Urban Martial Saint

In the end, Chen San didn’t speak again with Aomuhan; he knew Aomuhan’s personality well, and it wouldn’t be of any use even if he did. So eventually, Chen San could only turn to Ye Qing.

Ye Qing was busy till one-thirty in the morning last night before the high fever on Broom Star finally began to subside slowly.

Seeing the fever recede, Ye Qing and Fang Tingyun were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. Upon further checking, they found that all parts of his body were normal, and there was nothing amiss. However, for safety reasons, they still placed Broom Star in the hospital for observation and treatment.

Fang Tingyun stayed at the hospital to take care of Broom Star, while Ye Qing went back to sleep until the morning and then returned to the hospital to check on Broom Star again, completely forgetting about Chen San’s return. Receiving Chen San’s call, he suddenly remembered that Chen San was returning to Shenchuan City today and hurried back to Tian Sheng to meet Chen San.

The two met, exchanged pleasantries, and then directly got to the main point. Chen San spoke to Ye Qing about the situation over in the Western Province, including Wang Tian’an’s defeat.

When Ye Qing heard a white-haired person appeared, his first thought was of White-haired Ding San. Since the incident in Tianhui City, White-haired Ding San had vanished without a trace; Ye Qing thought Bloody Monk did not allow him to kill anymore. Unexpectedly, Bloody Monk did not stop him from killing but merely did not allow him to kill in the Eastern Province, instead taking him to the Western Province to kill.

Nonetheless, White-haired Ding San’s progress in strength was indeed beyond Ye Qing’s expectations. If Ding San continued killing like this, he would sooner or later reach the strength to rival the Five Uniques, wouldn’t he?

However, for him to achieve the strength to rival the Five Uniques, how many people would have to die at his hands? Just thinking about it made Ye Qing’s heart tremble, for he had seen those people Ding San killed.

As for why Bloody Monk took White-haired Ding San to the Western Province to kill Wang Tian’an’s people, Ye Qing actually understood well. Bloody Monk wasn’t foolish; he was undoubtedly aware of Wang Tian’an using Sha Men deceitfully before. Sha Men was created single-handedly by Bloody Monk, and Wang Tian’an dared to deceive Sha Men, so Bloody Monk would certainly not spare him. Bringing White-haired Ding San to kill Wang Tian’an’s people was Bloody Monk’s first step in revenge, although it also put Wang Tian’an in a tough spot.

Afterward, Chen San talked about Lu Zian, and it wasn’t until then that Ye Qing learned that the man from Twelve Green Halls was named Lu Zian. Furthermore, he was taught by Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue. Ye Qing remembered Tianfu mentioning Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue, reportedly possessing the power of the Five Uniques. Since Lin Xuan Yue’s disciple was here, Lin Xuan Yue would probably not take long to arrive either.

Great General Helian Tiehua was already preparing to head south, and if Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue also came, the Southern Six Provinces would likely become their battleground. However, Twelve Green Halls also had experts akin to Lin Xuan Yue, at least Ning Qianshu was still not weak. Only having Great General Helian Tiehua on this side, the Hong Alliance’s chances of winning this battle were quite small.

Chen San did not talk about the Hong Alliance matters because he thought Ye Qing probably wasn’t aware of them yet. After finishing the story of his trip to the Western Province, he then brought up the matter of Aomuhan.

”Ye brothers, I have heard about Muh Han’s situation from my younger sister before.” Chen San looked at Ye Qing sincerely and said, ”Muh Han was brought to Shenchuan City by me, he did such things, my lack of oversight is to blame. Therefore, for previous incidents, I am here, on his behalf, to apologize to you, Ye brothers!”

Ye Qing frowned slightly; he had already hit Aomuhan last night, and the two were now settled, owing nothing to each other. At this moment, Chen San was apologizing, making the matter not so simple. If Chen San apologized, then going back and forth, wouldn’t Ye Qing also have to apologize for injuring Aomuhan?

Upon further thought, Ye Qing understood Chen San’s intentions. He came to apologize for Aomuhan, hoping Ye Qing would apologize too. This way, as long as Aomuhan cooled his anger, Ao Wuchang would not come looking for trouble with Ye Qing. In essence, Chen San was considering Ye Qing’s well-being by doing this.

”Chen San, I am aware that Ao Wuchang is heading towards Shenchuan City!” Ye Qing looked at Chen San calmly and said, ”I appreciate your gesture. Since I dared to injure Muh Han, I am not afraid of Ao Wuchang. Besides, Chen San, you should understand Aomuhan’s character better than I do. Even if I hadn’t injured him this time, when Ao Wuchang came into Shenchuan City, he might not spare me.”

Chen San frowned; he knew Ye Qing was right. Aomuhan had been dissatisfied with Ye Qing from the beginning, always trying to deal with Ye Qing. This time, with Ao Wuchang entering Shenchuan City and having a backing, he would absolutely not spare Ye Qing, which is inevitable.

