Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2656: Chapter 1912: Mysterious Gift (Part 2)

This is the residence of Chief Ogade.

Upon entering the hall, the tables and chairs were already set up, covered with snow-white tablecloths, and exquisite silver tableware reflecting an elegant glow under the soft lighting.

The chief steward welcomed Bai Xiaosheng and his party, pulled out their chairs for them, and invited them to take a seat, mentioning that Chief Ogade would arrive shortly.

After taking their seats, everyone engaged in casual conversation.

Soon, Chief Ogade and Lady Daliya appeared in the hall.

Chief Ogade was still seated in a wheelchair, pushed by Lady Daliya, but he looked in excellent spirits, his smile overflowing.

Everyone immediately stood up to welcome them.

”Sit, sit, don’t be polite, don’t be restrained, you are not guests of Oshan; you are family!” Chief Ogade cheerfully addressed Bai Xiaosheng and the others.

Then, Chief Ogade held Bai Xiaosheng’s hand and softly said, ”Sheng, my gratitude to you, Oshan’s gratitude to you, is eternal. Today I won’t call you Mr., just your name. Considering my age, I’ll call you Sheng. Is that okay? I asked Awak Wak Lakla, who said that calling you this way feels friendly. What do you think? If you don’t like it, I can change the name.”

Chief Ogade’s words revealed his heartfelt gratitude to Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng not only diagnosed the illness that put him at risk but also helped Oshan solve issues with three troublesome partners, which is indeed worthy of such gratitude from the Supreme Chieftain.

Beside them, Lady Daliya wore a serene smile, not finding her husband’s words inappropriate.

Chen Feiqiu was grinning broadly.

It’s indeed a proud moment when one’s friend receives recognition from the Supreme Chieftain, his father.

”Chief Ogade, there’s absolutely no issue with you calling me that; I like it very much.” Bai Xiaosheng also replied with a smile.

”Come, come, let’s sit down and talk.” Chief Ogade nodded with a smile and invited everyone to take a seat.

After everyone was seated, Chief Ogade smiled at Bai Xiaosheng and said, ”These days, I’ve read your business ideas completely, from Oshan to West Africa to the entire continent, and I wholeheartedly endorse your ideas. I eagerly wanted to discuss it with you, but my medical officer and Daliya wouldn’t allow me to focus too much on work. Now I finally have a chance to communicate with you face to face. I have some questions and want to discuss them with you now.”

Bai Xiaosheng immediately smiled, ”Please go ahead.”

With no outsiders present, there was no need for reservations; Chief Ogade directly began discussing some matters with Bai Xiaosheng.

Some of Bai Xiaosheng’s insights made Chief Ogade and Lady Daliya nod frequently.

Beside them, Chen Feiqiu, Lin Weiwei, and Lei Ying listened intently, marveling at Bai Xiaosheng’s strong reasoning.

Soon, the head steward inquired if they could start serving the meal, and with Chief Ogade’s consent, a series of dishes were brought out.

While savoring the delicacies, Chief Ogade didn’t forget to continue his discussion with Bai Xiaosheng.

”We’ve talked quite a bit. Are you here to dine with Sheng or discuss work?” Beside him, Lady Daliya commented with a smile, slightly teasing her husband.

Following Chief Ogade’s change of address, Lady Daliya also changed her address for Bai Xiaosheng.

Faced with his wife’s critique, Chief Ogade offered an apologetic smile and said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”Look at me, once I get the chance, I just keep talking. Don’t blame me.”

”Not at all, speaking with you is also an opportunity for learning,” Bai Xiaosheng replied with a smile.

This was not flattery. Through conversation, Bai Xiaosheng discovered that the perspective of this Supreme Chieftain was far beyond ordinary, and even a casual remark could potentially open new directions, offering Bai Xiaosheng great insight.

”You’re a child who knows how to talk, come, let’s have a drink together.” Chief Ogade, in good spirits, raised his wine glass.

Currently, the state of Chief Ogade’s health doesn’t allow for alcohol, so he drinks low-alcohol fruit wine, which is akin to a beverage.

Bai Xiaosheng raised his glass, and everyone else lifted their cups.

Amidst the clinking of glasses, the atmosphere seemed quite harmonious and warm.

Afterward, Chief Ogade ceased the work talk and shared some amusing anecdotes, including some funny stories from his younger days, with laughter constantly echoing.

