Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2700: Chapter 1932: A Perfect Match

Caroline’s name, Maiyous naturally had heard before, and he had even met her once, at a top global business forum.

In his impression, she was a businesswoman whose speech and behavior exhibited an extraordinary level of vision and depth.

Maiyous’ think tank team had also analyzed the attendees at the time, their conclusion about Caroline was that she is a person of coldness, cunning, wisdom, and a difficult opportunist.

If a commercial conflict arises with her, the danger level is four and a half out of five.

Because of this assessment by the think tank, Maiyous had a quite deep impression of her.

But after that, there was no more contact between the two parties.

Unexpectedly now, Caroline has found her way to him, which greatly surprised Maiyous.

In his memory, Caroline, like Bai Xiaosheng, is a member of the top management of the Zhenbei Group.

The difference is, Caroline has a powerful family behind her, which is well-regarded in North America and the world.

”Why is she reaching out to me?” Maiyous slightly frowned and thought to himself.

Caroline should not know that he plans to deal with Bai Xiaosheng, thus it should have nothing to do with Bai Xiaosheng, and today’s call is purely coincidental?

Even though he thought this way, Maiyous still had a vague feeling that it may be related to Bai Xiaosheng.

This thought had no basis, it was just a feeling.

Maiyous certainly could not have guessed that Caroline’s brother Robert was in a passionate relationship with his illegitimate daughter Lorna, practically his future son-in-law.

Caroline already knew about his family matters.

”Mr. Maiyous, are you available to speak with Miss Caroline? She mentioned that she has some urgent matters to discuss with you, and she said you would be interested.”

The intermediary on the phone seemed to sense Maiyous’ silence and probed.

Maiyous snapped back to reality, smiled at the person on the phone, and said, ”Since it’s you bridging this connection, I must give some face. Well then, I have the time now, and would be willing to converse with Miss Caroline.”

The person was delighted upon hearing this, feeling Maiyous was being very courteous, and his own reputation was boosted.

”Alright then, Mr. Maiyous, I’ll hang up first, please hold on, Miss Caroline will soon call you, her number’s last few digits are...”

The person briefed Maiyous thoroughly and then hung up.

While waiting for the call, Maiyous pondered thoughtfully.

Currently, he and Caroline are in two different continents, not even in the same hemisphere, with no business dealings between them, so if not for something related to Bai Xiaosheng, why would Caroline seek him out?

Could it be that Maiyous Family’s achievements in East Africa’s business scene have reached her ears, leading her to seek collaboration?

This possibility was indeed quite high.

Maiyous followed this line of thought. If collaborating with Caroline, how should he discuss to be most advantageous to himself. The resources behind Caroline, including the Zhenbei Group and her own family, although separated by vast oceans, US Dollar is globally circulated...

Maiyous was thinking about these things, and also casually searching for information about Caroline, to facilitate their conversation.

Not long after, his phone rang.

He took a glance at the incoming number, connected the call, placed it by his ear, and gently said, ”Hello?”

A pleasant female voice came from the other end, from the voice alone, one might think it belongs to a beauty, and in Maiyous’ impression, Caroline indeed had good looks...

”Is it Mr. Maiyous? I’m Caroline. We’ve met, at a global forum in Asia three years ago.” Caroline said.

Maiyous faintly smiled and said, ”I remember, at that time I was greatly admiring Miss Caroline, I wanted to leave a contact, but unfortunately our schedules were tight, and couldn’t make it happen, truly a pity.”

After some pleasantries, the conversation atmosphere became relaxed.

”I heard that Maiyous Family is expanding in East Africa’s business world, Mr. Maiyous indeed has grand visions, I believe in the near future, Maiyous Family will become the strongest business family in Africa.”

”I also heard that Miss Caroline is the leading figure of the Zhenbei Group in North America, your family’s development is rapid, and on the latest Forbes ranking, your personal rank is quite astonishing.”

After exchanging compliments, Maiyous directly steered the conversation toward the main topic, ”Miss Caroline has contacted me, is there any guidance, or perhaps is there something regarding business cooperation between us?”

Caroline let out a light laugh from the other end, and said, ”Indeed nothing escapes Mr. Maiyous, there is cooperation to be had, but it’s not as you might think.”

These words piqued Maiyous’ curiosity, ”How do you mean?”

”I do indeed wish to cooperate with Maiyous Family, but not in the ordinary sense.”

Caroline’s words made Maiyous more curious, he patiently listened on.

Caroline said, ”Mr. Maiyous, do you have a daughter named Lorna.”

These words froze Maiyous’ smile, and his eyes also showed astonishment.

Has Caroline, far away across the hemisphere, already known about this matter? It’s been such a short time, this was something only a few people knew, how could she know?

Who leaked it?

Maiyous’ first thought was that the information was leaked through Anlos, through Bai Xiaosheng.

”Yes, Miss Caroline, how do you know?” Maiyous asked in a deep voice.

The tone was no longer so friendly.
