Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2625: Chapter 1899: Alger Arrives

Bai Xiaosheng stayed in the Supreme Chieftain’s palace in Oshan for three days. Three days later, news came that the Huaxia Business Group had set off.

Given the time constraints, Bai Xiaosheng didn’t manage to bid farewell.

However, there was no need for a send-off. In today’s era, a phone call or a video can connect people emotionally even if they’re on different continents, and coordinate cooperation between both sides.

As long as the emotion is there, space is not a problem.

Bai Xiaosheng wished everyone a safe journey in the group chat, and they responded warmly by bidding farewell to him in the chat.

After the business group left, Bai Xiaosheng felt a sense of nostalgia.

Aside from the departure of the business group, Bai Xiaosheng had nothing else going on in the past three days. Lady Delia hadn’t appeared again and didn’t send anyone to inquire about Bai Xiaosheng’s decision on becoming Oshan’s special business advisor, which seemed to give him ample time to consider and make the decision freely.

On the morning of the fourth day, Chen Feiqiu came to find the three of them as usual, and today’s plan was to take them fishing at sea.

Just after chatting for a while, a servant came to find Chen Feiqiu.

”Mr. Awak Wak Lakla, Lady Daliya has some matters for you to attend to.”

The servant said this in front of Bai Xiaosheng and the other two.

”What’s the matter?” Chen Feiqiu asked casually, seeing the servant did not mind Bai Xiaosheng, the guest.

”Should we step aside?” Bai Xiaosheng suggested.

Chen Feiqiu glanced at the servant, and seeing he was unreactive, said, ”No need. Is it a confidential matter? Hey, can you tell us?”

The servant, considering the situation, directly said, ”Mr. Awak Wak Lakla, this matter isn’t confidential and can be discussed.”

”Then go ahead and say it.”

Seeing this, Bai Xiaosheng also stopped insisting on stepping aside.

The servant said, ”Here’s the situation: a messenger from the Hogson Family has arrived, seeking understanding from Chief Ogade regarding last time’s misunderstanding.”

Chen Feiqiu frowned slightly at this and muttered, ”Aren’t such matters usually handled by Asgar?”

”Mr. Asgar is not home.” The servant replied truthfully.

”Hogson Family, sounds familiar. What misunderstanding do they have with us?” Chen Feiqiu asked.

To be honest, Chen Feiqiu hadn’t been managing affairs much; he had only started taking his political and economic study courses upon his return, and that too passively.

The servant seemed quite knowledgeable and immediately said, ”Mr. Hogson’s son, Alger, previously incited his uncle Wagg to join with Mira to frame our guests from Huaxia. Afterwards, the Chief did not make things difficult for Alger, but asked their family to give an explanation. This time, the Hogson Family sent someone to resolve the matter, and the messenger is Mr. Alger.”

These words made Bai Xiaosheng and the others look over.

”The Hogson Family is Alger’s family, no wonder it sounds familiar.” Chen Feiqiu said, rubbing his chin and frowning, ”Alger, from last time’s incident, really got away unscathed!”

Bai Xiaosheng discreetly glanced at the servant.

This person was speaking openly in front of him, evidently to make sure he heard it, and it was somewhat unusual for a servant to know so much inside information.

It seemed Lady Daliya intentionally had someone inform him.

”Understood, have that Alger go wait in the fourth hall, I’ll be there shortly.” Chen Feiqiu said.

The servant glanced at Bai Xiaosheng and his companions, bowed to Chen Feiqiu, and retreated.

Chen Feiqiu looked at Bai Xiaosheng.

”How about it, want to go with me to take a look?”

”Take a look at what?” Bai Xiaosheng asked with a smile.

”That bastard Alger caused you trouble previously, don’t you want to vent your anger publicly?” Chen Feiqiu said, ”Here, if you vent your anger, he has to endure it!”

Chen Feiqiu himself was also annoyed with that guy, keeping the matter in mind for Bai Xiaosheng.

”Wouldn’t that be inappropriate? It’d only burden the Chief and Lady Daliya.” Bai Xiaosheng laughed.

Chen Feiqiu found it amusing, ”Can’t you see? My mother had it said this clearly in front of you, obviously giving you this chance to vent your anger!”

Chen Feiqiu wasn’t a fool either; with a little thought, he could figure it out.

After all, he was the Chief’s heir, the future successor of the Chief, and he possessed some intelligence.

”The Alger’s family holds the fourth strongest enterprise recognized by the Chieftain Union’s business world in West Africa. From Oshan’s perspective, and even our family’s, letting him off during last time’s incident to use him to pressure Hogson to make concessions in certain areas is in our best interest. But that doesn’t mean we hold him in high esteem; he’s not worthy. Today he’s here, and I let you vent your anger—what’s the problem?! ”

Chen Feiqiu also felt that during the previous incident, Oshan hadn’t been very accommodating to Bai Xiaosheng, especially regarding letting Alger off, thinking of finding a way to make amends today.

”No need for venting.” Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”I’m not that hot-tempered. Even if I were to vent, it wouldn’t be here, that’d only show me as an ill-mannered guest.”

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng decline his ”good intention,” Chen Feiqiu was slightly dissatisfied.

”It’s really no problem; Alger is here to admit his mistake, frankly speaking, he’s here to take the heat, so why are you being polite?!”

Bai Xiaosheng pondered briefly and said, ”Even if revenge is to be taken, it wouldn’t be through a few insults or punches. Alger’s family is negotiating business with Oshan, right? This time he’s come with Hogson Family’s sincerity. That’s great... I can go with you and ensure the price he pays is deeply memorable!”
