My Alleged Husband

Chapter 567: Chapter 546: Interrupting the Affection_1

”Do you really think you’re a good man? In fact, you’re not such a great man yourself. Don’t you have any awareness of that?

You’ve made so many mistakes, yet you always think they’re all someone else’s fault. You never thought about taking responsibility for your own actions, you’re just a coward. I don’t wish to be married to a coward, nor do I want to spend my life with one!

Since things have come to this, there’s no need for anyone to say anything else. Aren’t we both living the life we want? Why keep harping on and fighting over this? Everything from the past is now just smoke and clouds; there’s no point in clinging to what doesn’t belong to you. Even if you keep thinking about those things, they will never be yours. They have nothing to do with you, so why sacrifice your lifelong happiness for them?

From the beginning, I was using you. I took advantage of your love for me, your feelings for me, so I could achieve my own goals. I was unscrupulous, even willing to do things you couldn’t imagine. Did you ever guess what I’ve said behind your back?”

I really didn’t want to listen to him anymore these past few days. I raised my hand and slapped him, shocked by my own son’s action. I never expected my own son to strike a woman. Last time, I couldn’t believe my son would even hit his most beloved wife; if this is his love, then my son should also be punished.

”You shut your mouth right now. Don’t blame me for being rude if you keep talking. Whether or not I’m a coward has nothing to do with you. What kind of person I am also has nothing to do with you. I’ve made it very clear to you now, you said it yourself, from now on we have no connection, no relationship, we are just strangers. So why speak to a stranger with such a tone? I don’t care what you’ve done behind my back before, and I don’t care if you were with me just to achieve your goals. I won’t pursue these things, but I don’t ever want to hear anyone say I’m a coward again; otherwise, I will blame all the faults on you!”

Xia Jing didn’t expect Zhang Zhentian to actually hit her. Over the years, even though she had made many mistakes, Zhang Zhentian had never laid a hand on her. This was the first time, and she was truly stunned.

”You actually dared to hit me, but I hope you remember this slap for the rest of your life. Since you’ve hit me, it means we will never have any relationship again. The bond between us has been broken by your own hands. Remember, if one day you beg me to come back to you, think carefully about what you’ve done to me today. Your slap has severed our decade-long marital bond. You’ve never hit me in all these years, every day was filled with laughs and joy, but today, just because I called you a coward, you hit me. Can’t you take a joke? Do you really think so little of yourself as a man? You always need a woman to stand up for you when you encounter difficulties. Don’t you feel like your life is a failure? A man like you, what’s the point of living in this world? Hitting a woman just shows you really are a useless man.

I won’t say much now, but I hope you remember this slap. This slap across my face, with the imprint of fingers, has ended our acquaintance, our intimacy, our commitment, and our separation...

If I had known you were the kind of man who would hit a woman, I would never have been with you because it shames me. A man who dares to hit his own wife proves he has no backbone. Your actions have proven that you’re useless, a coward, a man without responsibility. All this only shows that every mistake you’ve made is despicable in the eyes of others!”

Zhang Zhentian looked at his own hands; he too hadn’t expected to hit the woman he loved most in a fit of rage. But perhaps this slap had completely severed the affection between them, a proud woman slapped in the face by a man.

Xia Jing simply couldn’t accept this. Even if this man loved her and had given everything for her without a second thought, he had hit her today, and that slap had crushed her heart completely.

”Xia Jing, I’m sorry. The slap I just gave you wasn’t intentional. I just lost my temper and hit you. I really didn’t mean to hurt you. Please forgive me, alright? Don’t be mad at me; otherwise, I really don’t know what to do!”

”You don’t have to say anything more to me, and I hope you don’t think about keeping me by your side. Whether it was intentional or not, since you’ve hit me, it means that you do not love me that much. If you don’t love me, don’t drag me down. Let me find the love I want, let me live my own life, let me achieve what I’ve been looking forward to my whole life!

You might think that the slap was accidental, but in my eyes, it was deliberate. You slapped me because you didn’t want me to speak those words, because you can’t accept that your actions are cowardly. I’ve thought about it. If the man I love most ever hit me, I will never live with him again, because a man who hits his wife has proven decisively that he is not a man. I will absolutely not live with someone who isn’t a man!

Do you dare say you’re still a man now?”

Zhang Zhentian was left speechless by Xia Jing’s question. He knew that this time, he was in the wrong!