As the drinking continued into the third round and the food through the fifth flavor,

Chief Ogade patted Bai Xiaosheng’s hand and said with a smile, ”Sheng, you saved my life. I haven’t rewarded you for this gratitude. Don’t mention verbal promises; they don’t count and don’t suit my character. Besides, considering the great assistance you provided to Oshan, we owe you a commission, which we won’t omit.”

Bai Xiaosheng modestly replied with a few polite words.

Chief Ogade directly interrupted him, ”What I have spoken, you mustn’t refuse, or else I’ll be unhappy!”

”That’s right, Sheng, this represents our heartfelt goodwill.” Even Lady Daliya chimed in.

Bai Xiaosheng had no choice but to stop refusing.

Nearby, Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but get excited, thinking Chief Ogade would soon ask Bai Xiaosheng what he desired or wished for.

She was also curious about what Bai Xiaosheng might want.

As it turned out, Chief Ogade did not offer a wish, but instead smiled mysteriously at Bai Xiaosheng and said, ”Out of gratitude and as a reward, I have prepared a gift for you, but I can’t show it to you now. Tomorrow, I’ll take you to see it!”

Upon hearing this, even Bai Xiaosheng was momentarily stunned, unclear about what Chief Ogade’s gift could possibly be.

Having already graciously accepted, Bai Xiaosheng smiled slightly and said, ”Then I must thank you in advance.”

Chief Ogade nodded in satisfaction.

Soon, the dinner was finished. After chatting for a while, Chief Ogade, feeling a bit tired, smiled at Bai Xiaosheng and said, ”I must go for some treatment soon, so I can’t accompany you further.”

Bai Xiaosheng also smiled and said, ”Please take care and get plenty of rest.”

At this point, Lady Daliya wheeled Chief Ogade away, and everyone rose to see them off reverently.

After sending off the Supreme Chieftain and his wife, Chen Feiqiu also offered to escort Bai Xiaosheng and the other two back.

On the way, seeing no one else around, Lin Weiwei asked Chen Feiqiu curiously, ”Do you know what the gift Chief Ogade mentioned for Xiaosheng might be?”

Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying also looked toward Chen Feiqiu.

Chen Feiqiu shrugged his shoulders immediately and said, ”Don’t ask me, I only heard about it at the table like you guys.”

Getting no information from Chen Feiqiu, Lin Weiwei was a bit disappointed, but her anticipation only grew.

After sending Bai Xiaosheng and the other two back to their accommodation, Chen Feiqiu stayed for a moment before taking his leave.

As it was getting late, Bai Xiaosheng also told Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying to go rest.

That night passed without any talk.

The next day, Chen Feiqiu came to find the three of them, and the four had breakfast together.

After breakfast, a steward approached them.

”Mr. Awak Wak Lakla, Mr. Bai Xiaosheng, Chief Ogade instructed that after breakfast, you are to go to the airfield,” the steward said.

This statement left the four of them stunned.

Wasn’t Chief Ogade supposed to give Bai Xiaosheng a thank you gift? Why go to the airfield?

Could it be that the gift was air-freighted in?

”To the helicopter pad?” Chen Feiqiu asked the steward.

”No, it’s to the jet airfield,” the steward quickly emphasized, ”the one at the foot of the mountain. I’ve heard that Chief Ogade will also be going there shortly.”

The steward’s words made everyone even more curious.

Chen Feiqiu asked about other matters, but the steward was clueless.

After all, the head steward hadn’t mentioned anything, and he dared not inquire further.

Seeing that he truly knew nothing, Chen Feiqiu gave up and waved him away.

After the steward left, Chen Feiqiu planned to call the head steward to ask but was stopped by Bai Xiaosheng.

”We’ll find out when we get there, and since Chief Ogade is also going, why rush?” Bai Xiaosheng said with a smile.

Chen Feiqiu relented.

Afterward, Chen Feiqiu led Bai Xiaosheng and the other two out of the castle, driving down the mountain.

Half an hour later, they arrived at a formal airfield complete with a runway.

Of course, it wasn’t owned by an airline, but was private property of the Supreme Chieftain.

Under the staff’s guidance, they boarded a small jet, which was furnished like a luxurious living room, with everything one could need.

However, nothing inside seemed like a gift.

As everyone puzzled over this, Chief Ogade and Lady Daliya boarded the plane as well.

Chief Ogade seemed to be in high spirits, and as soon as he boarded, he smiled at Bai Xiaosheng and said, ”I’m now going to take you to see the gift we have for you.”

The gift wasn’t here and required traveling by jet plane to see?!

Hearing this, even Bai Xiaosheng was filled with curiosity.

What could that gift be?!
