Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2653: Chapter 1911: ”Persuading” Brady

After returning to the company headquarters from Chief Ogade’s residence, Mr. Brady grew more and more infuriated. After handling some pressing business tasks, he began organizing the content of his conversation with Bai Xiaosheng, emphasizing Bai Xiaosheng’s disregard for the group’s interests and his actions of ’betraying the group’.

Though Bai Xiaosheng hadn’t committed acts that harmed the group’s interests, obstructing Keruoge from obtaining greater benefits from Oshan was itself a crime!

After organizing the information, Brady planned to send this ’report’ straight to the group headquarters.

On one hand, he wanted Bai Xiaosheng to be punished, allowing him to vent his anger.

On the other hand, he hoped to force Bai Xiaosheng to change his stance and assist Keruoge in securing benefits from Oshan.

As for how Bai Xiaosheng would persuade Chief Ogade to offer advantages to Keruoge again, regardless of any difficulties in the process, Brady didn’t care.

”To push Bai Xiaosheng over the edge on this issue, Xuanyu can’t be involved. He’s busy, and his status isn’t suitable to show up. We need someone with longstanding grievances against Bai Xiaosheng, someone whose interests conflict with his, and who would be willing to use ’extreme’ measures.”

Brady contemplated for a moment and then found a suitable candidate.

”I heard that Vice Chairman Morgan has always had a few criticisms of Bai Xiaosheng. He couldn’t be more suitable!”

Having chosen his target, Brady typed even harder on the keyboard.

Effortlessly, hundreds of words appeared on the screen.

Recalling Bai Xiaosheng’s infuriating face, Brady found his words flowing like a river, unstoppable.

At that moment, the door to his office was knocked on.

Brady’s thoughts were temporarily interrupted. He frowned and looked toward the door, speaking in a deep voice, ”Enter!”

The office door was pushed open, and the secretary leaned in. Seeing Brady’s somewhat displeased expression, she quickly said, ”Mr. Brady, you have visitors.”

”Who is it?” Brady asked, frowning, ”Didn’t I say I’m not seeing anyone today?”

Even so, Brady knew that his secretary understood his temperament. If the visitor were anyone ordinary, she would have politely turned them down and not come to report.

The secretary hastily added, ”They are from the group and specifically requested to see you. Their status is special, and we didn’t dare stop them or inquire further.”

Brady’s eyes showed a hint of intrigue.

Visitors from the group?

And of special status?

”Show them in,” Brady mused for a moment before speaking.

The secretary nodded quickly and withdrew.

A moment later, the office door was knocked on twice more and then was pushed open by the secretary.

Two people walked in, one behind the other.

Brady was surprised at the sight of these two and looked at them with a gaze full of bewilderment.

”It’s you two?!”

The visitors, a man and a woman, were not strangers but were the two ’attendants’ often seen beside Bai Xiaosheng.

Brady had met them before.

However, why were they here, claiming to be people from the group?

What’s going on here!

Brady assumed it was related to Bai Xiaosheng and felt a surge of anger.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying nodded politely at Brady, adopting an official stance.

In fact, they were formally dressed, with badges on their chests indicating their special status within the group.

It was this that convinced the secretary of their identity.

”Mr. Brady, hello,” Lin Weiwei began, smiling at Brady. ”We are the highest-level inspectors from the headquarters Supervision Department, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying. We are here to conduct a review of the Keruoge company.”

Seeing that high-level secrecy was involved, Brady’s secretary dared not listen in and quietly exited, closing the door from outside.

Lin Weiwei’s official tone made Brady’s eyes narrow slightly.

Firstly, the Zhenbei Group’s headquarters’ Supervision Department always operated covertly. Most of the time, investigations were completed and reports sent to headquarters without the relevant companies even being aware.

They never showed up openly to announce, ”I’m here to investigate you.”

Secondly, Keruoge is a company directly under the chairman, now under acting chairman Bai Xuanyu. The Supervision Department usually ’avoided’ them.

Are they setting a precedent today?!

This seems to be the first time someone has come under the banner of the Supervision Department.

And then, there was the timing.

Brady had just returned from his meeting with Bai Xiaosheng, furious with him, and right away, Bai Xiaosheng’s people were here saying they wanted to investigate Keruoge!

This was clearly to disrupt his report, here to cause trouble!

Brady understood it all, grinding his teeth.

Bai Xiaosheng was indeed abusing his power! Sinister intentions, truly reprehensible!

Brady was seething with rage, but even if Bai Xiaosheng sent Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying to investigate, they were exercising legitimate authority, as Keruoge couldn’t ignore the regulations.

Back when Brady clashed with Bai Xiaosheng, he wasn’t worried about any negative impact on business with Oshan, as Chen Feiqiu was also a witness, and it wasn’t feasible for Bai Xiaosheng to simply say no cooperation, and that would be the end of it.

So, Brady wasn’t afraid of what Bai Xiaosheng might do, and even faced his threats.

But he hadn’t expected Bai Xiaosheng to play this card.

”Bai Xiaosheng, you scoundrel!” Brady gritted his teeth while glaring at Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying. In a hoarse voice, he said, ”Did Bai Xiaosheng send you here? If I report his vile deeds, he sends you to disgust Keruoge, isn’t that right?!”

Lin Weiwei smiled at his words, responding politely, ”Mr. Brady, you misunderstand. We are merely following normal inspection procedures, not targeting anyone. If you’re busy, we’ll just take a brief look around. But if you insist on doing things outside your authority... we won’t stop you, which would imply you have plenty of time, so please cooperate with our detailed inspection!”
