Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2641: Chapter 1906: Anxious Brady

In a lounge within the Supreme Chieftain’s Residence, Mr. Brady sat quietly waiting with his trusted aides.

Accompanying them was a cup of tea.

They had been sitting for several hours.

Not to mention seeing Chen Feiqiu, they hadn’t even seen a ghost.

Finally, one of Mr. Brady’s aides couldn’t resist and, seeing no one around, leaned close to Mr. Brady and whispered, ”Mr. Brady, it’s almost noon. Are we going to just sit here waiting the whole time? Maybe we should call the butler to inquire again.”

Initially, a butler there had received them, arranged for them to rest here, and conveyed the Supreme Chieftain’s words.

Presently, the Supreme Chieftain was receiving some critical treatment and could not attend, Lady Daliya was accompanying him and could not leave.

Regarding the commercial negotiations with Mr. Brady, they had been handed over to the chieftain’s son—Mr. Awak Wak Lakla, along with the newly appointed special commercial adviser of the country.

Unfortunately, Mr. Awak Wak Lakla and the adviser were not present at this location, reportedly busy with some matters in another city.

Naturally, Brady was aware of whom the butler referred to as the special commercial adviser—it was Bai Xiaosheng!

Previously, Brady hadn’t expected Bai Xiaosheng to suddenly transform into the special commercial adviser of the Oshan Chieftaincy.

Besides being surprised at this matter, Brady was faintly worried.

After all, he had met Bai Xiaosheng before, and their conversation hadn’t been pleasant.

But Brady thought, ultimately Bai Xiaosheng is a person of the group and would logically lean towards group interests; otherwise, he couldn’t answer to the group’s senior management.

Considering this, Brady wasn’t overly worried.

To return to the subject, Brady and his aides waited there until shortly before noon.

Glancing at his aide, Brady furrowed his brow slightly and whispered, ”Mr. Awak Wak Lakla, along with Bai Xiaosheng, have indeed been negotiating business with the giants Hogson and Anlos, so it’s understandable that they are busy with affairs. If they can spare time, they will probably come over promptly; let’s wait a little longer.”

Brady was both comforting his aides and reassuring himself.

Little did he know, Bai Xiaosheng and Chen Feiqiu were on a yacht enjoying the sea breeze at a party, savoring delicious roasted seafood, feeling quite at ease.

The aide was about to say something but was stopped by Brady gesturing.

Because Brady saw the butler who had previously received them appearing at the door, walking toward them.

The aide also noticed and immediately drew slightly away from Brady, sitting up straight.

”Mr. Brady.” The butler from Chen Feiqiu’s household showed a smile from afar and approached with a respectful and polite manner, ”Sorry to keep you waiting for so long!”

Brady was no ordinary businessman and had to be fully courteous.

And the butler was not the chief butler of the palace, so his attitude was even more deferential.

”That’s alright. May I ask, has Mr. Awak Wak Lakla returned?” Brady stood up and asked urgently.

”Ah, I was just about to tell you about this matter.” The butler’s smile was sincere and genuine, also with an apologetic touch, ”There has been a change in Mr. Awak Wak Lakla’s situation, he originally could have rushed back, but was delayed.”

”However, Mr. Awak Wak Lakla said he would hurry back as soon as possible!”

”Awak Wak Lakla specifically instructed us to treat Mr. Brady well, which was also the early command from Chief Ogade.”

”Now, please follow me to the dining room, our chef here has carefully prepared lunch. Perhaps after the meal, Mr. Awak Wak Lakla will be back.”

Upon hearing this, Brady indeed felt somewhat hungry.

In fact, he had rushed over right after getting off the plane, only having eaten two cookies for breakfast on the way, there was really not much food in his stomach.

”Well... alright, if you would lead the way for us.” Brady replied politely.

The butler promptly guided the two to the dining room.

It must be said, the lunch prepared for Brady and his aide was indeed exquisite, with dishes in French style.

The full-course French meal was elegant and leisurely, taking two hours to finish.

This brought them into the afternoon.

After that, the butler again led Brady and his aide back to the lounge, served red tea, and withdrew.

They sat again, for another two hours.

By now, even Brady was somewhat annoyed.

As head of an enterprise rich enough to rival nations, Brady carried immense responsibilities, with numerous daily tasks—not an exaggeration to say he was busy beyond measure.

Today, he had squeezed out time to conduct business negotiations with the Oshan.

If they could negotiate, even if the talks didn’t go smoothly, it wouldn’t be considered a waste of time.

But now, just sitting idly waiting, not even seeing a single person, was not only a waste of time but also somewhat suffocating.

Finally, Brady couldn’t stand it and instructed his aide to find the butler.

”May I ask, how much longer before Mr. Awak Wak Lakla returns?” Brady remained polite, but his words were more direct.

The butler continued smiling broadly and spoke courteously, ”I really don’t know. But Mr. Awak Wak Lakla should indeed be busy and unable to break free, otherwise he certainly wouldn’t be delayed, especially since you’re here. Perhaps he is already on his way, we also just made a phone call but couldn’t get through.”

The attitude was there, the explanation was complete.

Moreover, this was the Supreme Chieftain’s residence, Brady could only endure it.
