Urban Martial Saint

Upon thinking of this, Ye Qing immediately perked up and said, ”Where is that Handsome Fatty Wang now?”

”Still locked up at the North District Division, no interrogation yet.” Zhao Chengshuang said, ”He claimed to be friends with you, so they dared not interrogate him without permission. Now that you say you don’t know him, I’ll call them in a bit and tell them to start the interrogation, and give him a few extra hits. This bastard, flaunting and deceiving, it’s outrageous!”

”Don’t call them yet.” Ye Qing quickly stopped Zhao Chengshuang and said, ”Let me go over and see him first.”

”What, you want to go over and rough him up first?” Zhao Chengshuang laughed and said, ”Though this guy really deserves it, conning people like that, a beating serves him right. But, take it easy, don’t accidentally cripple him, it’s hard to explain in the report.”

”What are you thinking?” Ye Qing said speechlessly, ”I’m just going to ask him a few questions, would I beat him over such a small matter?”

”Damn, I thought you were going to beat him!” Zhao Chengshuang pouted and said, ”Alright, I’ll take you over there first.”

Zhao Chengshuang drove Ye Qing to the North District Division. His visit there now was completely different from before. Previously, he was just a criminal investigation team leader at the division, but now he was the deputy director of the city bureau and division chief, a very high status.

As soon as Zhao Chengshuang’s vehicle stopped in the division yard, the deputy director on duty quickly ran out to welcome Zhao Chengshuang and Ye Qing into the office. Zhao Chengshuang was now the city bureau’s deputy director, visiting here was akin to a leader coming down to guide work.

Under Zhao Chengshuang’s arrangement, Ye Qing soon met Handsome Fatty Wang. This kid was currently handcuffed and detained in the holding room. His clothes were torn and shabby as if someone had ripped them, looking very disheveled.

Seeing Handsome Fatty Wang in this state, Ye Qing felt like he was seeing Old Wang Ba, couldn’t help but want to kick him a couple of times. This bastard, conning people just like Old Wang Ba, with all sorts of tricks.

Handsome Fatty Wang was brought into the interrogation room. As soon as he sat down, he immediately said, ”Officer, didn’t I tell you? I’m good friends with Mr. Ye Qing from Shenchuan City. I’ve said everything I needed to, and I’ve cooperated with your investigation, what else do you want to ask? It’s late at night, can we just have a good beauty sleep?”

A few officers looked utterly speechless at this Handsome Fatty Wang. Last time, when caught stealing by Ye Qing, he didn’t care at all. It’s clear this guy has a big heart. Now, even locked up at the police station, he’s still thinking about getting beauty sleep, really not taking this seriously at all.

”Mr. Ye, this is Handsome Fatty Wang.” An officer respectfully said to Ye Qing, ”We’ve investigated, his real name is Wang Jiujin, a wandering tomb robber from the North, he’s been in prison several times, he’s a repeat offender.”

Upon hearing this, Handsome Fatty Wang only then realized Ye Qing was also in the interrogation room. He was first stunned, then his face drastically changed, but quickly he smiled broadly, chuckling, ”Ye Zi, you’re... you’re finally here...”

This guy even called Ye Qing ”Ye Zi”, as if he was very familiar with Ye Qing.

”Mr. Ye, is he really your friend?” a policeman asked in a low voice.

”I don’t know him!” Ye Qing replied firmly.

”Oh?” The officer was stunned. You don’t know him, yet you come to see him, it just doesn’t add up.

”Hey, how can you be so dishonest? What do you mean you don’t know me? Hey, it’s me, Handsome Fatty Wang, you don’t know me?” Handsome Fatty Wang immediately stood up, anxiously said, ”Enough, stop joking, get me out first. It’s too cold in here, Fat Lord here is wearing such thin clothes, they even got torn by someone, if I stay here any longer, I’ll definitely catch a cold.”

”That’s just perfect.” Ye Qing leisurely walked over and sat in front of Handsome Fatty Wang, saying, ”If you catch a cold, you’ll settle down and stop conning people.”

Handsome Fatty Wang knew Ye Qing was actually referring to the last time he conned Ye Qing, awkwardly chuckled, ”Ah, it’s in the past, why bring it up again. We are all good brothers, why be so petty, just get me out first.”

”Do you think that’s possible?” Ye Qing asked.

Handsome Fatty Wang looked at Ye Qing, was silent for a moment, and suddenly a sly glint flashed in his eyes, saying, ”Do you want to know where Old Wang Ba is?”

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat; he was searching everywhere for Old Wang Ba. Old Wang Ba was connected to Huangfu Ziyu, he definitely wanted to know where Old Wang Ba was.

However, looking at Handsome Fatty Wang’s expression, Ye Qing suddenly shook his head and said, ”I don’t want to know.”

”Huh?” Handsome Fatty Wang was suddenly dumbfounded and said, ”Old Wang Ba, don’t you want to know? The old man who paid me to steal from you last time, you don’t want to find him?”

Ye Qing said calmly, ”I want to find him, but I also know you absolutely don’t know where he is!”

”You... how do you know?” Handsome Fatty Wang realized he slipped up the moment he finished speaking, and his face became even more awkward.

