Urban Martial Saint

Can’t find someone proficient in Buddhist texts, the secret inside this wooden box can only be set aside for now.

However, Ye Qing coming to the Netherworld Taoist wasn’t entirely fruitless. At least he learned the material of the box and realized the true value of the Gold Silk Armor, which is far higher than he initially estimated. Most crucially, this Gold Silk Armor is related to the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates and contains some grand secret, making it even more serious.

The opening of the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates is imminent, and everyone is busy competing for the Seven Keys and those Three Maps. And at this time, a Gold Silk Armor, also related to the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates, appears, which is itself peculiar. Who knows how many people are aware of the Gold Silk Armor? If too many people know, having it in Ye Qing’s possession will certainly not be advantageous for him.

Of course, keeping the Gold Silk Armor at the Lin family would be even more dangerous for them. After all, the Lin family has no self-defense capability, possessing such a thing would be like a time bomb, which could explode at any moment. Therefore, Ye Qing didn’t return the Gold Silk Armor to the Lin family but instead took it back to Tian Sheng, storing it in the office safe.

A peaceful night passed, and the next morning, Ye Qing finally freed some time to review the financial situation on his side. In truth, Ye Qing isn’t worried about financial matters at all, because Lin Mengjie is helping him oversee them, and coupled with Qin Jing, who handles money with extreme frugality, Ye Qing doesn’t have to worry about any financial issues. This inspection mainly aimed at understanding how much money they have on the books, to decide if they can buy a few plots of land for the orphanage expansion.

It was surprising when he checked. Ye Qing hadn’t looked at the books for less than two months, and his account had an extra 200 million funds. Previously, when Ye Qing checked, there were only over 20 million inside, how did so much money suddenly appear?

Ye Qing asked Qin Jing in astonishment, but Qin Jing was relatively calm and said, ”Having this much money is normal. Think about it, we have so many venues in Shenchuan City now. Not only are all of your venues under your control, but even Brother Li’s venues have your shares, bringing in substantial amounts daily. This money is just our liquid funds, there are still many funds outside that haven’t been collected yet. If all are collected, it would at least be several times higher than now.”

”Really?” Ye Qing was even more surprised. He had been busy with other things and hadn’t managed the business affairs at all. He knew Li Lianshan had been aggressively developing many enterprises in Shenchuan City recently but never expected them to be so profitable. Moreover, Li Lianshan is quite generous, ensuring Ye Qing has shares in every store he opens. Along with Lin Mengjie’s management, Ye Qing’s income really isn’t insignificant after all the calculations.

”By the way, Ye Zi, there’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you.” Qin Jing said, ”It seems there’s some issue in Jiuchuan County, Manager Lin plans to visit soon. Also, the people Boss Yang sent to help us, they’re supposed to return now, how much should we give them?”

When Ye Qing first started his venture in Shenchuan City, he returned to Jiuchuan County and received help from Old Fifth Yang. If not for Old Fifth Yang sending over fifty people, Ye Qing would have struggled to take his first step firmly.

It turns out those fifty people have been with Ye Qing for about three-four months now, and it’s time for them to return. After all, Old Fifth Yang has limited manpower and needs them to return to help.

Fortunately, Ye Qing doesn’t lack personnel here now, as the entire Shenchuan City is under Li Lianshan’s dominion, and manpower is more than sufficient. So, hearing Qin Jing say this, Ye Qing nodded directly and said, ”Give them ten million.”

”Ten million?” Qin Jing’s eyes widened immediately and said, ”Ten million? That’s over 200,000 per person! Ye Zi, even if you have money, you don’t have to be this generous. You were already giving them over 10,000 monthly for expenses while they were here. Now you’re giving 200,000 per person when they leave; they’ll go back quite wealthy!”

Ye Qing waved his hand and said, ”When they came here, I hadn’t established myself in Shenchuan City, and danger was imminent at any time. They came to help me with their lives on the line, which always posed life-threatening risks. They deserve to earn this money.”

”Oh.” Qin Jing nodded, scratched his head, and said, ”Then… what about Manager Lin?”

”Will she return after going back?” Ye Qing asked, actually not wanting Lin Mengjie to return to Jiuchuan County. In Shenchuan City, Lin Mengjie not only manages Ye Qing’s enterprises but also oversees Li Lianshan’s businesses.

