The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1686: Chapter 1686: Meng Pei’s Bold Idea

Therefore, Meng Pei just instructed Young Master He to continue hiding on the beam inside, waiting for him to rescue the people first, and then figure out a way to take him out.

However, as soon as Meng Pei went out, he saw Jiang Kuanyu leading five or six people out of the cell, heading towards the Beast Camp.

Meng Pei’s expression changed slightly, afraid that he might be recognized, he could only retreat and return to the Beast Camp.

When Jiang Kuanyu arrived and saw no one guarding outside the door, he felt something was wrong and started checking the situation of the Beast Camp with his men.

Meng Pei knew it was a bad situation. Although the vicious wolf was dead at the very back, with such a thorough investigation, it would be discovered sooner or later. By then, he would be cornered with nowhere to escape.

Moreover, there was still Young Master He inside.

The opponents were numerous, and he was injured, so facing them was no good.

Meng Pei gritted his teeth, looking at the beasts in the cages on both sides, a bold idea emerged in his mind.

He rushed to the very back, amid the roars of the beasts, chopped the chains on the cages one by one, opened the doors, and then quickly climbed up to the beam, hiding beside Young Master He.

He had released all the beasts except for the python.

He had heard Young Master He say that many innocent people were still locked up in the cells on the other side. The front of the cells was blocked by wooden railings, and although the gaps were not big, a slightly smaller python could easily get in.

If the python got in, those people would have nowhere to escape.

Meng Pei wanted to save them, but he didn’t intend to sacrifice these innocent lives.

As for the brown bear that could smash open a door, there was no need to worry. The wooden railings were thick and sturdy, quite different from decorative room doors, and the Big Bear couldn’t break them open.

This was why when Meng Yunzheng and his group arrived and saw all the other cages open, only the python’s cage remained firmly closed.

He planned to release the beasts and leave amidst the chaos after they all left, but then he heard footsteps, quickly followed by the arrival of Meng Yunzheng and his group.

These had been Meng Pei’s exhausting and perilous experiences over the past few days, yet he summarized them in just a few short sentences when telling Meng Yunzheng.

Even though he spoke briefly, Meng Yunzheng could sense the difficult situation from which he found it hard to extricate himself.

Meng Pei said, ”I thought of using this chaos to find your uncle, and if Jiang Kuanyu wasn’t devoured by the beasts, the first thing he’d do after recovering might be to suspect someone used this turmoil to rescue people. He would go to check on your uncle’s place, and I could follow him to find your uncle.”

Meng Yunzheng nodded, ”Exactly, let’s go out and see if we can find him.”

Speaking of which, the group had already run to the entrance of the Beast Camp.

The outside was still in chaos, and Shu Yu, with her sharp eyes, just happened to spot Jiang Kuanyu being cornered by a tiger in search of a way out.

Her eyes suddenly brightened, ”There.”

Jiang Kuanyu had terrible luck. When the beasts were released, he was inside the Beast Camp, directly facing these pouncing beasts.

Two of his men were bitten to death on the spot, and the remaining two guarded him as they fled.

But this tiger seemed to have targeted him specifically, pursuing him relentlessly.

Jiang Kuanyu’s flashy skills were of no match against the tiger. Fortunately, the two subordinates with him were capable, fending off the beasts occasionally lunging at them and protecting Jiang Kuanyu as they escaped.