Ye Qing shrugged, turned his head to glance at the two police officers, and said, ”Gentlemen, I have some private matters to discuss with him, can I use a little of your time?”

The two police officers understood immediately and quickly smiled, ”No problem, Mr. Ye, you go ahead and talk, we’ll step out for a bit.”

The two police officers left the interrogation room and conveniently closed the door behind them. If it were anyone else in this place, they definitely wouldn’t receive such treatment. For a suspect like Handsome Fatty Wang, it’s not allowed to meet someone alone without police presence. But Ye Qing is different, and besides, Handsome Fatty Wang is just theft, not some earth-shattering case, so there aren’t as many restrictions.

Seeing the two police officers leave, Ye Qing immediately looked at Handsome Fatty Wang and said, ”Actually, what you did isn’t a big deal; it’s just theft. Besides, you didn’t even get away with anything, and you were caught. It’s not a big deal, and getting out isn’t difficult.”

”Damn, what do you mean caught? I, Fat Lord, was climbing through a window, got my clothes caught on it, and was left hanging on the wall unable to get down.” Handsome Fatty Wang immediately said, ”With my skills, stealing something so minor and still getting caught? It’s just that the timing and circumstances weren’t right, otherwise, I’d have succeeded long ago!”

Only then did Ye Qing realize why Handsome Fatty Wang’s clothes were in such a state, they had been ripped by the window. This left Ye Qing speechless, and this guy dares claim to be the top tomb robber in the North? He’s basically just a clumsy thief!

”Anyway, this is just attempted theft, not a big deal.” Ye Qing said, ”Getting you out isn’t difficult either.”

”Then hurry up and get me out of here!” Handsome Fatty Wang said urgently.

”The question is, why should I get you out?” Ye Qing asked.

”Well...” Handsome Fatty Wang was at a loss for words. Indeed, he hasn’t known Ye Qing for very long. On their first meeting, he tried to steal from Ye Qing. The second time, on the plane, he scammed Ye Qing. And the third meeting is here, so Ye Qing has no reason to help him.

”Then... what do you want to do?” Handsome Fatty Wang asked helplessly.

”Very simple, just answer a few questions for me, and I’ll help you get out of here,” Ye Qing said.

”What questions? Ask away!” Handsome Fatty Wang suddenly became spirited and said, ”Any question, I will answer truthfully, as long as it gets me, Fat Lord, out of here.”

”Great!” Ye Qing was quite pleased, nodded, and asked, ”First question, who exactly is King Wan Yan of Northern Desert?”

”Huh?” Handsome Fatty Wang was stunned for a moment, looking at Ye Qing in astonishment, and said, ”You don’t know King Wan Yan of Northern Desert?”

”No, I don’t.” Ye Qing paused and asked, ”Why, is this King Wan Yan of Northern Desert very famous?”

”More than famous, his reputation is enormous,” Handsome Fatty Wang said. ”In the Northern Desert area, he’s the most powerful boss, known as the King of the Northern Desert. His surname is Wan Yan, and it’s said he is a descendant of the Jin Dynasty’s royal family, hence he calls himself King Wan Yan. Ruling the Northern Desert for thirty years, everyone feared the Northern Desert Iron Cavalry. And the Northern Desert Iron Cavalry was established single-handedly by King Wan Yan. How to characterize this King Wan Yan’s strength? Well, he’s about on par with Northern Martial Zen of the Northeast!”

”You know Northern Martial Zen too?” Ye Qing frowned. Of course, he knew Northern Martial Zen. This person could once fight Northern Fist King Third Master Li, showing his strength is not below the Five Uniques, and maybe only a little less. And this King Wan Yan of Northern Desert having strength comparable to Northern Martial Zen, indeed makes him a formidable figure.

”Of course, I, Fat Lord, have been in the North all along. Even if I haven’t seen a pig run, I have eaten pork, haven’t I?” Handsome Fatty Wang said. ”Among the big shots in the North, the top is undoubtedly the domineering General of Meng District Helian Tiehua, that’s unquestionable. Since Northern Fist King Li Changqing Third Master Li disappeared, no one in the North dares to challenge General Helian. Next are the pair Northern Martial Zen and King Wan Yan; neither dares to challenge General Helian, but they’ve had several skirmishes. Anyway, they are on par, neither able to suppress the other, occupying parts of the North separately.”

Helian Tiehua’s power in the North is unquestionable. Apart from Prince Nalan of the Capital, there’s truly no one to match him in the North. However, as the Capital is more central, not counted as the North, Helian Tiehua is like the person of the North.

Hearing this, Ye Qing had a rough understanding of King Wan Yan’s strength, but also increasingly resented Handsome Fatty Wang. This guy is indeed shameless, setting up such a formidable enemy for Ye Qing.

”What exactly was the item King Wan Yan asked you for last time?” Ye Qing asked.

”I don’t know what it was either, he just asked for it,” Handsome Fatty Wang replied. ”It was a burial item I previously handled, and he suddenly came asking me for it. Think about it, with things like that, as soon as I get my hands on them, I turn them over immediately, there’s no way to remember that much. He came to me for it, where was I going to find it?”