Li Lianshan is also a rough man, whose business sense revolves around investments and collections, not much else. Fortunately, Lin Mengjie is here, who’s extremely competent in business management. The venues of Ye Qing and Li Lianshan are practically all managed by her, with each operating well. So once she leaves, who can manage Ye Qing and Li Lianshan’s venues? Who can they trust?

”That’s hard to say.” Qin Jing said, ”I heard from Manager Lin that there’s some situation with Boss Yang, the financial chain is unsustainable, creating significant trouble, requiring Manager Lin to return to stabilize the situation and possibly finance as well. If it’s indeed such a significant issue, I’d estimate it takes quite a while.”

Qin Jing had spent much time in Shenchuan City, no longer as naive as before. When it comes to financial chain ruptures, financing issues, he speaks fluently like an experienced financial expert.

Ye Qing was silent for a while and said, ”Call Boss Yang and ask how much funds he needs.”

Qin Jing immediately asked in surprise, ”Ye Zi, are you planning to lend him some for rotation? I must remind you, his financial chain rupture mainly involves New District’s development. This is a big project worth billions. Our money here wouldn’t satiate the need. If we can’t manage it, our money might be engulfed as well.”

”When I had no money, Boss Yang helped me unconditionally. Now that he needs help, can I turn my back?” Ye Qing paused and said, ”If my funds aren’t enough, discuss with Brother Li and see if we can rotate some funds.”

”Oh.” Qin Jing said no more. He understood Ye Qing’s character. When treated well by others, he reciprocates with gratitude, and it’s the same for Old Fifth Yang.

Ye Qing intended to buy land with the two billion, but Old Fifth Yang’s issue temporarily hindered his plans. Yet Ye Qing wasn’t overly worried, as purchasing land wasn’t something done overnight. It required on-site evaluation, and paying for them would probably take one to two months. During this time, he should be able to recover some funds, thus having money to conduct business.

The key right now is helping Old Fifth Yang through this hardship because Old Fifth Yang unconditionally helped Ye Qing before. Besides, Ye Qing’s family and his kin and friends in Jiuchuan County are all cared for by Old Fifth Yang, which allows Ye Qing to be immensely grateful.

After completing official duties, Ye Qing, idle with nothing to do, went directly upstairs intending to practice his martial arts here. He used to train here daily but had neglected his martial arts due to recent busy affairs. Now that he found some free time, he decided to practice again.

Arriving at the top floor, Ye Qing was surprisingly greeted with two people already there. One was Black Bear, and the other was the fool Ye Qing brought back from the Northern Li Family, who was none other than the Northern Fist King Third Master Li’s only grandson, Li Bing’en.

Li Bing’en’s build is similar to Black Bear’s; both are very robust in stature. Standing together, they are like two Iron Giants with strong deterrence. At present, they were facing each other, using their shoulders to collide. Ye Qing noticed this was indeed Bajiquan’s training method of Pillar-Support practice.

Since Black Bear learned Bajiquan from Ye Qing, he nearly practiced Bajiquan daily. Especially the move Stick to the Mountain, which complements his physique, is highly impactful, so he practiced Stick to the Mountain every day. However, Ye Qing didn’t expect him to train with Li Bing’en here.

Ye Qing brought Li Bing’en to Shenchuan City mainly wanting Lin Tianyou to assess whether his brain could restore to normal. But Lin Tianyou was busy abroad recently and hadn’t returned yet. After doing a comprehensive check-up for Li Bing’en at the hospital, Ye Qing let him stay on his side for his people to look after him.

Li Bing’en’s treatment in Shenchuan City was far better than in the Northern Li Family, where few considered him human. However, at Ye Qing’s place, he was treated as a guest of honor; no one mocked, everyone cared for him. Moreover, he seemed very happy here, laughing daily with a noticeable smile.

Li Bing’en’s Bajiquan was personally taught by Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun and bore no significant difference to the Li style Bajiquan. Given Shen Tianjun’s expertise, he excels in all boxing techniques, including Bajiquan. Hence, Li Bing’en practiced the authentic Li Family style.

However, Li Bing’en had cognitive issues; how could Black Bear and he possibly practice together here? Could it be that they can communicate?
