nokia phone and the faucet, within a few seconds, she could see through the computer’s case to the circuit boards, graphics cards, and various colored wires inside.

The computer tower was not big enough, so Huo Sining looked around her room and failed to find more items to experiment with. Her gaze swept around and suddenly landed on the wall next to her bed.

With a thought, she subconsciously pressed her hand against the wall and, through the thick wall, Huo Sining faintly saw a figure moving.

The image was not very clear, but she could vaguely make out that it was Su Qingqing shuffling around, getting ready to change clothes, with a bedside table near the wall, on which there was a photo frame and a vase filled with lilies.

Huo Sining blinked her eyes and tried to see further and more clearly, but it was at this moment that she felt a severe pain in her forehead; her face turned pale, and she involuntarily pulled her hand back, which eased the throbbing pain in her forehead.

It seemed that the computer tower was already her limit; anything larger would appear blurry. If she forced her Heavenly Eye, it wouldn’t withstand the strain.

Huo Sining drew her conclusions from the experience and then found her own behavior rather amusing, for she didn’t even know what use having a Heavenly Eye would be. Was it perhaps meant for peeping?
