Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2619: Chapter 1895: Supreme Chieftain_3

”Mr. Awak Wak Lakla is a very intelligent and eager learner. We have discussed many fields together, and he knows a lot. I am proud to have such a friend,” Bai Xiaosheng said with a smile.

Bai Xiaosheng’s praise was skillful, focusing not on Chen Feiqiu’s background, but on his personal qualities.

Which parent wouldn’t be pleased with such a compliment?

Lady Daliya immediately asked with interest, ”Is that so? What have you exchanged ideas about?”

”Indeed, I would like to hear it as well,” Chief Ogade also said with a smile.

Bai Xiaosheng wasn’t reserved and began to speak right away, causing the chief and his wife to nod repeatedly, their smiles broadening.

Being openly praised like that, Chen Feiqiu couldn’t help but make a playful face.

Among the peers at the table, only he dared to show such an expression; the rest sat upright, smiling as they listened, adhering strictly to etiquette without exaggerated actions.

Of course, some young children inevitably maintained a playful nature, especially the very young ones, who always had trouble sitting still.

At the end of the dining table, a three-year-old boy squirmed constantly, at times reaching for fruit, at others seemingly wanting to jump off his chair.

Faced with the Supreme Chieftain and the presence of esteemed guests, the boy’s mother naturally held onto him tightly under the table, occasionally giving him a stern glance to curb his excessive energy.

Despite the boy’s young age, he was taught some self-restraint, but soon his nature prevailed, and he began to fidget.

The mother incessantly pulled at him and gradually became impatient, unknowingly using more and more force.

And so, with a lapse in attention, an accident suddenly occurred.

Accompanied by a scream of ”ah,” the boy fell from his chair, his shoulder hitting the floor.

Bai Xiaosheng and Chief Ogade were in the midst of a pleasant conversation when they were suddenly interrupted by the scream, instinctively stopping to look over.

Chief Ogade and Lady Daliya also turned their gaze in that direction.

Everyone at the table shifted their attention.

”York, what happened to you?” the boy’s mother exclaimed in alarm.

The boy’s sharp crying filled the air, sounding particularly harsh.

The father beside him immediately scolded in a low voice, ”York, stop crying!”

The father thought it was merely a fall and that the child was just being troublesome.

In front of the Supreme Chieftains and the esteemed guests, how could they display such a lack of decorum?

Yet, the boy paid no heed, his cries becoming increasingly wrenching.

Chief Ogade couldn’t help but frown and demand, ”What’s going on?”

Lady Daliya also stood up, ”Don’t scold young York. Did he hurt himself!”

Bai Xiaosheng also focused his attention in that direction.

Soon, a doctor was called over, and after a brief check, the doctor wiped his brow and said, ”It seems to be a dislocated arm! We need to take Master York for an X-ray, possibly a CT scan, and further observation is necessary. It’s best to take him to the hospital for treatment!”

With these words, the scene became somewhat chaotic.

What was initially a nice banquet now looked like it had lost its atmosphere.

Chief Ogade furrowed his brow, while Lady Daliya, feeling a pang of compassion, walked over.

Bai Xiaosheng discreetly left his seat and made his way over.

”May I take a look at young Master York?” Bai Xiaosheng inquired as he approached.

The doctor, who had insisted on a hospital visit, looked skeptically at Bai Xiaosheng.

Seeing others being courteous to Bai Xiaosheng, he remained polite, saying, ”Sir, what are you looking to do... Are you a doctor as well?”

”I know a bit about traditional Chinese medicine,” Bai Xiaosheng replied with a smile, speaking as he began examining the howling young York.

The child’s parents fixed their gaze on Bai Xiaosheng.

Lady Daliya, holding the child’s other little hand, watched Bai Xiaosheng with concern.

Chief Ogade, from afar, also turned his gaze towards Bai Xiaosheng.

Chen Feiqiu also rose from his seat and approached.

”Are you a Chinese medicine practitioner?”

The doctor seemed startled, then maintained some composure, ”Regardless, I believe we must first take young Master York to the hospital for urgent treatment. There’s no time to lose!”

At this moment, the child’s parents also appeared anxious to follow the doctor’s advice.

After finishing his examination, Bai Xiaosheng directly pulled the father’s hand to press down on young York, instructing, ”Hold him down, Lady Daliya as well!”

Young York’s father and Lady Daliya instinctively complied, both looking at Bai Xiaosheng with puzzled expressions, unsure of his intentions.

”Sir, please don’t fool around!” The doctor was somewhat exasperated.

Bai Xiaosheng grabbed hold of young York’s arm with both hands, smiling at the boy, ”Hold on, young one! It will only hurt for a moment, it will soon pass, you are the Supreme Chieftain’s grandson after all!”

With that, Bai Xiaosheng suddenly exerted force.

The people around heard the boy let out an unprecedented scream.

”What are you doing?!” The doctor exclaimed.

Bai Xiaosheng, without time to respond in detail, released the boy’s arm with a smile and kindly said to him, ”Come, move it a bit, trust me, it’s as strong as it was before.”
