The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1693: Chapter 1693: Luring Them Elsewhere

Shu Yu only hoped that Meng Yunzheng and Xia Yi’s actions could proceed smoothly, preferably killing Fifth Guo before their gang organized manpower for a search.

By then, they wouldn’t be able to bother about this side.

At this moment, Meng Yunzheng and Xia Yi were pretending to be panicked as they headed to the temporary treatment area for the wounded.

The wild beasts had bitten and injured many people. Meng Yunzheng and Xia Yi carried an unconscious injured person, who had fallen in the corner, into the medical room.

As soon as they entered, wailing sounds came from inside, with many people lying on the ground constantly calling for the doctor.

There were doctors in the black market, three to be exact. But no matter how many, they couldn’t handle the overwhelming number of injured; the three doctors were busy spinning in circles, yet still cursed for being too slow.

Taking advantage of their utter turmoil, Xia Yi went to one of the doctors and asked urgently, ”Where is Steward Guo Wu? I have an urgent matter with him.”

Without raising his head, the doctor said, ”I heard someone say he went to the prison.”

Prison?

Xia Yi nodded, and with Meng Yunzheng, turned around and left.

The two found a secluded corner to discuss their plan of action.

The opponent was in the prison; not sure if they suspected the one who released the beasts was someone imprisoned, or if they had some clues. At least Meng Yunzheng thought that Steward Guo going to the prison at this critical moment was not just a casual visit.

However, they couldn’t take action in the prison.

”Most of the people held there are innocent. If we take action then they use those people as hostages, it would be extremely disadvantageous to us, and it’s inevitable that we’ll be restrained.”

They couldn’t disregard everyone’s lives, right?

Meng Yunzheng pondered, ”You’re right, so we must lure him elsewhere.”

”Lure him where?”

Meng Yunzheng raised his head, looking towards the left front.

Xia Yi followed his gaze, ”Beast Camp?”

”Right.”

Xia Yi nodded, ”Okay, I’ll take care of it, you go ahead and ambush in the Beast Camp.”

The two quickly split up. Xia Yi watched as Meng Yunzheng entered the Beast Camp and immediately took a deep breath, changing his expression to that of the timid and frail girl, then stumbled towards the prison.

The prison had also encountered an attack by beasts. In the corner, a wolf that had been shot dead lay there, unprocessed, and the ground was covered with bloodstains. Close to the second cell door, a corpse lay nearby.

Xia Yi cautiously avoided them, looking towards the people locked inside the prison.

These people were likely all frightened, all shrinking to the innermost part, staring wide-eyed in fear.

”Who?” a wary voice came from the front of the dark corridor.

Xia Yi quickened her steps, ”Steward Guo, it’s Yi’er.”

Fifth Guo managed these girls, and without saying more, he knew all the girls under him.

Seeing Xia Yi, he frowned and said, ”What are you doing here?”

Xia Yi quickly explained, ”I was summoned out to serve a big brother, but unexpectedly encountered the beasts running out, so I found a room to hide. I only dared to come out when it was silent outside, but I couldn’t find that big brother anymore, so I thought I’d come back to the prison first; it’s too dangerous outside. But just as I reached the entrance, I suddenly saw someone sneaking into the Beast Camp. Steward Guo, did that person release the beasts? Now he’s gone back in, could he be planning to...”

Before Xia Yi finished speaking, Fifth Guo’s face had already changed!!
