Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2608: Chapter 1892: Luckily I Arrived in Time

The son of the Supreme Chieftain, Awak Wak Lakla, or as he should be called according to his request, ”Chen Feiqiu,” his affairs are known by both Mira and Wagg.

Although Asgar is the eldest son, yet from the moment Chen Feiqiu was born, he was surrounded by an aura, as his birthdate coincided with that of a prophet from several hundred years ago!

This has led to the calls for his succession ceaselessly echoing since his infancy, and even the education Asgar has received all along has been aimed at assisting him.

But contrary to expectations, Mr. Awak Wak Lakla is particularly ”rebellious,” having traveled abroad in modest anonymity for so many years, causing Mira and Wagg not to recognize him at first.

Having learned of Chen Feiqiu’s background, Mira and Wagg were no longer doubtful about his personal arrival and his spoken words, ”release the person, apologize, and calm the tide.”

Those words certainly define the final decision!

This means there’s absolutely no room for maneuvering or ”manipulation” for the two of them in this matter.

No matter how much they have done before, no matter how close they were, they almost had Bai Xiaosheng bow his head and achieve the redemption they sought.

A tiny margin separates heaven from hell.

It was precisely because of that margin that made Mira and Wagg feel particularly unwilling.

”Gentlemen, although this decision is from the Supreme Chieftain, it is truly difficult for us to explain this to the public, and it’s hard to account for to the media! If mishandled, it may lead to major domestic protests! After all, Bai Xiaosheng, in the eyes of the outside, gravely harmed the commercial interests of our country! We must give the public an explanation, which is also to uphold the order of Oshan and maintain the prestige of the Supreme Chieftain!”

Mira simply put everything on the line, appearing loyal and devoted, and pleaded fiercely.

At this point, Wagg naturally couldn’t fall behind either.

After all, the two were in the same boat, living and dying together, advancing and retreating together.

Wagg echoed, ”Yes, gentlemen, currently that Huaxia person Bai Xiaosheng is considering exchanging cooperation between their business team and us to calm the storm! As long as we achieve this result, we will have something to explain to the public! From Huaxia’s side, there’s no reason for them to continue to be aggressive! Otherwise, our economic loss is secondary, but the loss of public trust is immeasurable!”

The two emphasized national interest and the honor of the Supreme Chieftain, ”enabling them with reasoning,” persuading Asgar and Chen Feiqiu.

Asgar frowned and said, ”So, what you mean is not to execute the decision of the Supreme Chieftain and other chieftains, and report back to them like this?”

Mira and Wagg didn’t dare accept such heavy responsibility and immediately shook their heads like rattle drums.

They weren’t seeking to persuade these two people but merely seeking a little more time.

”That’s not what we mean! The decision of the Supreme Chieftain must ultimately be implemented... No, it must be carried out shortly!”

”It’s just, can we delay for two... no, just one hour, in that case, Bai Xiaosheng can present a reconciliation method, and we can use this opportunity to step down gracefully, giving a proper account both above and below, wouldn’t that be perfect for everybody!”

The two hurriedly conveyed this layer of meaning to the sons of the two chieftains.

If they truly could proceed like this, they’d achieve what they wanted, and would not lose their jobs when reporting after the storm...

Asgar glanced at Chen Feiqiu, seemingly asking him with his eyes.

Chen Feiqiu shrugged slightly and said to Asgar, ”I’ll go meet Bai Xiaosheng first, you handle things here.”

Asgar nodded with a smile and said, ”Go ahead, I’ll play the bad guy, you be the good guy.”

Mira and Wagg immediately felt a tightness in their hearts.

If Bai Xiaosheng discovers Chen Feiqiu’s identity and intentions, things would change, and their efforts would go down the drain.

”Mr. Chen Feiqiu... You don’t need to personally meet Bai Xiaosheng, considering your status! I’ll bring him to you!” Wagg busily smiled at Chen Feiqiu.

Regardless of whether the two agree to their suggestions, Wagg’s intention was to go over and coerce Bai Xiaosheng into compliance.

As long as Bai Xiaosheng signed some documents, it would be settled, and Huaxia would have to acknowledge it, and the sons of the two chieftains would have nothing to dispute.

Even if engaging with Bai Xiaosheng took up some time, it would’ve pushed the issue onto Bai Xiaosheng.

Wagg thought this plan was perfect.

”Yes indeed, Mr. Chen Feiqiu, just let Mr. Wagg go and bring the person here, after all, he is just a businessman, no need for you to personally go meet him.” Mira also smiled and chimed in, knowing well what Wagg was plotting.

Chen Feiqiu simply smiled at them.

”I appreciate both of your good intentions, but I prefer to meet him in person. After all, he is my friend. When in Huaxia, he even saved my life!”

The words from Chen Feiqiu stunned the smiles of Mira and Wagg instantly.

Was Bai Xiaosheng, a friend of Chen Feiqiu?

He even saved Chen Feiqiu!

Saved the future Supreme Chieftain!

Based solely on this, Bai Xiaosheng could receive the highest level of amnesty, not to mention, he has committed no wrong...

Once the public knew he was the benefactor of the future Supreme Chieftain, their attitude would change...

Mira and Wagg were seemingly dumbfounded.

Chen Feiqiu looked at them, then at Asgar, smiled lightly, and stepped towards the door.

Mira and Wagg didn’t even react, nor had the time to say a word, before he had already left.

As the door closed, Asgar walked up to the two and looked at them meaningfully, saying in a low voice, ”Gentlemen, you thought you were acting cleverly, but since the very first day, the highest council has known the truth! You really shouldn’t have caused this matter to turn into such an unmanageable situation as it is now! I pity your deeds!”