However, with the situation reaching this point, Chen San found himself in a dilemma. He regarded Ye Qing as a brother and did not want Ye Qing to encounter trouble. Yet Aomuhan was caught in the middle, and Ao Wuchang so fondly loved this son that even he couldn’t change anything.

Now, if one wants to change this matter, unless Great General Helian Tiehua personally comes to Shenchuan City. But, how could the Great General possibly travel to Shenchuan City for the sake of a single Ye Qing?

After a long silence, Chen San sighed and said, ”Ye brothers, let me give you a word of advice. My foster father’s strength is extraordinary, definitely above that Lu Zian. At least, even if you join forces with Liu Mubai, you are definitely not my foster father’s match. So, if possible, go to Xihang to stay for a while. I’ll look after things here in Shenchuan City for you!”

Chen San’s suggestion was for Ye Qing’s benefit, advising him to lay low at Xihang Shen Family Manor. However, with Ye Qing’s character, how could he possibly do such a thing? Moreover, now that Huangfu Ziyu was missing, Ye Qing absolutely wouldn’t leave before finding Huangfu Ziyu.

”Thank you for your kindness, Chen San brother, Mr. Ye knows what to do!” Ye Qing replied calmly.

Chen San understood Ye Qing’s thoughts, so he could only sigh heavily, then slowly stood up and said, ”If that’s the case, then I won’t disturb you anymore. Ye brothers, Lu Zian might arrive in Shenchuan City before my foster father. If he comes, contact me immediately, I will surely come to assist you. However, my foster father’s matter...”

Chen San gritted his teeth, clasped his fist toward Ye Qing, and said, ”Take care!”

Ye Qing slowly nodded, watching Chen San leave with a face as calm as still water. Since he chose to seek revenge against Ao Muh Han, he had never feared, just like his daring return to Shenchuan City. Lu Zian might come to Shenchuan City at any time, yet Ye Qing dared to return to Shenchuan City because he was not afraid of death. It was the same with Ao Wuchang, Ye Qing would not let Ao Muh Han bully his friends out of fear!

In the afternoon, when Broom Star, after a comprehensive check-up at the hospital, was thoroughly alright, he headed back to the orphanage. Ye Qing accompanied the journey, and along the way, he was amazed to find that Broom Star seemed to be much calmer, speaking less. The occasional words that came out were full of philosophy, rendering Ye Qing and Fang Tingyun unable to understand.

At the orphanage, Principal Wu Yian was overseeing, so there were no problems. Last time, Chen Yongchang, to gain Ye Qing’s trust, completely cured Wu Yian’s illness through acupuncture. Now, Wu Yian seemed much younger, with more vitality. Moreover, hearing that the orphanage had already gained approval, Wu Yian was even more delighted. When one is filled with joy, one’s spirit is rejuvenated; now, both his body and spirit are good, and he estimates he could live for decades more. He has fully thrown himself into the orphanage’s work and even moved to live there.

Seeing Ye Qing’s arrival, Wu Yian immediately took him on a tour of the orphanage, explaining the new projects and equipment to him.

At the orphanage, whenever money was needed, Ye Qing fully provided for it. Regardless of how much Wu Yian asked for, as long as he named a figure, Ye Qing would send the money over immediately, not even asking how it was spent. However, Wu Yian was a very earnest person; he kept precise records of every piece of equipment added and every expense made. Moreover, when Ye Qing came, he would show him around to see the tangible evidence, proving that the money was indeed well spent.

Walking around the orphanage, Ye Qing was filled with emotion. He initially only proposed the concept of an orphanage, leased a piece of land, and then sent over money and the children, actually without any experience himself. Fortunately, there was Wu Yian and the team he brought, enabling the orphanage to develop to its current state.

Wu Yian has been an old principal for decades, and many children used to live at school back then, similar to the current situation at the orphanage, giving him vast experience in this area. The entire orphanage, now built by him, was exemplary, in no way inferior to those public orphanages. Had it been Ye Qing doing this, he surely couldn’t have thought of so many things.

”Ah, it’s just that there are more and more children in the orphanage now, and monthly expenses are increasing.” Wu Yian sighed and said quietly, ”Actually, I’ve been trying my best to find homes for these children. But this is not an easy task. I’m afraid that most of them will have to stay at the orphanage in the future!”

Ye Qing knew what Wu Yian was worried about; the old principal, who had been frugal all his life, spent all money on the children. He was indeed a scholar worthy of respect. In fact, he was very willing to take care of all the children. However, since the money was Ye Qing’s, he was worried whether, with so many children and the heavy burden, Ye Qing might give up on the orphanage. Therefore, Wu Yian was trying to reduce the orphanage’s expenses to ease Ye Qing’s burden.

”Principal Wu, you don’t need to worry about the funding.” Ye Qing said, ”The orphanage has now been elevated to a national project, and there will be allocations from the Ministry of Finance soon. There will be no issues with funding!”

”Really?” Wu Yian was very excited and asked urgently, ”Really... will there truly be allocations from the Ministry of Finance?”
