Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing had always wanted to know what was inside the Heaven-Earth-People Gates, but no one had ever told him. Unexpectedly, it was Su Kaicheng who finally informed him of this matter.

Ye Qing focused his attention, watching Su Kaicheng carefully, afraid to miss any crucial point.

”The Heaven-Earth-People Gates, on the surface, are divided into Heaven Gate, Earth Gate, and Human Gate. But in fact, inside the Heaven Gate, Earth Gate and Human Gate, there are many distinctions. As far as I know, just the Human Gate alone is divided into eight gates, each corresponding to the eight doors of the Eight Trigrams.” Su Kaicheng said, ”There was once a person called Divine Doctor An Shiping, who entered the Gate of Life within the Human Gate, thereby learning peerless medical skills and became a Divine Doctor. Some others who also entered various gates within the Human Gate either learned unsurpassed martial arts, or mastered the art of Qimen Dunjia, or learned other extraordinary secret techniques, and in any case, they can become a grandmaster in some domain. So, some say that within this Human Gate, there are actually secret manuals from various fields. As long as one masters the content of these manuals, they will become a grandmaster in that domain!”

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat. Just the Human Gate alone was enough to attract countless people. No matter what field one becomes a grandmaster in, it allows a person to become famous in history, no wonder so many people were fighting fiercely for the Heaven-Earth-People Gates.

”What I just mentioned is only the Human Gate. In fact, the Heaven Gate and Earth Gate are relatively simpler. Like the Earth Gate, it is said to bury rare treasures, and anyone who comes out of it will become a wealthy tycoon, possessing inexhaustible wealth for a lifetime.” Su Kaicheng looked at Ye Qing and said, ”In fact, this alone is enough to attract many people to gather together. Just like the Hong Alliance and the Twelve Green Halls, if they enter the Earth Gate and take out endless wealth, then everyone can share a lot of wealth, glory, and prosperity, enjoying immeasurably. Such benefits naturally can unite many people!”

Ye Qing slowly nodded, looking at Su Kaicheng with a bit of surprise. In matters like this, is the country paying so much attention because of competing for this wealth?

”Actually, for the country, the so-called Human Gate and Earth Gate don’t have much impact and wouldn’t interfere with national security. But the most troublesome is the Heaven Gate!” Su Kaicheng sighed and said, ”Do you know what’s inside the Heaven Gate?”

Ye Qing shook his head, how could he know what exactly was inside the Heaven Gate?

Su Kaicheng continued, ”Have you ever heard of a country called Fusang Country?”

”I’ve heard of it,” Ye Qing nodded and said, ”But there are many disputes about Fusang Country. Some say Fusang Country is today’s Japan, while others say Fusang Country is a country that has disappeared in the Western Regions. Which one it is, there’s still some debate.”

Su Kaicheng said, ”Regardless of the disputes, the Fusang Country in history truly existed. Moreover, according to our research, the site of the Fusang Country is located in the area around today’s Uzbek.”

”Oh?” Ye Qing nodded and said, ”So, it’s in the ancient Western Regions area?”

”That’s not crucial; what’s crucial is that Fusang Country still has descendants.” Su Kaicheng paused, looked at Ye Qing, and said in a deep voice, ”Moreover, the stuff inside the Heaven Gate is also related to Fusang Country!”

”What?” Ye Qing was surprised. The Heaven Gate being related to Fusang Country, what’s going on?

”No one knows what’s inside the Heaven Gate, and the Heaven Gate opens very rarely. But those who entered the Heaven Gate in history have one common characteristic!” Su Kaicheng stared at Ye Qing for a while, and said in a deep voice, ”They all eventually became the founding emperors of Fusang Country!”

”Ah?” Ye Qing couldn’t help but exclaim. This is too shocking, right? Those who entered the Heaven Gate eventually all became the founding emperors of Fusang Country. This... what kind of concept is this?

”Do you understand what I mean?” Su Kaicheng said in a deep voice, ”That is to say, if someone has entered the Heaven Gate, then there will be dramatic changes happening over in Uzbek. And since Uzbek borders our country, if turmoil occurs there, it will inevitably affect the borders of our country. This is a matter related to national security!”

Ye Qing took a deep breath, he finally understood what Su Kaicheng just said; indeed, the Heaven Gate is an existence that can affect national security. If someone in this era enters the Heaven Gate, what kind of result will that be? Turmoil in neighboring countries will certainly have a great impact on one’s own country. Indeed, national security is under serious threat.

”Do you believe these things?” Ye Qing asked in a deep voice, ”Do those leaders believe in these matters?”

Su Kaicheng gave a bitter smile and said, ”Ye Qing, it’s not a matter of whether we believe it or not now, but whether others believe it or not in this affair.”

”What do you mean?” Ye Qing asked curiously.

Su Kaicheng said, ”Of course, we won’t believe these things. However, just because we don’t believe, doesn’t mean others won’t.”

