Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2616: Chapter 1894: A Benevolent Heart (Part 3)

There were no outsiders here. Yang Junluo pleaded, ”I’m asking you, for the sake of a father, please help Xiaoyun!”

Facing an old man with hair white as frost begging him so earnestly in person, no matter what, Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help softening a little.

”For Sir Wei’s sake, and also for your sake as a father and an elder, I can agree to this request. I can speak to my friend!”

Bai Xiaosheng said in a deep voice, ”This way, it should be possible to reduce some of the sentence, but I can’t guarantee that Yang Xiaoyun won’t be punished at all, and I absolutely can’t interfere with Oshan’s judicial system. Also, because of Yang Xiaoyun, my business group’s people suffered losses. The Yang Family needs to show some attitude!”

Bai Xiaosheng could not let his own people swallow a dumb loss.

Bai Xiaosheng’s words already made Yang Junluo immensely pleased.

The old man nodded repeatedly and said, ”Mr. Sheng, being able to get your forgiveness is really wonderful. As long as you open your mouth with your friend, that’s enough. As for Yang Xiaoyun, I, this old man, swear on my character that as long as I draw breath, he is not allowed to touch the family business, and he cannot use a single cent of the Yang Family’s money. That is his punishment. As for the losses your business group suffered this time, we will compensate. On top of the original contract, we are willing to yield another ten percent of the profits! That way, it can be considered making up for their losses. What do you think, will that do?”

Bai Xiaosheng thought for a moment.

Calculated like this, in business between the Yang Family and the Huaxia Business Group, they would only be barely making a slim profit, while letting Dong Tianlu and the others make up their losses and even earn another sum.

That was appropriate.

”Alright.” Bai Xiaosheng said.

Right afterward, in front of Yang Junluo, Bai Xiaosheng called Chen Feiqiu and asked him to convey his forgiveness of Yang Xiaoyun to the relevant departments.

Chen Feiqiu readily agreed, and even said that in this way, Yang Xiaoyun could be spared ten years in prison.

Yang Junluo was immensely satisfied with this outcome, and thanked Bai Xiaosheng, who had just hung up the phone, again and again.

Once the matter was settled, Yang Junluo naturally took his leave.

After seeing Yang Junluo off, not long after, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying also rushed back.

Miss Yang Yishan also asked them to pass along a ”thank you.”

Bai Xiaosheng once again told Weiwei and Lei Ying about Chen Feiqiu’s invitation.

When they heard that the dinner that night would be at the Supreme Chieftain’s family banquet, Lin Weiwei and the other two were all extremely shocked.

However, before they could talk much, Bai Xiaosheng’s phone rang.

At first, Bai Xiaosheng thought it was just a single call, but as it turned out, he didn’t have a free moment for the next hour or so.

The first to call was Wen Yan.

After that, Lu Cheng’an, Li Yunyuan, Jiang Kuo, Soruns—one big shot after another called in succession.

Bai Xiaosheng expressed his thanks one by one, all from the bottom of his heart.

Over the phone, Bai Xiaosheng also learned about the group headquarters’ situation from Jiang Kuo and Soruns.

After the situation flipped, those who supported Bai Xiaosheng were all greatly encouraged, while the camp of Vice Chairman Morgan was depressed and dejected.

It was said that from Caroline’s office there even came faint sounds of smashing; afterward they swept up a big pile of porcelain and glass shards...

Besides that, Bai Xiaosheng also heard another piece of news.

This time, when they were voting on his matter, things had originally been at a stalemate, and it was precisely because of acting chairman Bai Xuanyu’s stance that the group chose to abandon him.

The reason Bai Xuanyu gave was that they could not let Bai Xiaosheng affect the interests and reputation of the entire group.

”Bai Xuanyu, huh!”

Hanging up the phone, Bai Xiaosheng murmured that name, and a trace of coldness appeared in his eyes.

This person truly had no consideration for him whatsoever.

But that was fine too; it saved him the trouble of having any scruples about him!

Even if that was the person Bai Zhenbei had raised, from now on he would no longer show him any courtesy!
