Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Chapter 34: Chapter 33: Short-Term Mission Pack

It was probably due to his supernatural ability.

But this posture was really a bit embarrassing. Yu Yue couldn’t help wanting to make herself more natural, and slowly took her hand off her pants.

Suddenly, she felt the coolness around her waist slide down a bit.

Startled, she pressed her hand on the young man’s firm forearm.

”Eek”

The danger had passed, and Su Huan felt much more relaxed, unable to resist teasing her.

In a casual tone, he said, ”It’ll heal quicker with ice therapy. The clothes are in the way, lift them up a bit.”

”Oh, okay, sure.”

Yu Yue realized she had overthought it, feeling conflicted and embarrassed. She grabbed the hem of her yellow shirt and lifted it a bit, sighing to herself, thinking that she was already a mother, why was she still so shy about such a small matter?

”The belt is too tight, loosen it a bit.”

Su Huan tugged at her pants, but her full hips held up the jeans without any room to spare.

Since she had misunderstood Su Huan before, after hesitating for a moment, she loosened her belt a bit.

Looking at the obedient woman, Su Huan’s lips curled.

His cold palm lifted, leaving only an index finger touching her skin, moving up along the smooth skin on her waist for about ten centimeters.

The tingling and cooling sensation from her nerve endings made Yu Yue bite her lip.

She felt something was amiss, but Su Huan’s finger stopped just before reaching a forbidden zone. If it had gone just a centimeter higher, she would have stopped him immediately.

But now... he was kindly helping her with the ice therapy to reduce swelling, so why was she being so paranoid? She needed to be brave!

Yu Yue thought in a fog, completely forgetting whose claws had left the bruises on her waist.

The cool fingertips paused for a moment, and the whole palm was laid across, moving up again a bit.

”Hiss~”

Yu Yue drew in a sharp breath.

Was it this spot?

It seemed like it should be a bit lower...

But the confused woman wasn’t sure, as the sensations of cold and pain sometimes got mixed up.

Su Huan looked down at this clumsy Aunt Yu, an inexplicable smile plastered on his face that couldn’t be stopped.

His palm gradually slid downward.

Aunt Yu not only had a timid personality, but her body was also surprisingly round. Unlike those women in the apocalypse who always had some sharp angles, either calluses on their shoulders and elbows or excessive protruding hip bones due to hunger.

Her pores shrank under the cold stimulus, making her skin even smoother, like fine silk.

His hand moved over her soft waist, slightly bypassed her hips, and stopped at the upper part of her buttocks, without stepping half a step into the Thunder Pool.

But the feel here was already sufficiently ample.

To make the bruises fade faster, Su Huan repeated the process four or five times, expanding the range each time for better therapeutic effect.

”Mom, are you still up there?”

Her daughter’s voice suddenly sounded.

Yu Yue was startled, suddenly realizing her waistline and half of her rounded buttock skin were exposed. Her face turned beet red as she quickly pulled down her clothes, taking a step back to distance herself from Su Huan.

’I should have extended the listening range to this train car,’

she regretted to herself.

The sweet smell of roasted chestnuts at her nose suddenly faded. Su Huan shook his head, suppressing his odd feelings, and wore his habitual fake smile again.

Yu Yue glanced up and noticed his detached brows and eyes, feeling a ripple of inexplicable sadness inside.

”It’s so dark up there, I can’t see you,” Yu Jing said quietly.

”A terrifying snake-like Evolution Beast was chasing us, but it couldn’t catch up and left,” Yu Yue suddenly said, her mind lighting up.

”It’s good that it didn’t catch up.”

Yu Jing came over.

Su Huan squinted at Yu Jing’s clear bright eyes, then looked back at the obviously relieved Yu Yue, smirking inwardly.

Clearly clumsy, yet always trying to appear calm in front of her daughter.

He raised his watch and saw that half an hour had passed.

Looking up at Yu Jing, he said, ”Tell Liang Kuan to stop running and prepare to retreat, have Wang He and the others get ready, we’ll head out together shortly.”

Yu Jing raised her eyebrows, ”Isn’t there an Evolution Beast chasing us behind?”

”They are Evolution Beasts from the water after all. Although some evolved to land, they are more accustomed to aquatic environments. Once the scent of the inducement agent disperses, they will return.”

Su Huan explained simply.

About fifty minutes later, the train finally retreated to a position about a kilometer from the water plant.

It took more time to retreat backward than forward.

Su Huan planned to attach another engine at the rear of the train next time at the platform, specifically for retreating.

It would make escape more convenient.

Perhaps he could broaden his thinking and install a powered carriage every three to five or six to seven cars.

Distribute power layout.

This way, the entire armored train’s load capacity would double, and the armor thickness could also double accordingly.

30mm steel armor, just thinking about it gave a strong sense of security.

While Su Huan was daydreaming, the group had already gathered in Carriage No. 2.

Looking up to sweep a glance at everyone, Su Huan said calmly, ”The inducement agent dissipates in about half an hour, while the scent of high-level Evolution Beasts lingers for about three hours. It’s already been an hour and a half, so we have an hour and a half left.”

”That means if we go now, we’ll only encounter some residual Evolution Beasts and sporadic zombies.”

”I’ll say the next thing only once. For any outing activity, no matter how hot you are, put on a coat. No large areas of skin should be exposed, and the coat and undershirt must be separate.”

”The rest is to follow orders, don’t panic, don’t be startled easily.”

While saying the last sentence, Su Huan’s gaze was fixed on Yu Yue.

Seeing her nod, he continued, ”This time, the task outside is to transport the water purifier, and the personnel allocation is as follows: Xiaoba, Yu Jing, and Wan Xing will stay with the train, Liang Kuan, Yu Yue, and I will carry out the task, Yu Yue is responsible for sensory detection, Liang Kuan is responsible for defense and support. Any questions?”

Listening to Su Huan’s clear arrangement, everyone shook their heads.

”Xiaoba will stay in the storage car, Wan Xing will continue extracting Pan-energy Crystals, and Yu Jing, you need to speed up.”

”Evolving within 1-3 crystals is within the safe range. If you exceed three Pan-energy Crystals, the chances of failure will significantly increase.”

Su Huan emphasized.

”I will be very quick.”

Yu Jing’s almond-shaped eyes slightly lifted, revealing a hint of seriousness.

Su Huan took three palm-sized small bags from the wall behind him, unzipped them, and poured out some miscellaneous items.

There was water and food, and a familiar cylindrical object.

Su Huan introduced, ”This is my short-term mission pack. Remember to bring it yourself when you go out in the future. It contains a 1000ml bag of saline solution, a small packet of beef jerky, but this beef jerky isn’t for you to eat. It’s used at critical moments to divert some keen-nosed Evolution Beasts.”