As Su Kaicheng spoke, he gave Ye Qing a deep look and said, ”Just like the people of the Twelve Azure Hall, they completely believe that Heaven’s Gate is an existence capable of dynastic change. Therefore, their target is also set on Heaven’s Gate, eager to seize this opportunity to create a nation under their control. No matter how much power they currently possess, being able to become the king of a nation is a temptation no one can resist. Furthermore, Uzbek is an oil-rich nation with an extremely abundant oil reserve, which is even more enticing!”

”So what?” Ye Qing responded calmly, ”Even if they enter Heaven’s Gate, without sufficient strength, what can they actually accomplish?”

”The key issue is not whether they have the strength, but that the Twelve Azure Hall believes Heaven’s Gate can assist them in capturing Uzbek. There are also some people who believe Heaven’s Gate can help them establish a country.” Su Kaicheng said gravely, ”If the people from the Twelve Azure Hall enter Heaven’s Gate and use this matter to deceive those people, do you know what kind of consequences that will cause?”

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat as he finally understood what Su Kaicheng was worried about. If the Twelve Azure Hall deceived those people, and these people believed that those who entered Heaven’s Gate could help them capture Uzbek and establish a new country as founding heroes, these people would inevitably step forward to support the ones who’ve entered Heaven’s Gate. At that time, regardless of the Twelve Azure Hall’s strength, some people would have already started to cause chaos, leading to a large-scale disorder—a very serious matter. After all, the stability of the people is crucial, and if the people are not stable, the nation’s security will naturally be compromised!

Ye Qing was silent for a moment and then said, ”Are you saying that I should prevent the people of the Twelve Azure Hall from entering the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates?”

”To be precise, stop anyone from entering Heaven’s Gate!” Su Kaicheng said, ”This time when the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates open, I don’t know if Heaven’s Gate will open. But if it does, we hope no one steps into Heaven’s Gate. Otherwise, if some ill-intentioned people take advantage of this, society might descend into chaos. By then, many ordinary people will be used and sacrificed in vain.”

Ye Qing understood what Su Kaicheng meant. He pondered for a while and said, ”Since the State Security Department is concerned about this, why not simply seal the Three Gates so no one can enter?”

”That’s not so easy!” Su Kaicheng said, ”The Heaven Earth Man Three Gates have existed for a long time, but they open at different locations each time. Even if we wanted to seal them, we wouldn’t know where to. Moreover, even if we seal the exit this time, if it opens in a different place next time, what good does it do to seal this location?”

”From what I know, opening the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates requires the Seven Keys,” Ye Qing said. ”If we destroy one of the keys, wouldn’t that prevent the Three Gates from opening?”

”We have tried these ideas before. It’s not just us who have tried, but previous emperors of Fusang Country have tried too, but it’s futile,” Su Kaicheng said. ”The material of the Seven Keys is very special, and no matter what method we use, we can’t destroy them at all.”

Ye Qing said, ”Since they can’t be destroyed, why not hide them and guard them with the military? Wouldn’t that solve the issue?”

”That’s also ineffective!” Su Kaicheng said, ”You know, there are now some martial arts experts whose strength is formidable. Even if a special forces unit watched over them nonstop, they couldn’t keep these things secure. Moreover, it’s not just domestic forces eyeing these things; some external forces are also after them. Even if we keep them in the military, they are not safe from being snatched by those external forces. Rather than that, it’s safer to leave them with some martial arts experts. Even if the foreign forces are immensely capable, they can’t snatch them from these experts!”

Ye Qing recalled the Poison Eel Mercenaries he had encountered before; indeed, there are some super strong mercenary corps outside the country. If they also sought to seize these things, even special forces would struggle to secure them. Besides, it’s difficult to defend against an invisible enemy. Considering this, it might be safer to leave them with some experts. Someone like the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun, an acme master, would remain unharmed even if the world’s top special forces attacked.

Su Kaicheng said, ”We have actually considered many ways to destroy these Seven Keys, but none are foolproof. We even thought of sending one key to outer space, but our plan was uncovered by some external forces; they even planned to launch a rocket to retrieve the key from space, leading to the shelving of the plan.”

Ye Qing furrowed his brows and questioned, ”Aren’t these external forces investing too heavily? To go as far as building rockets to seize them, is it really worth it?”

”Why wouldn’t it be?” Su Kaicheng said, ”Not to mention the existence of Heaven’s Gate, which can disturb people’s minds, leading to chaos—a result many external forces want. Just consider the Earth Gate, which holds extremely terrifying wealth inside. Extracting that wealth would more than suffice to build ten or a hundred rockets, so they’re certainly willing to invest.”

Ye Qing couldn’t help but sigh, realizing how truly crazy people can be in the face of absolute profit.

”There’s really nothing we can do but let the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates open,” Su Kaicheng said, ”The State Security Department proposed this plan thirty years ago. While the Three Gates can exist and open, one very crucial point is that they must not endanger national security. That is, even if Heaven’s Gate opens, absolutely no one is allowed to enter; that’s our bottom line!”

At this point, Ye Qing finally understood what task Su Kaicheng was talking about. It turned out Su Kaicheng wanted him to watch over the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates to ensure no one steps into Heaven’s Gate, thereby ensuring national security.
