Urban Martial Saint

This familiar voice, this pretentious language, and this sleazy tone, it’s really quite familiar.

Ye Qing turned his head to look, only to see a chubby fat man struggling with two people. The fat man’s hands were wrapped in a coat, as if tied together, which looked very strange. And this fat man was the same one who had been hired by Old Wang Ba to steal Ye Qing’s Seven-Star Ancient Sword.

Last time, Ye Qing let him go, thinking that this guy had already left Liaoshen City. Unexpectedly, it was such a coincidence that he happened to meet him on this plane.

”Hey, Handsome Fatty Wang!” Ye Qing greeted with a smile. This fat guy was quite an interesting person.

”Huh, why are you here too?” The fat man saw Ye Qing and instantly filled with excitement, trying to turn and walk toward Ye Qing, but was immediately held back by the two people next to him.

The two people glanced at Ye Qing, their faces showing obvious wariness, as if they were guarding against Ye Qing. And Ye Qing was well aware that he had never seen the two people before, so what was going on?

With the two people holding him, the fat man couldn’t get over. He waved his arm toward Ye Qing and said, ”Where to?”

Ye Qing looked at the plane and said, ”Where else could it be? Could this plane stop halfway? It’s definitely going to Shenchuan City.”

”Uh...” The fat man felt awkward and said, ”Oh, you’re going to Shenchuan City too, what a coincidence, me too!”

”Nonsense!” Ye Qing pouted and said, ”Everyone on this plane is going to Shenchuan City, do you think you’re on a bus or a train?”

”Hehe...” The fat man chuckled awkwardly, wanting to continue talking to Ye Qing, but was directly dragged to a nearby seat by those two people.

The fat man couldn’t break free from the two, so he could only wave his arm toward Ye Qing and said, ”Hey, let’s chat later, let’s chat later.”

Ye Qing looked at the two people beside the fat man. It was apparent that they were very cautious, though it was unclear what exactly they were being cautious about. And from the look of it, the fat man seemed to be under their control, leaving one to wonder what had happened. Could it be that this fat man stole something again and got caught? Shouldn’t that mean being sent to the police station? But then, why were these two taking him to Shenchuan City?

Ye Qing didn’t bother with other people’s business. He and the fat man were just casual acquaintances. Besides, the fat man had stolen from him before, and Ye Qing not causing him trouble was already merciful enough. As for the fat man’s affairs, Ye Qing wasn’t inclined to intervene, considering the fat man wasn’t exactly a good person; better to stay out of it.

The flight from Liaoshen City to Shenchuan City took about four hours. Along the way, Ye Qing could vaguely hear Handsome Fatty Wang arguing with the two people, but midway, Handsome Fatty Wang quietly obeyed after getting hit by the two.

Ye Qing clearly saw what was happening with Handsome Fatty Wang from the front, yet didn’t intervene. Handsome Fatty Wang, being a tomb robber, had always been involved in shady dealings, so perhaps he had taken someone’s belongings and got tracked down.

When the plane arrived in Shenchuan City, Ye Qing didn’t even greet Handsome Fatty Wang and simply deplaned with Li Bing’en. Just as they reached the doorway, Handsome Fatty Wang suddenly seemed to go berserk and dashed toward Ye Qing.

The two people were caught off guard, and Handsome Fatty Wang sprinted away. They immediately panicked and hurried to give chase, but they were slower. Handsome Fatty Wang quickly reached Ye Qing’s back and reached out to grab Li Bing’en.

This Handsome Fatty Wang was truly unlucky; if he went for Ye Qing it might have been fine, but going for Li Bing’en was just asking for trouble. Li Bing’en’s skill in Bajiquan far surpassed ordinary people’s. Although Li Bing’en acted foolishly, he had basic reflexes. As soon as Handsome Fatty Wang caught him, Li Bing’en immediately countered by grabbing Handsome Fatty Wang’s arm and casually tossing him away.

”Ouch!” Handsome Fatty Wang cried out in agony, falling hard and grimacing in pain.

At this moment, the two people caught up, but Handsome Fatty Wang had been thrown behind Li Bing’en. If the two wanted to grab Handsome Fatty Wang, they’d have to get past Li Bing’en. But the doorway was too narrow, and with Li Bing’en and Ye Qing blocking it, they couldn’t get through.

”Get out of the way!” one of the men shouted and reached to shove Li Bing’en aside, but it was a big mistake. Before he could lay a hand on Li Bing’en’s shoulder, Li Bing’en had already charged in and with a Stick to the Mountain move, sent the man flying back.

Despite Li Bing’en’s foolish look, his physique was tall, with a broad back and powerful build. Used by him, the Stick to the Mountain move was far more powerful than Ye Qing’s. The man flew backward, unable to even crawl up.

The other man, seeing the situation, was petrified, and naturally dared not try to tug at Li Bing’en anymore. He could only grit his teeth and watch Li Bing’en, speaking in a deep voice: ”Who are you people anyway? Why are you protecting him?”

