Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2694: Chapter 1930: The Troublemaker

Levante called his master, Mr. Maiyous, and truthfully reported the situation here in full detail. After speaking, Levante held his breath and respectfully waited for his master’s next instructions.

There was a long silence on the other end of the phone before a deep, magnetic voice was heard.

”Understood, I will communicate with Anlos. You all stay at Eisenlag and wait for my next instructions.”

Upon hearing this, Levante immediately replied respectfully, ”Alright, Mr. Maiyous.”

After hanging up the phone, Jim came over and asked, ”Mr. Levante, what did my father say?”

Levante did not conceal anything and passed on the exact words.

Jim naturally had no objections to his father’s decision and only asked, ”So, Mr. Levante, do we now...”

The negotiations had broken down, and it was clearly inappropriate to remain at the Anlos Family’s hotel.

Where to go would depend on what Mr. Levante decided.

Although Jim is the son of Maiyous, he knows that Levante has been his father’s trusted confidant for years, even more valued than himself, and is the leading figure on this trip.

Therefore, this ”superfluous question” was entirely to express respect for him.

”This hotel belongs to the Anlos Family, and staying here poses many inconveniences. Mr. Jim, I suggest we switch to another hotel and rest while awaiting Mr. Maiyous’s next instructions, alright?” Levante said harmoniously.

”I leave it to you.” Jim said with a smile.

The two immediately agreed and stood up.

Jim waved to call over the attendants waiting in the distance to go downstairs together.

Once they reached the hotel lobby on the first floor, the hotel manager they had seen before approached them with a smile.

”Gentlemen, are you leaving already?” The hotel manager smiled warmly and spoke sincerely.

Considering that even if both sides had not reached an agreement, the Anlos Family would still value the Maiyous Family’s status and would not neglect them.

This was very likely the Anlos Family instructing people to warmly entertain or perhaps keep them.

As it was close to noon, Levante speculated they wanted to keep them there for lunch.

Of course, they did not accept this kindness, which could be seen as a small expression of discontent.

”No need to retain us, Manager. We won’t be dining here for lunch,” Levante said blandly.

This butler of the Maiyous Family displayed a slightly aloof demeanor, and his tone carried a hint of arrogance, truly exuding an aura of nobility.

The hotel manager rubbed his hands in regret with a smile, ”That’s quite a shame.”

After finishing, Levante was about to leave with Jim but saw the other still standing in their way, which startled him to ask, ”Is there anything else, Mr. Manager?”

The hotel manager appeared slightly embarrassed.

”But please feel free to speak,” Levante said, lifting his chin.

”Um...” The hotel manager cautiously spoke up, ”Could you please settle the coffee bill?”

This sentence left Levante stunned.

Even Jim beside him looked at the hotel manager in disbelief.

What? Asking them to pay the coffee bill?

When they sat down to chat with Bai Xiaosheng, someone served coffee, but they hadn’t touched it.

Of course, that’s not the point!

The point is, they are guests, esteemed guests from the Maiyous Family!

What kind of hospitality is this from the Anlos Family, actually asking such distinguished guests to pay for their coffee? It’s simply absurd!

Is this an insult to the Maiyous Family?

Levante’s expression changed dramatically, his eyes raging with anger.

Jim was the same.

”Say that again!” Levante glared fiercely at the hotel manager and shouted.

This isn’t about money; it’s a matter of pride, touching their dignity!

The hotel manager, facing the fury of distinguished guests, became anxious.

Although he didn’t know their exact identities, with prior orders from Mr. Anlos and then Bai Xiaosheng meeting them, they must not be ordinary people, or at least not someone he could afford to offend.

So he thought it better to step back and not make things too extreme...

The hotel manager immediately bowed with a conciliatory smile, ”It’s fine to put it on the tab.”

It would have been better if he hadn’t said this, but saying it almost made Levante and Jim spit blood from anger.

Asking the Maiyous Family to pay was already an insult, putting it on the tab was even worse! How could the most powerful family on the Benzhou continent owe you money for two cups of coffee?

If word got out, would the Maiyous Family still have any face left!

Jim, with a dark face, directly took a thick stack of brand-new U.S. dollars, about ten thousand, from his attendant beside him and threw it at the manager.

”Is that enough!” Jim gritted his teeth and said.

The manager hurried to catch the money, smiling apologetically, ”It’s too much, would you like me to give you change or hold it under your name first.”

This remark was like twisting a knife into the wound.

”The extra is for you to shut up!” Jim gritted his teeth in anger.

Levante stared coldly at the hotel manager and confirmed, ”Is this Mr. Anlos’s instruction?”

In his view, without the boss’s orders, a mere subordinate would never dare to be so presumptuous and rude to a super family!

If it were Anlos’s order, Levante felt he needed to contact Mr. Maiyous to report this ”trivial” matter truthfully!

Though minor, this incident, seemingly insignificant, represented the Anlos Family’s trampling on them!

It also reflected the Anlos’s attitude towards the collaboration!

The hotel manager, seeing the two people whom Chief Bai had personally met getting angry, quickly laughed apologetically, ”Gentlemen, this, this isn’t my idea, nor Mr. Anlos’s order. It’s Chief Bai’s requirement, please don’t misunderstand, and don’t make it awkward for me...”