Li Bing’en chuckled foolishly, not even answering his words. Ye Qing opened his mouth, about to speak, but who would have thought Handsome Fatty Wang beat him to it and shouted, ”Young Ye, don’t worry about me, quickly go back and tell Eighth Master to hide that stuff, and best hide himself too, whatever you do, don’t get caught.”

Ye Qing didn’t expect Handsome Fatty Wang to say something like this. Hearing it made him almost cough up blood. This bastard, Handsome Fatty Wang, was clearly setting him up. Ye Qing wasn’t planning to take care of him in the first place. This guy’s words now made others think he was in cahoots with Handsome Fatty Wang.

Sure enough, the person opposite them changed his expression upon hearing this and pointed at Ye Qing, saying in a deep voice, ”You all are actually colluding, huh? You little rat, you acted quite convincingly back in Liaoshen City. Hmph, I’m not afraid to tell you, this thing is what King Wan Yan of Northern Desert wants. If you dare to snatch it, Prince Wan Yan certainly won’t let you off!”

Ye Qing had never heard of any Prince Wan Yan and didn’t want any trouble. Hearing this, he immediately wanted to explain. Who knew that the fat guy wouldn’t even give him a chance to speak, loudly yelling, ”Young Ye, don’t let him get away, don’t let him run back to warn them. Otherwise, when Prince Wan Yan comes down on us, none of us will survive. Quick, silence him! Silence him!”

Handsome Fatty Wang’s words left Ye Qing no chance to interrupt. And the part about silencing him frightened the remaining people on the plane into screams and cries. These people were almost scared out of their wits when they saw the fight, and now hearing about silencing them, they were practically scared to the point of wetting themselves.

Ye Qing was nearly driven mad by this fat guy. This damn fat guy, he was even more despicable than Old Wang Ba.

”What’s going on? What’s going on?” Just then, a commotion arose from the back. Ye Qing turned his head to look, only to see a group of men in police uniforms running over. Without a doubt, the airport police had arrived.

Seeing the police come over, the remaining passengers on the plane suddenly seemed to find their saviors and, regardless of Ye Qing and the others standing at the entrance, rushed out of the plane in a hurry.

Ye Qing and Li Bing’en were originally standing at the entrance of the plane. Now it was all chaos, and they had no choice but to give way. The man from earlier also took advantage of the chaos to rush out, not giving Ye Qing a chance to explain. Ye Qing wanted to chase after him to clarify things, but the police blocked him, thinking he was trying to hijack the plane.

Seeing the man supporting the injured person running far away, Ye Qing was so angry he almost spat blood. This had nothing to do with him at all. Thanks to the fat guy’s setup, trouble landed squarely on him instead.

Seeing those two run off, the fat guy let out a long breath, grinning and limping as he stood up, laughing and saying to Ye Qing, ”Buddy, thanks a lot!”

”You son of a bitch...” Ye Qing wanted to grab the fat guy but was stopped by several police officers. The police sternly said, ”Don’t move, don’t move!”

”I...” Ye Qing was speechless. No matter how he tried to explain to the police, it was useless. Being held up, he could only watch as the fat guy ran away.

Actually, it wasn’t a big deal. This was Shenchuan City, and although the police didn’t know Ye Qing, once he identified himself and Zhao Chengshuang came personally, the issue was solved quickly. But he had spent over an hour running around the airport, and by the time he got out, Handsome Fatty Wang and those two men were long gone.

”Damn it!” Ye Qing cursed angrily. This bastard, Handsome Fatty Wang, really was treacherous. Had he known it would be like this, he shouldn’t have let him go last time and should have taken him directly to the police station, avoiding all this trouble.

”What happened?” Zhao Chengshuang asked while driving, seeing Ye Qing’s state. He curiously asked, ”How did you even manage to start a fight at the airport?”

Ye Qing replied, frustrated, ”Don’t mention it, I got completely set up!”

”Set up? By whom?” Zhao Chengshuang asked curiously.

Ye Qing thought for a moment, gritting his teeth, ”Old Wang Ba!”

”Old Wang Ba?” Zhao Chengshuang asked, even more surprised, ”You saw him?”

”Hmph, I wish I had seen that old guy!” Ye Qing said, rubbing his hands together, ”I have a lot of scores to settle with him!”

Ye Qing had been busy looking for Old Wang Ba this whole time, but that old guy never showed his face, and Ye Qing couldn’t do anything about it. But it would be one thing if he never showed up, yet he had to set a trap like this. Who knew where he found this fat guy to steal Ye Qing’s Seven-Star Ancient Sword? And even though he couldn’t steal it, he had to pull this stunt, talk about treacherous! Ye Qing didn’t even know anything about this Prince Wan Yan, and now despised him before even meeting him. If Prince Wan Yan really does come looking in Shenchuan City, how will Ye Qing explain himself?

All this trouble was stirred up by Old Wang Ba. Ye Qing truly hated him to the core.

But hate as he might, without Old Wang Ba showing up, Ye Qing could only seethe in his heart.
